I have been at the pool the last 3 weekends (4 Xs total) this Summer and it is truly 5 stars! The check in is super easy. I paid $5 each time (a discount for C.Hill) residents as well as your guest. They do take cash or card which is convenient. The line is never long, really non existent most of the time. Parking is a breeze especially if you get there for open swim which begins at 12 noon. The majority of the lounge chairs are shaded and you don't have to worry about anyone taking/moving your belongings as you enjoy the water. The lazy river is extremely clean and well kept and the floaties are in abundance and FREE! Everyone is respectful in the pool! At any given time there can be newborn babies to the seniors and every age in between so being courteous is just as important as having fun! The music is great too! They play EVERYTHING including Spanish songs on Cedar Hill Tunes. There is one lazy river, one slide which is so much fun and never a long line, as well as a larger pool that is wheelchair assessable too. It was in this pool that my BF taught me to swim this Summer so the Cedar Hill Lagoon will forever be memorable to me! They also have about 7 cabanas that you can rent out for your private event. The bathrooms have great air flow and are pretty well kept with no trash on the ground an I definitely appreciated the cleanliness. They also have showers too. The lifeguards are also professional and they appear to have fun too. There is food available if you get hungry. A CH police officer does make his/her round at the pool too so it definitely makes you feel safe an at ease. I hope the Lagoon continues to be a fun, clean, memorable place for my future summers!

However the cost keeps going up, and the amenities keep going down. Now they charge $20 no matter the size of the cooler. You can't bring in your own float devices but at the same time, there's never enough tubes for the lazy river. This last visit, I want to say there were 10 and the life guard mentioned people taking them out the water to their tables & chairs. There were also lots of tubes deflated. The structure needs to be updated and walls are crumbling and falling apart. Seriously, this place needs a make over especially if we are closing the affordable community pools and pushing folks to these places.

Admittedly, the ticket buying process is a bit cumbersome on site. And parking is ridiculously inadequate. BUT, once you actually get inside, it's so much fun. I'm always able to snag a seat in an unreserved area to chill in the shade. And they also have lockers for your stuff for a small free. Some of the grown-ups swim attire on a recent visit was a little....questionable but nothing you wouldn't see at the beach on vacation. The best part? Dallas residents get discounted entry (as we should!). Highly recommend for keeping the kids busy over the summer (come early!)

So first of all, I love that there were no kids running around and it was a grown and sexy vibe, they had a DJ and they had different areas that were selling drinks and food I believe. So when I have seen commercials, I will admit that I thought that the lazy river was bigger and I thought there were more rides. The night I went, not all the rides were opened, I don't know if that's because it was a grown party or if they didn't have enough lifeguards. Regardless though, I had a great time, I hang out with my friends for about 2 hours. There was one point, where there was a big group between the wave runner and the lazy river that were having a dance party and doing line dances. I was able to get discounted tickets because we bought them early, so if I have the opportunity to do it again, I definitely would.

I don't think regular pricing reflects the experience, so we wait for deals and go in the off season, spring break in the summer is crazy packed unless you go right at open in a weekday, and even then lines get long before noon. I would never go on a weekend. It is also incredibly humid so bring tons of water, more than you would think. The rises are great, the staff is well trained and super sweet, and the side activities or entertainment they get occasionally is always a great addition. The crowding really does take away from the experience though.

We went ahead and got the pineapple passes, which include unlimited visits through the season, as well as bringing in a guest free each visit. The pass also included free unlimited soft drinks with each visit as well. We upgraded and got the cooler pass, which allows you to bring in a cooler or ice chest each visit where you can bring drinks and snacks that don't contain alcohol. The parking lot has ample spaces to park, and parking is always free. The park hours vary by the day of the week and month. The best bet is to go online and check out the park schedule for a more accurate listing. There are many slides and fun activities for the kids to do. The park is designed for small children, and all the slides end in a shallow end of water that is still intact with the slide. They have a lazy river and a wave pool that are all waist deep as well as 2 small kids play areas with small slides and water activities. There are many lifeguards present who do a great job in making sure everyone remains safe in a fun filled environment since safety should be everyone's concern. There are a couple of food vendors on site, and they have picnic grounds to sit back and relax while enjoying a day in the sun. The floats are always free to use, and there is an abundance of lawn chairs to sit back and recline to soak it all in. There are 2 more locations in Roanoke and Waco, and both are built similar but have different attractions. There are always specials and events going on, such as the 4th of July firework show and discounts throughout the week with certain promotions. This is the perfect family getaway with families who have small kids and are looking for a safe place to swim and beat the North Texas heat!

He loves waterparks more than anything in life, but we've already been to Great Wolf Lodge on multiple occasions, and we preferred to book with Bonvoy points over shelling out the cash for GWL. Plus, we didn't have a ton of waterpark time on the schedule - win, win, win. One thing that was frustrating is that there was zero record anywhere on the internet of the height requirement for the slides here. Well, internet, I'm here to save you with the answers. We have a son that was 43" as of this visit, and he would be crushed to get his hopes up about doing these slides, only to find out that he's not allowed to. There's one big water "castle" with 3 slides. Those requirements are 42". We actually came here a couple of years ago and he definitely did those slides then, and he was most certainly not 42" then. So I'm not sure if they just changed these or they just weren't enforcing the rules in 2023, but they definitely were measuring him on this visit. Then there's one bigger water slide that's stand alone. The requirements are that you have to be 48" to ride freely, but 42-47" is ok with a life jacket. And then the same restrictions apply to the zip line where you can jump in the water after hanging from several feet above the water. The annoying thing about this was that we were there early in the morning and were the only ones doing it. Yet the lifeguard literally measured my son each time he walked up, despite the fact that he was literally doing it over and over again with no one else around. Make it make sense. Overall, this is not the most amazing waterpark you'll find. But when you book with points, all you have to pay is the resort fee and for parking. It's pretty good bang for your buck when you think about it in those terms.
