I can finally say this place is beeping beep beep. No matter what you need or when you need it (error on a machine, maximum payout, etc), you wait at least 20 minutes whether it's peak hours, literally empty (like today in the late afternoon), etc. Today, I surprisingly reached max payout for the Popeyes coin pusher and it legit took someone 20 minutes to just FREAKING SWIPE A CARD to let me have the tickets. I was contemplating whether or not to just play something. Then, when I was playing the Star Wars coin pusher, thank goodness, I was finished because the card wouldn't come out onto the platform. I was like forget it. Likewise, it's quite discouraging and quite true (as stated throughout Reddit) that they don't refresh or change out their plushies/prizes like other locations. Although, I did see them starting to clear out some machines today. Why do I come here, you ask? It's literally, to me, one of the largest locations in NorCal (sadly). So many ufos, cranes, coin pushers, etc! An arcade extravaganza! IF YOU ARE DISABLED DO NOT COME HERE DUE TO MALFUNCTIONING ELEVATORS! (March 2026)

All the urinals were out. The floor was absolutely disgusting. The toilets were all filthy. This is health code violation bad.

I assume this place is doing well because it's been around for a while. I was there early in the day the other day just wasting time for a bit before an appointment - there was no one in there - it's been a while since I was in this place so I just looked around. Games are crazy expensive. The ones I looked at were 2.50. 2.50? huh? Who pays that? I can't imagine paying that for the 2 minutes of game time you get for anything. I'm sure there were cheaper ones (there had to be) but maybe they just overcharge for everything to keep the place open. They're paying a lot of employees for sure. There were seven or eight people there while I was there, just walking around doing nothing. I came here years ago with an old company I was with and bowled - it was expensive back then, I don't know what people pay today but their bowling is for casual bowlers, not real bowling. But the main thing was the state of the bathroom. The state of the bathroom in any establishment tells you everything you need to know about a place. It was absolutely filthy - I mean health code violation filthy. It totally smelled of pee and literally none of the urinals were working and every sink was out but one. The floor was disgusting, the toilets were all dirty - I mean not one clean one. Absolutely disgusting. I can't imagine being the manager of an establishment the public frequents and thinking the state of this bathroom is remotely okay in any shape or form. I did take pictures so see my photos - wanted to make sure to provide a little proof for those who find disgusting bathrooms a reason to avoid a place. There were seven or eight employees just walking around doing literally nothing while I was there. Why not get in there clean up and fix that bathroom? It is absolutely unacceptable and I'm baffled that any respected establishment would allow their bathrooms to exist in that condition. Thing is they don't care. Any company that has a bathroom that disgusting literally couldn't care less. They'll read this review and shrug their shoulders "so what, people come here to play our great games, not go to the bathroom." I hope people reading this do.

Ice cream machine, will take your payment and dispense nothing. Staff and managers are rude and dismissive when you request help.

I URGE you, do NOT go to this round one. I have been to every location in northern CA, and this is by far the worst. The machines are all broken, or don't work. You will not win prizes here, so if that's what you're after, go elsewhere. That would be one thing, it's gambling and fun. But let me tell you, the customer service here is AWFUL. Pray you never have to ask a question or get help, just prepare to be treated like garbage from the first word. The example that lead to this review, is their dip n dots machine. This machine is covered in Round One logos, no third party stickers or anything. This is a round one machine. Well, if you make the mistake of trying to get an ice cream, prepare to lose your money and then be treated like shit for daring to ask for help. First, shout out to Tim. Team lead Tim, this man has been rude EVERY time I've come here. That's one thing, and I can let it go. But if you end up dealing with the "manager" Astrid. She will approach you like she is ready to fist fight you. I've never been approached with such hostility for asking a simple question. After fighting to talk to a different manager, being called a variety of terrible names, and degraded by this Astrid person. I had to request ANOTHER manager, as Astrid felt it was appropriate to treat a genuine question with such spite. All to be told, "tough luck! Call back and maybe we'll give you a refund, but also you'll need to call our general manager and they can MAYBE give you a number to call for a refund. Oh but also the general manager is only here between certain hours in certain days, so best of luck actually talking to them!" Absolute WORST customer service of my life. I left in tears. Thanks Round One, you ruined the first really good day I was having in a long time. (PS: Manager Marissa, you are the only one who was willing to speak with me kindly, and I am grateful for that. You may be the only employee there who deserves recognition, and to whomever is reading this, please, give your girl a raise.)

