this round table has great service the people that work here are very kind and the pizzas are very yummy

This location has a habit of hiring young high schoolers or fresh out of high schoolers who have no idea what they're doing and they have no one there to manage them. So many mistakes every single time! This time we ordered a pizza for delivery we were quoted 45 minutes. After an hour we called they said it was already on the way. We wait some more and call again. They said it just left. Here we are still waiting 2 hours later. We live 10 minutes from this place. There's no reason our pizza should not have arrived within an hour. We are literally trying to call them multiple times and they are now not picking up the phone at all. Where is our pizza? This is ridiculous. Round table you need to get your management to be more present this place should not be run by 16-18 year olds. It's unacceptable. And they are always out of something. Get your inventory under control. The pizza is already overpriced and then the bad service just makes it even more overpriced. read more

Second time ordering here in 6 months and won't order again! On hold for over 10 minutes at 4:15 in the afternoon, ordered 1 large 2 topping pizza. Told to allow 30-35 min. Arrived on time only to see employees entering without masks, several people waiting for orders and it seemed that they went in the back and made my pizza as I waited (this is the second time they forgot they to actually make the pizza I had called in ahead of time for) The pizza arrived an hour later. Awful, I might add. Not sure why I gave them another chance, try Cap's for pizza. Hands down the BEST Italian pizza in the area, worth the drive & they do take out. So we decided to give this place another shot, since last time the pizza was good, the service was just horrible. Maybe it was a busy night, but not only did it take 1.5hrs to get delivered, the pizza sucked. We ordered 2 large, and with both of them, every single slice was mostly just bread. The pesto pizza barely had any pesto, and the cheese was not cooked all the way. The crust was hard, along with the pineapple on top. Needless to say, if we weren't starving, we wouldn't of eatin it! I would not support this business, I'm a big Round Table fan but this location is terrible, their pizza is not up to RT standards and they price gouge. I guess they figure since the competition is limited in Discovery Bay, that people will still go there. I would recommend Mountain Mike's in Discovery Bay, pizza is better and much better customer service. This is my local round table, and I LOVE THE GARLIC TWIST. Went in on the fourth and it was only one worker there, and she was so frustrated, but still courteous to all customers. I was a bit frustrated myself because I ordered almost 30 mins before I got close to DB; So to walk in and have to wait another 30 mins for a personal pizza... I was everything except calm. Still I really couldn't even be frustrated with the worker because I heard her venting to a worker who'd just walked in that she'd been calling and calling the manager with no success. Who does that? Manager YOU seriously can take a couple notes from that worker. Don't leave your workers hanging you ASSHAT. Will still order, but I'll just stick to delivery. read more

This is the absolutely worst place. I ordered online with an expected pickup time of 7:26pm. At 7:29pm I entered the restaurant only to be told it would be another 15 minutes. My wife and I used to eat at Round Table quite a bit when we lived in Livermore, and when we moved to Discovery Bay, we ate at the Round Table store which was located on Brentwood Blvd. When that store closed, we tried Aladino's pizza on someone's recommendation and immediately fell in-love with it and haven't looked back. Yesterday, we were in the mood for pizza and we thought we'd give the new Round Table in the Discovery Bay Safeway shopping center a shot since it was close. It's a hop, skip and a jump from McDonald's on Hwy 4. I decided I'd call-in our order and pick the pizza up since my wife didn't feel like going OUT for dinner. I called this store at 5:25 pm and was put on hold for eight minutes - It was 5:33 pm when an employee came back on the phone and asked if she could take my order. My initial thought was that she must be the ONLY employee in the store and that's why I was kept waiting on the phone for so long. Anyway, I ordered the King Arthur Supreme and was told that it would be ready in about 15-minutes. I arrived about 15-mintues later and the pizza was, in-fact ready, as promised. I also noticed that the store was very clean and that it had a nice atmosphere. Another thing I noticed, was that there were 4-5 employees who just seemed to be hanging-out behind the counter and it caused me to wonder WHY I was kept on-hold for 8-long minutes, but didn't say a thing. I presented my credit card to pay for the order and the cashier stated, "I'm afraid that I'm going to need to see a photo ID." WHAT!? And the gentleman behind me also voiced a "WHAT!?" as well. I don't recall a time that I've EVER had to present a photo ID when purchasing food before! I've never had my integrity challenged at Aladino's; it was never challenged at the (former) Round Table on Brentwood Blvd; it's never been challenged in ANY restaurant in Brentwood, Antioch, Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, Hayward or San Leandro. Funny.... I can shop at target and spend $150, pay by credit card and not have my integrity challenged. I can spend in the neighborhood of $100 at Black Angus and not have my integrity challenged. A few weeks ago, I purchased some clothes at Macy's to the tune of $220 and didn't have my integrity challenged. Just prior to this past Mother's Day, I took my wife and some friends to an upscale Brazilian restaurant in San Jose on Santana Row called "Fogo de Chao." My bill came to a little over $350 not including the tip, and was my integrity ever challenged? NO! But I go to a very small Round Table store, order one pizza for under $25, and all of the sudden my integrity comes into question when paying by credit card. Getting back to the pizza...it was just OK. It did have way too much sauce on it and there seemed to be "something" missing, flavor-wise, but my wife and I can't put our fingers on what exactly was missing. For the large pizza and with the tax it came to $23 and a few cents. I might add also that though the toppings were obviously fresh, there weren't too many of them, unlike Aladino's and other pizza stores. The next time we're in the mood for pizza, we're going back to Aladino's, as Round Table on Hwy 4 has certainly NOT earned my repeat business. read more

