Let me first say that the repair job was good. My issue is the billing. When I called about a…read moreleaking pipe I was told that I needed to make a $200 deposit by credit card and that this amount would be applied to the bill. No problem, my repair was fairly simple and ultimately accomplished in less than an hour. I called the company to find out what my bill was and an invoice for $454.25 was emailed to me. I was surprised to see that $363 of the bill was for labor. I called about this and was told by the manager, Tim Flores, that I was billed for two visits and that hourly labor time starts from when they leave the shop. The first visit, which I thought was for the repair, lasted about 5 minutes and I was told that they wanted to see what the repair would need even though I sent photos of the set up as requested. I was told they would return in am for repair. They did not return for several days due to "emergencies" but when they did, repair was made. I was not made aware that there would need to be 2 visits and not made aware that I would have to pay for 2 visits and that paid labor starts when they leave the shop. This was a rip off and I caution anyone to get all the details before you agree to the work. Ask the questions as they certainly did not offer this information.

That was frustrating because I would have preferred to know that before the appointment was scheduled so I could have planned accordingly. He also explained that the service had been delayed because he was still waiting on one of the parts and wanted to make sure it was a good quality part and not a cheap one, which I actually appreciated. The issue was the lack of communication leading up to the delay and the fact that one of the tasks could not be completed. During the visit, he called me over and asked technical questions about the plumbing setup that I could not reasonably answer. He then had me call the homeowner while she was at work and kept her on the phone to ask her those questions, which defeated the whole point of me being there for the appointment. The configuration was right there in front of him, so it felt unnecessary and unprofessional. We also agreed on a price beforehand, but the price changed after he arrived. When I questioned it, he said he had to charge what he did because my faucet was "high end." That did not make sense to me because the faucet was an under 200 dollar Home Depot faucet installed by a family member. The explanation felt off, and combined with everything else it did not inspire confidence. With the inability to complete one of the tasks, the shifting price, and the overall vibe of the interaction, I decided not to move forward. When I declined service, he muttered multiple comments under his breath to his partner while I was standing a few feet away, including unbelievable and similar remarks.