We came on a weekday so not that much people were around, which I prefer so you can take your time and less crowded. The staff are super nice when you need support. However, the staff is limited so it was hard to find someone when we needed help. When we did find them, they were super pleasant. I didn't get any drinks but would be down.

Getting my rock on with Guitar Hero.

Love the arcade. The staff is always nice and I'm always down for a game of Guitar Hero or the claw machines.

Two of these labeled as "Chomp" were charged as Gameplay in the same minute, but game failed to start.

Relative to other arcades, the games are very expensive. If you have the luck to play something that isn't broken here, you should go buy a lottery ticket. The customer service won't credit you back for malfunctioning machines, they make you wait for a staff to walk you to the machine and swipe their store card to give you credit. It takes extra time out of YOUR day, and they make it feel like you're being an inconvenience to them while doing it. Today I had 3 separate games that were malfunctioning - Iceman, Pac-Man, and Basketball. 1) Iceman: The water cannon wouldn't track on the screen to aim at the zombies. 2) Pac-Man: When starting a new game it would occasionally ask you swipe again because of error, but it would deduct credits even though it wasn't starting during one of those swipes. 3) Basketball: Swipe card, credits on screen, start button didn't work. I no longer have the patience to deal with the staff here because it's multiple machines EVERY TIME I've come here. The place has a lot of potential but it's completely mis managed and a money pit for the consumer.

I don't like arcade games, just feels like a casino for kids. But can't beat that 99 cent scoop ice cream deal! Ice cream quality was just okay. Selection limited. I'll be back!

surely the best spot inside the Sunvalley Mall: the Round1 Arcade. located at the first floor, you will find arcade games, bowling and food / drinks. you need to get your arcade card and reload it to use for the games in the arcade. games are for fun, or some are for points. you can redeem points in the arcade store, with many prizes and valuables weekends are very busy, ambiance is live, and they are open late nights, so you can hit Round1 at any time. i won a teddy friend here

Round1 Bowling & Arcade - Concord Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Round1 Bowling & Arcade - Concord

Can you use your Digital Club Card from a diferent Round1 here? I usually visit the Hayward Round1, but may be in Concord this weekend and wanted to see if I can use my points/tickets here.

You can use the app to check in, but you'll need to have a card with no stripe on the bottom to use the games. You'll need to pay the activation fee for the card.

Do you have skee ball?

Yes.

Does this location have the rhythm game, Taiko no Tatsujin?

As of 11/2/2021, no.

Are you wizard of oz machines still working ? I still have cards before COVID hit. Can I still redeem it?

Yes.

Hey I just wanted to ask does this place have gender neutral/family bathrooms?

Yeah. There is a single-user unisex restroom.

Every time I try to get a bowling tune in the afternoon on weekends I come 2 hours before I wanna play but then it's always packed all day and they don't take reservations. Any tips?

Go somewhere else

Did this Round1 get the Marble Carnival game that pushes marbles?

Yes they do 9 credits for one play

Services offered...Can you drill a bowling ball? Price? Turnaround time?

Hi Amber! We don't offer ball drilling services.

Is there a visible sign stating that no outside food is permitted?

Yes or sort of, you can read it on one of the pictures of the house rules there.

Do you guys at Round 1 plan on adding the Japanese rhythm game Jubeat any time soon?

Jubeat doesn't have proper licensing for the United States, so if they installed it it would be on knit. The closest arcade to here with jubeat is in Los Angeles, at the Puente Hills Mall Round 1.

How do the karaoke rooms work? Do you have to reserve them?

Hello Ney, The karaoke rooms are sold in a first come first serve manner. Customers are charged…

Just wondering if the karaoke has some Korean/K-pop song choices? Or is it just limited to American music? Thanks!

Its almost all K-pop/Korean. Round 1 is a Japanese arcade center so it has a lot of Kpop & J-pop seeing. A lot of the games are only in Japanese too.

