When my fork proceeded past the delicate breading on my huge piece of cod (only $20!!), some of the delicious, white fish dropped to the bottom of my bowl where only onion rings resided. Jammed in tight next to an onion ring. I risked it all, bravely hooked the onion ring and the cod chunk (together!) on my fork, dipped it all in tartar sauce (you get 2), and ate it. What was the result? It was delicious so I did it again! I am thinking of getting French fries next time and deliberately hooking a fry and the cod together and dipping it in tartar sauce. Typically the bar isn't open on Thursdays, she had come in to accommodate some long distance travelers that were in town, that's great small town service. Just to be clear, this place is not fancy, it is a classic old time small town bar ambiance, BUT it offers friendly service and a great burger and onion rings, all at a fair price. It doesn't hurt that the bottles of beer are ice cold. If you are in Phillip's, you should stop.
