I called Krista last minute and anxious! My dog sitter canceled and a rover booking didn't feel safe because she wouldn't let me see the inside of her home. Krista put me at ease immediately with asking in depth questions about my dogs tendencies, behaviors, and personality. We have only left him once at a farm kennel and I was worried that his high energy may be too much to handle with other dogs. She described the dogs that were staying the weekend and told me to plan on booking with her, even though she had not met Milton yet. Krista and I spoke for well over 20 minutes and she said that if she was at all concerned, she would not book us because she typically doesn't take boxers due to their escape artist jumping style. He is a 2 yr old boxer mix with SO much energy yet noise phobia diagnosed by our trainer Jennifer McCarthy. We arrived on Friday afternoon and Milton met the other pups one at a time. He showed some weird territorial behavior so we stayed for a bit to correct it. She was so calming and reassuring and after a tour of her home we snuck out the back so Milton wouldn't watch us leave. He was playing so well with the other 2 dogs of his size and she made sure to keep the smaller dogs in a different area. We got so many photos and updates I was super happy and relaxed. Krista is amazing! She is so intelligent and thoughtful and attentive to your concerns and needs. She knows dogs!! She is also a very qualified dog trainer. I have had a hard time finding someone I can trust to stay in our home and be attentive to our emotionally needy dogs that we have spoiled rotten! We recently had to go on a weekend trip and she stayed with our pups. Sadly, our Doxie had 2 seizures over that weekend (she has had 3 since Christmas) and Krista kept us updated throughout the weekend and would not leave her side. My four-legged baby is everything to me and I travel extensively for business and pleasure. When I contacted Rover's Sleep-Over I had just been burned badly by a sitter that got too comfortable and didn't come to take care of Sadie when she said she would (neighbors told me my dog was howling, no water and scared) so needless to say I was very cautious and wounded when Krista came into our lives. Which is also why I am strict about watching for my sitter being true to their word. Krista has been watching my baby for well over a year now, probably closer to two and I have never been disappointed or worried. She comes when she says she will, she spends the amount of time advertised and she always sends me check in photos. She has never once gotten complacent or forgotten to let me know how they are doing. My doggie has had periods where she has to take a lot of medication and Krista was always great about keeping up with her medication regimen. No easy task, you try getting a 150lb Mastiff that hates pills to take a slew of pills twice a day. At times her food regimen was more complex than rocket building and Krista always followed through and completed feedings that you almost need a Master's degree for, with excellence. Which was so important for Sadie's health. I can't say enough good things about Krista and Rover's Sleep-Over services. She brought in the mail, was accommodating with my fast moving and sometimes spur of the moment schedule and my pup was always stress free when I returned.
