All my pictures are of Lucille's Edible Garden, my favorite place at Tyler Arboretum. This year I…read moregot into gardening and when I first visited I was so amazed that this existed, so I began volunteering! I'm sharing more about my volunteer experience with this great organization because I think it's a less traditional experience you'd read about in a review. I'm always impressed by the staff who maintain Lucille's Edible Garden and they are very intentional about giving volunteers like me a good experience as much as they would want someone who pays for admission to enjoy their visit! After filling out an application and doing a quick orientation with the volunteer coordinator, I could sign up for 3 hour volunteer shifts immediately after that. I love that they try to diversify what they are growing to include produce you wouldn't necessarily find at any grocery store. For instance, red okra and purple bok choy! As an Asian American, I was also learning a lot about rare seeds of Asian vegetables I didn't know existed. Not only is it rewarding to help harvest food for the Media Food Bank and address food insecurity in the community, but I have met wonderful people through the experience. I have also learned a lot about the importance of pollinators, what's good/bad for growing in the garden, and really appreciated how Tyler has a community of volunteers who have been serving for years. It really attests to the kind of organization they have they we keep coming back and encouraging others to consider joining us too.

I have to say I was skeptical about going here but was well worth it! Its a bit of a drive but it…read moredid not disappoint. There are so many rhododendrons and there is a Sequoia tree! Plenty of places to snap some pics and wander the grounds. Lunch on the chairs of the fragrance garden is a good choice!

The entire facility is spotless and so well cared for, which gives us such peace of mind every day. One of the things that truly sets Lightbridge apart is how every teacher, not just the ones in our child's classroom, knows each student by name and takes the time to connect with them. It feels like one big family, and that level of care makes such a difference. A special shout-out to the Orange Giraffes room -- Ms. Alison, Ms. Dana, and Ms. Gina are absolutely wonderful! Their kindness, patience, and dedication shine through in everything they do. They've created such a loving, fun, and safe environment where the kids thrive. We are so grateful for the entire Lightbridge team and would highly recommend this school to any family looking for a nurturing, clean, and supportive daycare.

This facility does not have your child's safety in mind and administration takes zero…read moreaccountability! My child was bit a total of five times in one week (4 times in one day with a deep bite breaking skin and required 3+ weeks to heal and another bite 2 days later). The meeting with the owner included victim blaming and he was accusatory, and condescending. He recommended that OUR child move down a class with a smaller ratio since she hasn't met walking milestones even though cognitively she belonged in that class. He then said that "maybe she isn't ready for a group daycare setting" when she was the one that was bitten (see another Yelp reviewer who experienced the same). And finally, he said that maybe we should look at a nanny service since we were "looking to control the situation". We placed our daughter in this daycare to obtain social skills and be with peers. We care about our child's safety and advocated that something be done. Their response was that they meet state mandated ratios and that no further actions will be done. He then has the audacity to ask if we have degrees in child behavior or development and that this is normal child behavior. This is absolutely condescending to any parent's legitimate, justified feelings and concern for their child's wellbeing. We are empathetic to children learning and growing and that these things do happen, but it was the severity and frequency of these biting occurrences that worried us. He continued to gaslight us that we were overreacting and that this is normal child behavior. They were "implementing a behavior plan" but could not provide us any substantial, tangible plan that our daughter would not come back with another bite. In fact, he said it's bound to happen again. Very reassuring. If you value your child's safety and want a daycare that takes accountability, responsibility, and makes you feel welcome, you will not find it here.

Not a fan of this gymnastics gym. They do not seem to care about advancing gymnasts. My daughter…read moremissed the older group cutoff by one month and they were forcing her to stay in the "toddler" group when she is nearly 6 years old and has 3 years experience with multiple gyms. Their drills for "toddlers" are ridiculous, throwing a bean bag, walking across a mat, it's very childish and for babies. They have very young girls teaching the classes and they seem to just be focused on making a profit. When I inquired about moving my daughter up bc she was bored, they refused to even offer to test her and then ignored my email completely and rejected her entrance to the older team, when she can do multiple tricks and is close to completing a back hand-spring. She wasn't even allowed to do cart wheels in the "toddler" group. Everything is solely based on birthdate and not skill. We switched to Synergy and they immediately tested her and advanced her to the higher group. Synergy is much more professional and they are focused on training girls to become gymnasts and not making a profit.

High demand for classes, which is a tribute to patient, caring, fun teachers and classes!
