This doctor not only confirmed my initial intuition but supported me in trusting my gut and not having to listen to every doctors rush to see a specialist. You see, my daughter suffers from bringing home a new baby disorder. The timeline all adds up as does the perfect check-up. He sat my daughter down, got to eye level, and reassured her that she is awesome, special, and loved by her family - and that no one will ever ever change that. It was amazing. He took her and her feelings seriously. As for the other review, he gave my daughter ample warning about the drops and how they'd feel. He also worked quickly and efficiently while doing them so it was over and done with. His way of understanding children and getting them to cooperate while earning their trust lead me to leaving this review - which isn't something I do often. Parents - this is the guy to see. I'd make the drive again in a heartbeat.

(Not even a warning to us) My child freaked out, cried, and was confused as to the lack of warning. Then the Dr had the nerve to tell me my child was undisciplined and argumentative because of home schooling. Ummm...no. My child was ambushed by an authority figure in his/her mind. If they aren't shown consideration, the doctor shouldn't expect it in return. Treat them like people and get some compassion and maybe it would go better. My child has never been that way at any other doctor. Even when getting shots, or in the ER when the eye was injured. We would never go back. Ever.

As far as I'm concerned Dr Colvin is one of the best doctors in the country. When other doctors…read morewere saying that my condition was Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and recommending surgery for that, Dr Colvin didn't think that was the correct diagnosis and sent me for other imaging. What we found was a spinal condition that required surgery on my neck and my lower back. Unlike most spinal institutions who immediately want to give steroid injections he invests the time necessary to get to the root of the proble. This man saved my life and I will always give him the credit that he deserves. Thank You Dr Colvin for giving me my life back.
