Who would have thought the first time I would try Round Table would be in Discovery Bay. Eclectic dining options are limited in the area and feels like unless you're cooking you may end up eating at a chain or heading to Brentwood about 10-15 min drive away. It was super easy to order through their website and using the free Do$h app got that cash back. Parking is easy in this plaza and when I showed up at the designated time my order was ready. The personal pan was the perfect size for me and I loved the Maui Zaui with ham. Super tasty in the pan format. I also order the "famous" cinnamon twists but they were on the dry side for me. Still ate them tho. Definitely falls in the higher end for me when it comes to large scale chains which for me is Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, and Caesars. I have ordered from this store multiple times and they have always been great, but last time was a disaster. I ordered 1 large combination, 1 large Maui zaui and a small cheese. The cheese pizza was dry and burnt all around the edges. The kids were only able to eat the center. The only topping was cheese but it wasn't even covering the dough. The Maui zaui again was dry and didn't even have pineapple on it. Pineapple is one of the main toppings, how do you not put it on the pizza. The combination was again made dry and their were so few toppings that you had to try to get something with every bite. This was a carry out order and I didn't discover all this until I was already home to waiting family. I called and told them about how displeased I was with the lack of quality. They told me I could have $5 off my next order. I am DEFINITELY not going back. I will drive extra far to the next store. I can't believe how far down this locations quality has fallen. I will never order from this location ever again. I'm not someone who has ever given a bad review and I don't judge a place on a singular poor encounter. I love Roundtable, I am a faithful, Roundtable customer, in every city I've ever lived in, but this location is a shit show. These poor teenagers are all over the place. Nobody knows what they're doing. They take forever. Shitty customer service. They seriously need some management that is not a high score. Employ high schoolers, so I have nothing against them but you need to teach these kids how to do their job in order to run a business successfully. Placed an order online for delivery at 630 pm after an hour of not receiving my order that I had requested for delivery I called and inquired about my order. They advised me at the time that my order had been ready and was ready for pick up. I then advised them that I had requested online that it be delivered and the gentleman on the phone stated he would be sending to me immediately. Round Table in Discovery Bay hasn't been what it used to. My last few orders have been horrible. My pepperoni pizza order was a re-heated pizza, and I would know because of worked at a round table before. I also ordered a large combination and they cut it the slices into 16 thin slices. The twist were over cooked which was the cherry on the top. Also, when i I call an order in a they give 25-30 minute notice, I arrive within that time and still have to wait 10-15 minutes. I wanted to try the Apollo pizza being advertised because I enjoy feta and kalamata olives. My order was a timed order placed at 6 pm to be picked up at 7:15 allowing plenty of time for the order to be made during dinner hours. The photos contain my order and the proper Apollo pizza. My order was missing feta, Parmesan, kalamata olives, and had Polynesian sauce instead of garlic olive oil. Unfortunately I only had 30 mins for lunch so I couldn't wait for a remake but the employees helped to fix the situation the best they could. An hour later I called and was put on hold and I waited about 7 minutes thinking they maybe busy. I get there and 3 teens are hanging out in the back clowning around with no one in line and a few customers in the place. I asked about my order to be told that they no longer deliver pizza as of last month. Why would the online system let you order if they don't deliver. So, I asked for a manager and the teens were laughing and told me the managers always call out and the next day a manager would be available would be this Wednesday, March 20, 2024. So, I requested my $65 back for this expensive pizza. If I could give a negative rating I would have. Worst experience ever. Done with this place. read more

I have been in this Round Table Pizza Restaurant a couple of times in my travels going through Discovery Bay. Each time I have found the staff to be friendly and courteous and the restaurant to be very clean. Have a good lunch lunch buffet including salad. Every time I've gotten a I've been very pleased with it. Today I ordered a double pepperoni pizza on original crust and it came with peppers and sprinkle cheese and plenty of napkins on my trip to go. You can tell these people really enjoy what they're doing and take pride in the restaurant. If you're heading down Highway 4 going to Discovery Bay this is a must stop if you're into having a nice delicious pizza. The salad bar is loaded with many many fresh ingredients. The lettuce is crisp and fresh and the condiments are plentiful. Great job Round Table. I am pleased ! read more

Did an online order of 2 large pizzas online for pickup, and said order would be done 6:30. I figured online times aren't always accurate and that's understandable, but the pizza wasn't done until almost 8. There was a ton of people standing around waiting for their food having the same issue. Every time someone called they put them on hold and that whole time I was waiting I never once saw them get back to those people on the phone. To be fair - this is not completely the employees fault, this place looks extremely understaffed. The manager was just yelling at the poor girl upfront to handle all the angry customers upfront alone. The cashier was just trying to help figure out when customers food would be done and she kept yelling at her to stay in the front. I saw another employee walk in that seemed to be just starting her shift and she was already getting yelled at. Maybe this place would be better if there was better support by management, customers see how you treat employees too. I don't recommend coming here unfortunately unless you want your food to take forever and to see employees being treated unfairly. This location is a complete joke. I feel sorry for the employees here. The owner of this location is not only rude and disrespectful to her employees, she's awful to the customers. My husband went to pick up the pizza I called in for us. He stood at the counter while the owner reprimanded and ragged at a group of young employees. After ignoring him for a few minutes, my husband asked if there was a pick up order ready. The owner answered, "Yeah. Several. You're going to have to wait until SHE gets off the phone." People are so quick to complain about slow service without understanding the full picture of what's going on behind the scenes.
