A group of us were in town for homecoming weekend and many of our group members went to college at Mankato and frequented Rounders. We went there for lunch and they had incredible drink deals - $2.50 bloody Mary's, mimosas, or screwdrivers. Staff were kind and service was quick (even with a group of 12). The food options were good and prices fair, I liked the small plate portions for people like me who eats less at one sitting. The chicken tenders were pretty good, and you can't go wrong with homemade ranch and waffle fries! My fiancé loved his burger and scarfed it down, even having leftover fries due to the amount they give you (good problem to have). Bees were surrounding us outside but that's not Rounder's fault. The bathrooms were atrocious, our feet stuck to the floors quite literally and the soap was out of both men's and women's. (Came back at night and someone had vomited in the women's, it was all over and stunk so bad people couldn't use the bathroom - it took a long time before someone cleaned it). ON Sat at around 1:30 am I ordered a beer and turned around and asked my friend what she wanted and he took 2 seconds to respond and it was 2 seconds to late for the bartender that she said fuck you and threw the band new bottle away because of a mood swing throwing away good product because your having a bad day and having a customer kicked out for no reason! I spend hunders of dollars here possibly even thousands but I will never tip here again! If you can't handle a busy Friday night you should not be working as a bartender! Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I had gone to this restaurant 5 years ago and the food was excellent and the service was on point. Not So Much Anymore. To start, the menu is pretty dismal. Not a lot of specials oh, it's basically a build-your-own burger joint. The waitress that we had seemed very distracted by something other than her job. Her stopped at the table were very short and unwelcoming. Well after our meal was done she never even came back to the table to get us our check. My girlfriend basically had to go up to the bar and get someone to help us. My girlfriend like her build a burger. She said that the quality was better than average. For me, remembering how rounders used to be oh, they are but a shadow of themselves. They no longer have my favorite The Rounder Pounder . Their buns seemed burnt, their meat is a pathetic patty , I would say the only highlight is there waffle fries which I found quite enjoyable. I use to love coming here for drinks and great food. last week when I brought some out of town friends I was appalled by how dirty and disgusting everything in this building has become. Staff was on their phone. Our service was subpar. Food was OK the table was disgusting. We had to have the waiter wipe it down after we sat down and he wiped down, I asked if I could get a towelbecause it was still gross. I don't think anyone is doing any cleaning. All I seen was people around on their phones. I won't be back and my friends from Out of town weren't impressed. not sure what happened but someone needs to step up read more

My word, just don't do it, don't go here for ANY reason! Do not order any food. Service is a joke, can't even call it service. Last time we had dinner there my wife had a bunch of sharp bones in her pork sandwich. We couldn't tell the server because she never cam back. She was actually sitting at the bar eating her own dinner while we sat there with empty drinks and inedible food. Calling her a server is insulting to servers. Oh the love one can have for a place that actually cares about its employees and the experience they share with their guests. This place is probably the only upscale bar and restaurant downtown. And it shows, they keep this place well. I have never had a negative food experience and I continue to try it all. They aren't kidding, BEST DAMN HAPPY HOUR DOWNTOWN. BEST DAMN BURGER HANDS DOWN. We went for the breakfast buffet on a Sunday. The website states they open at 9:00 am. We arrived at 9:30 am. We were informed that the coffee was still brewing and may be 5 min out. Since this was our first time at their buffet we order the one-pass buffet. Good thing too. They serve you at their buffet which on my opinion slows down the process a little bit. When we got back our table the food I selected was at best luke warm, cheesy potatoes, scrambled eggs with toppings, sausage, bacon, gravy and biscuits. By the time we both were half-way done the food was cold. In comparison a hotel buffet stays hot on your plate much longer. Coffee came about the time we finished at 9:40 We advised the waitress and she talked to the buffet server who merely looked at the candles under the units. They need a simple thermometer that would let them know the true situation. Waitress was nice by seemed shy; however, kept us informed on the coffee situation. She could have offered a discount when we said our food was cold but I am guessing they are not trained as such. How can you open for breakfast at 9 am and not have coffee ready at 9 am?? It would appear that several customers were there for the Bloody Mary bar and