I needed some stuff in a pinch and came across Urge Palette. There are few other places to compare in the area, and their online photos made the place look resourceful. Took a small drive over and I'm glad I did. Elijah was manning the fort that day. He was not only a pleasant dude, but he obviously has experience with various media, and was helping me sort out a project I'm experimenting with. Not just knowledgeable though; he was very clear with his suggestions. With price gouging being a thing nowadays, I was actually surprised I walked out of there with some high quality art paper and some chemicals for just $20. And I saw they had some nice notebooks priced really well. I'll be prioritizing this place for similar purchases while I continue to attend CSUSB.

I follow on IG mentioned Craft Collective as being a new business that was supporting local artists, and I had to find a way to make a visit. Located in Ontario, it's right around the corner of Logan's Candies, and down the street from Unique Cafe and Newsboy Books. I was able to do street parking without too much issue, but I also visited on a weekday (Friday) versus a weekend. But it seems like there should be enough parking even on a weekend! There are still some displays being setup (I walked in when they were building a paper mache piece in one of their windows), but there is a LOT to see when you come by. There are various artists on display now, and more to come! I loved seeing all of the amazing colors and the creativity of folks, and I loved seeing some of the artists that I already follow (including @supercoolspyclub). After making a visit here, there were definitely more artists that I now had to follow on IG! You WILL find something for everyone at this shop. Between the stickers, keychains, art prints, small art pieces, large art pieces, onesies, t-shirts, etc., there are gift options everywhere. Highly, highly recommend to make a visit, as what I took pictures of today may not be available months from now. I was also able to meet the owners Eva and Jonas! Lovely couple, and we were able to chat about the artists and the joy of art. I can see its future as being a gallery/store, and it's such a nice space to really display art, or do workshops (took a picture of their t-shirt printer!). Prices are variable depending on the artist! Keep in mind that all work take time and effort, but some take a looooot of hours, and the prices should reflect that amount of time. Definitely will want to come back!

I can't believe I passed by this place so many times without going in! There's all sorts of prints and handmade pieces and just really cute designs. Worst thing I can say about this place is that they're probably about to start getting a huge chunk of my paycheck going forward. If you like browsing Etsy or you're the type of person who goes to conventions just for the booths that sell in the exhibition hall, you will absolutely LOVE this place.

As I was waiting for someone, I was looking through a bin full of clearance fabric that was sitting next to the cutting table. It was maybe a minute when I realized she had shown up and I turned around and said "hi" and she blurts out at me "how much". I was taken back by her attitude and said hello to her again and asked how she was. In return I get "good, how much". It was just rude. Who hired her? Bad choice. Whatever is going on with this girl, she's on stage and should demonstrate a kinder customer service. I'll take my money elsewhere if I ever have to encounter her again.

I live by LAX and the ceramic studio that I belong to doesn't do Raku firings. HOWEVER, last year…read moreand this year we were able to come here to experience the art of Raku. It was like an educational hands on field trip for us. Also a fun way to be more creative and collaborative with another ceramic studio. I had a fantastic experience last year and when I found out that we were going to be able to return this year, I jumped on the opportunity! They provide the glazes, the brushes and their expertise. There were several people helping us during this event. Every single staff member was an expert in Raku. They knew so much about their glazes and combinations, the entire firing operation, reduction and post firing procedures. There's a lot of down time while waiting for the kiln to reach its optimum temperature. We got to ask the staff all kinds of questions. They were eager to interact with us: warm and inviting, full of great advice and really knowledgeable ceramicists. Such great team work!They don't talk down to anyone, even praised some of our potter's art work. I loved hearing people share how they made their pieces, and I was proud to share my own story about the construction of my "bird bath" - as one of my fellow ceramicist called it. The participation between the two studios was phenomenal! Thank you Dave, Erik, Oscar, Mary, Darrell and Elise. Sorry that Scott wasn't with us today. You guys are fantastic!!! By the way, thanks to you, Dave and Erik, I absolutely love the way my pieces came out! Your patience and advice made my day. It's a whole Home Decor store, with really reasonable prices. My $11.99 shopping trip, turned into a $51.00 shopping trip. I only went for fabric glue, but noticed they had so much more to offer and was in awe. I was happy to see they offered more, but not happy, because I knew it would no longer be a shopping trip, just for glue, and thats exactly what happened. Wall art, dishes, figurines, bathroom accessories.....just full on home decor that was very catching to my eye. Glad I needed that fabric glue, because I probably still to this day, wouldn't have went into Hobby Lobby.

This location is organized, clean, well stocked, and massive. In every other aisle, I saw a friendly, knowledgeable employee reorganizing or restocking. Unfortunately, like all other stores, they lack open registers and the line to pay is a lengthy wait...that would be the only con. Prices range from moderate to high. Restrooms are available.
