We have always enjoyed Mary's Pizza Shack in the past and wanted to try their lunch. When we arrived, we were greeted, but it did take a while for someone to seat us. Once we were seated, we decided to check out their lunch menu. Our server, Alexis, was very nice and helpful. My husband decided to have Dan's Caprese Sandwich, and I chose a slice of pizza (three toppings were pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives) with a salad. While we waited for our food, we noticed all the employees were busy at work, but also taking time to greet customers and get to know everyone. My pizza and salad came, yet my husband's food was not done. I shared my salad with him and then waited for his food. Our server did come over and apologize for the delay in his food and explained the situation. Once his sandwich came out, we were ready to eat. He loved his sandwich and said he thinks a burger would go great with similar items. My pizza was good and filling. Alexis was so pleasant and nice to talk to, the restaurant was clean, and the food was good. We will definitely continue to go to this location.

I ordered this sandwich weeks ago and it was delicious. Today, the sandwich was terrible, here's why. Instead of using pesto aïoli on one side of the focaccia bread, the chef substituted extra white mayonnaise with garlic in it on both sides of the bread. The chef omitted the delicious balsamic glaze, it simply was not present. The chef used basil leaves that were days old, the little tomato was placed between two huge slices of mozzarella. Another small tomato placed under the other huge slice of cheese. I want to say, I noticed one manager type woman with glasses trying to handle & seat the incoming parties, she took my order immediately at the register, I waited 16 minutes for a sandwich that was prepared just however, with key ingredients left out, the customer was not even asked if they minded, customer was left to find out later at home, terrible service, shame on you Vacaville Mary's Pizza Shack. Not fair to give the consumer a delicious sandwich weeks ago, and then switch it up weeks later when a different person makes it , and no manager is in control of the food prep and quality. Then leaving ingredients off without any communication to the customer who wanted this delicious sandwich that you and your staff completed messed up!

Someone recommended Pietro's to me not realizing that they have two different locations i went to 2 first. I was not impressed with the pizza. not bad just not my taste. this past Saturday I was talking with friends asking the question which do you prefer 1 or 2. It was about 50/50. So, I decided to try 1, realizing it is a different restaurant after having conversation. Well, the PIZZA was GREAT. I had made some request... lite sauce and for them not to cut it. (not cutting it helps the crust not to get soggy, which is great when you reheat) The flavor from the ingredients and the crust was on point. Thanks for the Pizza and accommodating my request. This will definitely be my go-to for pizza in Vacaville. I don't have a picture, ate it to quickly sharing it with my 96 yr. old landlady, before I realized I wanted to write a review. so next time. I suggest you give them a try and the no cut thing also.

The inside has a nice chill vibe and there were a few TVs playing one of the college Bowl games. Latausha was our server and she was very courteous and friendly. We started off with some focaccia bread which had nice flavor, but I was expecting the bread to be warm and it was cold. My wife thought the parmesan cheese was a little salty. We ordered the calamari strips to start off... they were fried perfect and coated with a nice panto crust. The zing from the lemon juice kicked it up a notch. I went with the steak sandwich... the steak and juicy and tender; which the bread was nicely toasted and had a nice garlic flavor. The fries were delicious and some of the best I've had in quite some time. Wifey went with the half spaghetti half ravioli plate which she loved. The portion was so much she ended up taking hers home. This was only my second time eating at Pietro's which is wild for as many years as I've lived in Vacaville. But I can promise I'll be making more trips when I can.

So we would go to the location by the stadium before the Giants game and grab a small pizza and then walk into the stadium to eat while watching the hated Giants. Those were the days. Flash forward to today and that location no longer exists but they did open this location in Vacaville located in the Nut Tree shopping center. They are still serving up incredible NYC-Style pizza but they have added Detroit-Style pizza to their menu as well. Let me tell you about my latest visit. Like I mentioned earlier they are located in the Nut Tree parking lot in Vacaville so parking is quite plentiful. When we arrived,it was early so was pretty empty so I chose a seat by the pizza chef-I am entertained by watching the pizza chef cook up his masterpieces. After taking a quick look at the menu, we decided to go with a few items. 10 x 14 Firehouse Special Detroit Style Pizza ($32.75) Flame-Roasted Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings ($9.75) Full Caesar Salad $(15.75) 2 Large Diet Coke($7.50) It was way too much food for 2 people- but what can I say-I like what I like when I come to Amici's. Their food is too good to not try as much as possible. The pizza was so great Pepperoni, Bacon, Sautéed Jalapeños, Green Onions covered with a Ranch Drizzle....So very good 5/5 item The Lemon Peppers Wings have always been a favorite of mine-they toasted em in the pizza oven after marinating them for 24 hours in a lemon pepper sauce-pure perfection 5/5 item Caesar Salad-it's pretty good-my wife loves it but I'm not a massive fan of whole anchovies which this salad features. 4/5 item Overall I would say we had a wonderful visit and the Detroit-Style pizza they added to the menu is a bona fide hit!! I can't wait to get back to try more variations of their pizzas and of course to get more of those Lemon Peppers Wings!!

I will say this though, when my wife and I walked into this restaurant we already had the expectations that the food was going to be good. I said to my wife "With a last name like Napoli, how can you go wrong?" See this History is that I'm half Italian and that my Grandparents also had the last name of Napoli and so I knew this place was going to be great. So as we entered we were told to sit anywhere we like. After sitting down the waitress came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We both told her that while we will put in our orders for the drinks, we also would like some Garlic Cheese Bread to eat as an appetizer until we decide to order our entrees. After a few minutes the best bread and marinara sauce came to our table and let me tell you that the bite wasn't just delicious it became a memory taking me back to the times when I used to eat this type of delicious food at my Grandparents' house. I knew right then this was going to be the Italian place that we would continue to visit every time we came to Vacaville. We both ordered the Raviolis and while we ate our bread and the marinara sauce, another order of bread came out but this time it was with our entrees. As we continue to enjoy the food, a few minutes later the waitress came with our entrees. Let me tell you, the only thing that lacked on this entree was more Marinara sauce but from the bite of the garlic cheese bread, to a bite of the raviolis everything was delicious. So grateful that we found an opportunity to find an authentic Italian restaurant. Can't wait to return and have the regular Spaghetti noodles or the Penne. Thanks Napoli Pizzeria for making this guys experience not only great but you helped bring back beautiful memories as I enjoyed the food that I grew up with.

Damn it was delicious! We got all four pizzas they were offering - pepperoni, 4 cheese balsamic, orchard harvest, and a pesto one. All of the pizzas were good, but the 4 cheese balsamic and harvest orchard were crazy good. I especially love that the crust was crispy, but not at all burnt - a problem I often see with pizza trucks/carts. Service was also great. They accidentally gave us a wrong pizza, and told us to keep it while they made us the correct one for free. 4 people, and we ate all 5 pies without a problem. I only wish they had a regular storefront so I could know how to get my fix whenever I'm in the area.