Went there after the parade in DB.Saturday 12/6/14 One medium pizza,one pitcher of beer, artesian flatbread,(small) and salad bar for three.$21.00 for the salads alone.all this for the small fee of $70.00. Not sure if the other reviews were based on the fact that these guys were slammed during opening week, but we had pizza delivered last night and it was fantastic. The garlic breadsticks were a hit with the kids, and the supreme pizza had PLENTY of toppings. The delivery girl was fast and very friendly. We'll be ordering from here again. read more

Placed an order on Christmas Eve at 5:30 PM to be delivered by 6:37. At 7:05 we still hadn't received our order so I called several times only to be interrupted with "we are closed" and hung up on by a male employee. On my last attempt to call, a girl answered and said the same thing. I was able to interrupt her before she hung up on my to tell her I never received my order. After taking my address, she told me that they had run out of XL pizzas and now were closed. I told her I had ordered 1.5 hrs earlier and asked why I wasn't contacted so I could order a different size. She said she didn't know until after they closed and was just getting ready to call me and also informed me that the driver was out with my breadsticks though. Unsurprisingly, the breadsticks never arrived. This treatment and lack of service was completely unacceptable. Why even have a business if this is how you conduct "business" with your customers?!?!? Called at 811pm asked where my pizza was got a story about problem with one of the deliveries before me and was 2 stops away. 842pm rolls around and same person answers phone and says the pizza is done but has not gone out yet liars!!! I've always liked Round Table pizza. .I was skeptical on picking one up here from all the bad reviews, but it was closer and..had to give it a shot. I ordered over the phone, they picked up right away, had to have the gal repeat a few times but when I met her, I got it..to much jewelry in her mouth..but we made it thru. Pizza was ready in time given, 20 mins. Price was crazy high.. $19 for a med pepperoni, reason for loss of one star. Pizza was really good, like the Round Tables I grew up on. Boi the pizza is so overpriced. I got a personal create your own which was four small slices and it cost $10, with tax and a tip more like $15. I definitely was still hungry but I couldn't afford anything more than that. Also, the manager Kim stood in front of me silently counting money when I walked in to pick up my pizza. I walked up to her at the register and stood for probably 4 minutes before she looked up and asked if I wanted to order. I told her my pickup order and she proceeded to question if my name was real or not which made me feel insecure. For service and prices like this, YOU WOULD EXPECT THERE TO BE AT LEAST ONE ROUND TABLE IN THERE!! Unfortunately, there is not a single one, so don't bother going there if you wanted a round table to sit at. Reviews talk about how they are short staffed and it is because the manager does not treat the employees with respect or kindness. Got here 20 minutes ago and ordered the lunch buffet. Asked if more pizza was coming out because there was only one slice under the warmer. I was told yes. Ive finished my salad and theres still no pizza in sight. Frustrating since im hungry and would really like some pizza. Wish the employee could have been honest that there was no pizza in the oven because i would have gone next door for a sandwich instead. Ok....im writing as im waiting and ONE pizza just came out and its the one requested by the people that were in line behind me. Its gone already with the number of people here. $13 and i got ONE slice of pizza and salad. Need to keep it stocked with variety so people dont have to wait or skimp when you're paying buffet prices. Feeling so annoyed. I want more food but lord knows how long the next pizza might take . The last 2 times we have ordered from this location the pizza has been terrible. We ordered original crust and the crust was so thin it broke apart like a cracker. Furthermore the pizza had almost zero sauce on it. Ick. So glad we have a Mountain Mikes in DB now. read more

I'm giving them 5 stars for the Manager - I don't know her name, but if you are a regular here you've talked with her. She is so sweet and calls people honey and baby. Place is a complete joke. Way understaffed, food was horrible! Serious concern of health risk since everything is so mismanaged. Chicken was served at room temperature and that is never a good thing. Chicken left at room temperature for so long runs the risk of massive bacteria spread. No sense in complaining to the manager since it would only add the the monotony that was already going on. I live in DB and have gotten pizza from here many times over the years. Its hit and miss. I never had problems with the delivery service and when I order for pick up Its usually ready in the time frame they give. The hit n miss part is sometimes the pizza is not cooked very well. The cheese is not melted all the way and crust is doughy. I usually stay away for a few months when that happens. read more

Usually I stay away from round tables in general I have had several horrible experiences. However, this particular round table has yet to disappoint when we order from them. The staff esp the manager and Ms. Kim are always extremely polite and courteous whether on the phone or ordering in.