My dad found this place while searching for something else and what a find this was. I haven't…read moreplayed pinball for years and the last time I was around a pinball game I just watched. So I can't remember the last time I had my hands on a pinball machine. Located in an industrial area, down the Street from Costco and less then a mile from park and shop. It's really just around the corner from Costco. You can easily walk here from Costco while you family shops you can be having so much more fun and not rush them. There was plenty of free parking right out front. The front is liked with live plants that mesmerized my mom. She loves plants. Soon as you walk inside you enter a framing shop. This is in the back rooms of a framing shop. It all started with the owner and his love of pinball machines and his love of sharing his hobby with others. And we are so thankful that he has shared. What a fun time and bring lots of quarters if you have them. We should have brought more from our coin jar. My dad had them all pulled out, then mom said we didn't need that many, we really needed that many. They also have a change machine. If you put $20 in you get $20 of quarters. It doesn't give change back if you only want a portions of quarters. We only spent around an hour there, but I could have stayed longer. I was having so much fun, but we ran out of quarters. Too bad, there were so many games to play. The front room were the oldest games and gave you the most plays for your 50 cents. I believe all those games gave you 5 balls. For beginners like us we need all the balls we could get. The cost of the machines are not on the coin slots it's on the bottom left corner of the pinball machine. These machines take quarters only, no game card that you have to refill with money. I really dislike those cards as if you put too much on there is no getting your money back. So yea! For the use of quarters. I love this feature of The Flipper Room. They have my vote. Other pinball places also have a feature that I'm not sure about, they have it where they charge you by the hours. There is one in Reno like this and Downtown Sacramento. Those have those pluses too, but I really am a fan of the quarters. We have so many saved up in our piggy banks so it's like it's' free to play as we aren't going to the ATM, it's just free change. I had fun playing the pinball machines and also playing the PAC-Man Game. It was just a regular arcade game that cost 25 cents. It was. A mini game that they t up on a riser so you didn't have to bend down. I have fond memories of PAC-Man. We used to have a mini handheld version that was lots of fun. My mom is one of those annoying players that keeps hitting the flippers when the ball is no where near the flippers. We tried to explain to her that's not how to operate the pin ball machine, but she got really mad at us. We're sorry Flipper owner. We tried. I highly suggest you check this place out. Even if you aren't in the area it's worth the trip. They have both new and old school machines. There are 3 rooms of machines so if you bring a group you won't be cramped. Come play and have fun!!!

Well... there's a spot in Concord where you can bring your old date(s) to relive those good old arcade memories! The vibe gets even better when you notice their amazing wall art and posters -- many designed and drawn by super talented artists. They got an art gallery aesthetic going on, with cool prints, rock-style posters, and fun retro illustrations hanging on the walls. Super cool! And the BEST part? Spacer the shop cat! ‍ He's the absolute star here -- he has his own poster and even a custom-made pinball cat bed. Ah-mazing! He lounges around supervising, making sure that everyone is having a good time!! lol Whether you're into art, framing, pinball, or just want a quirky, nostalgic place to explore, The Flipper Room is Highly Recommended and a Must-Visit spot!

This is my second time at this location. First time was a date and this time for a kids birthday…read more Right off the bat I can say this is a much smaller location than others I've been too. I honestly don't know how to compare it in terms of food quality because this might have been the first time I actually ate something here and drank as much as I did ( responsiblly obviously) Parking sucked at the time we arrived but theres a big parking lot out front. Entering the building there's a front desk to the right, game card kiosk to the left, sports bar right in front and yonder is all the glits and glimmer. Today was chosen because its unlimited and half or something but no one and I mean NO ONE in the party paid any attention to details. We all had different pieces to the puzzle. For example my niece was getting frustrated because her game card wasn't working... turns out unlimited has a 30 second wait between games. Also my bro-in-law was getting frustrated because he couldn't get his bonus tickets, also turns out unlimited caps at 1500. Not the fault of DNB but definitely could use a much larger PSA incase they get family like mine. The Caveman Combo I ordered was almost perfect... them 5 Itty bitty riblets were damn near beef jerky strips. The fries were fire though. I hate fries, of any kind and any where but these were lit. The sliders were OK, not amazing but did the job. Out of the 5 drinks, my least favorites were the Mango Peach Bellini and the Strawberry Red Sangria. My favorites were the Island Punch and Pink 'Rita. The ok drink was the Tropical Mojito. I'll definitely come back, was a good time if not just because my Funcle doodies were godlike and I love my neice.