that was the crowd Rounders may have wanted to cater to. We will not be returning nor referring our friends to breakfast at Rounders which is sad as we think their lunch French dip is the best in town. This is my first written review of any establishment. I'm not the type to complain. I understand the difficulty of finding and keeping employees. But I never experienced what we experienced tonight 1/8/2022. We came in with a group of 10 people and sat at a table right next to the bar. The table was not cleared off from the previous customers which was fine. We moved all the plates and glasses to the end of the table so it would be easy to be picked up. We sat there for 15-20 minutes with waitresses walking back and forth past us and not one time acknowledging us. We got the attention of three different waitresses asking for some service they said someone would be there soon.We ended up going up to the bar and getting some drinks. We mentioned to the bartenders if we could get some service at our table. They said we would send someone over. Long story short... after 1 1/2 hours not a single waitress came and took an order from us. Four people from our group went and got a burrito from another establishment and brought the food to our table and ate the food as we finished our drink. The issue with this bar is the service. We order Jag Bomb shots from the bar. Usually they keep the Jaegermeister and the Red Bull separate in those special shot cups, or they put a shot glass inside a plastic cup. Well the bartender just mixed them together in plastic cups. My husband complained and asked why she didn't keep the liquor separated. The bartender turned around and said that if we didn't like it and if there is a problem, she can bring a bouncer over to escort us out. So if you don't like a drink then your going to get kicked out? Seriously? What a horrible attitude from a bartender. At first the place seemed really great. The server was awesome and the wings were good. Then when we went to the bar the bartender was so rude. With just terrible comments. As someone who has worked in the restaurant as a bartender for over 10 years I understand that the job gets stressful, but that does not give you the right to be rude. We ask to speak to the manager. She tells us she is the manager. That's very sad not only was she a bartender but the manager and she could not handle the situations at hand in a professional manner. Everybody else that worked there was so friendly. So I just don't understand what the owner was thinking when hiring this woman as a bartender. So if you are looking for somewhere to sit at a bar. Stopped here for supper on a Saturday night. They weren't able to get us a table right away for our group of 9, but there was enough room at the bar for all.of.US together. Despite this- the service was great! Got our drinks right away and were attentive to refills. We were able to order right away and delays were explained. I have to say I was pretty disappointed with this place. They have a ton of TV's, but refused to put sound on any of them. Instead they played music. The food was very poor as well. We ordered 2 appetizers (jalepeno poppers and chips/salsa). The poppers tasted freezer burned and the salsa and cheese dip were both from a jar and a can. No pride at all in the food or the service. I was really disappointed with the service at Rounders tonight. After ordering Thai Chili flavored wings the server brought me an order of spicy garlic wings instead without consulting me about my order. She said that they were out of Thai chili and brought that instead. I asked if I could get an order of another flavor and asked for BBQ. She brought the wings out with the sauce on the side (cold). I explained the situation to another server and she was in agreement that my server had made a mistake. I then had to talk to the manager so i wouldn't have to pay for both orders of wings (neither of them of which I ate). The server said I needed to because otherwise the restaurant "would lose money" for her mistake. The server was rude after this experience and spoke to me with an attitude. The server's name was Mikaela and referred to herself as Mik for short. I hope the establishment will fix this problem. I visit rounders regularly but won't continue to do so if the terrible service continues. read more

Good food, decent service and fun atmosphere. However, it gets WAY too crowded at night. To the point where you can't take one step without bumping into someone. It's a great bar to party in but I wish the bouncers would be more aware of how many people they let in. As tough as it sounds there should be a cut off at some point because it's not fun when you can't even move. Bartenders do an excellent job keeping up with drinks. I've been there when its extremely busy and was still served in a timely manner. My wife and I recently went in and enjoyed dinner. I ordered the rounders burger with fries. My wife ordered a southwest chicken salad. The food was great. The only complaint is that my burger was a little greasy. Sammy was our server and she was very apologetic and asked if she could do anything to help.
