This place doesn' t feel like a sketchy liquor store but a comfortable inviting place where you happen to buy liquor. Besides a cool ambiance and nice tasteful decor they have smiling friendly employees on the floor offering to help you out. They have all your latest and greatest alcoholic beverages needs at competitive prices. I was surprised to see their robust wine selection that can rival Total Wine & More. They have down to Earth information about the wine such its rating and origins for the "don't know jack about wine" folks like myself. I totally appreciate this.... I was able to get what I needed for a dinner gathering I was going...can't go empty handed and nothing says "thanks for the great dinner" like a bottle of vodka. Will be back for sure.... read more

Wow how rude. Older gentleman was far from helpful or friendly. I asked if they had a specific vodka and he said he never heard of it but did hear of the flavor in a rum. So I asked where might I find the flavor rum and his reply was " I don't' I said, if you do have it where would it be? He said "I don't know if we even have it." He wasn't about to walk from behind the counter to help a customer find it. So he said "I can see if it is in the database but that doesn't mean we have it" I told him don't bother to find out and help me locate it in the store. Then he said" if we have it it would be over there and then pointed to one side of the store. By that time, my friend found it and I said, "Here it is and you had it so you are lucky to even make the sale!" I saw an earlier review saying how rude they were and the store reply to the review was that they were under management three months ago. Does that mean new owners? Because if he was the owner, he will own the banknote for his loan when this store goes out of business. Hopefully sooner than later. read more

Go get overcharged at Total Wine if you're looking to get pampered and don't know what you want. Everyone else -- support your local businesses and stop being so stuck up. These dudes have got you covered. You aren't going to get wined and dined by the staff here, but they will get you in and out and with what you need with very little problems. Many of the local package stores are tiny, or very specialized in what they carry, however, Ros Bev (as we love to call it) typically has what you're looking for, and at a cost that's better than the smaller places in the vicinity. It's not the greatest location for access, if you're not on the right side of the road, but it's nothing a quick u-turn or go around can't handle. The only other comparable place would be in Alpharetta, but if you're looking for a close and easy location in Roswell, this is worth it. And trust me, I've tried stores in the four directions from here, and nothing is going to get you close to what you need. read more

Was offered a Knob Creek 18 bourbon (tough to find) by the clerk, only to have it taken back when he did a price check with his supervisor and was told it was "reserved for another". Great variety and friendly folks. I suspect that the older guy at the register was smirking last night as I bought $150 worth of beer and booze, because I did the same thing less than 24 hours earlier. I went in to buy the Capriccio sangria. When I asked if they were out of it, an older gentleman behind the counter proceeded to tell me, they weren't out of it bc they were never going to buy it bc of people like me. He stated that he was getting 10 calls a night asking about it and their marketing campaign sucked. He was extremely rude, abrasive, and raised his voice. I came into a liquor store to buy a bottle of something I enjoy. Regardless of the brand, I didn't do anything except try to buy something from your establishment. I was very nice and polite. I visited this store for the first time today. I read the reviews first. I'm an introvert so ... it was kind of amazing. No one bothered me. I don't mind when people ask to help me but sometimes it's good to hunt for yourself. I was after whiskey/bourbon. They have a large, varied selection. I keep a running list of ones I'm looking for. I selected three. The prices were right where they should've been according to my research (and I also discovered other stores were ripping me off). If this is your approach, it's a great store. The people are knowledgeable and for the most part friendly. I always feel strange because yes I'm asking for the latest or upcoming bourbon and some of their clerks almost roll their eyes before they point me to their suggestions. Now, when I ask about wine, I get an education from their clerks! They ask questions, listen to my replies and then provide me with minimum of three choices all at different price points. The wine selection here was great! We really liked how things were organized, a challenge sometimes in a larger store like this. They had a bigger-than-usual selection of South African wines, which is a big plus in our book. Prices seemed average, and there were some pretty good specials. This time we just stopped in to buy a bottle of wine to bring to a friend's for dinner, but on a future visit we'll have to investigate the beer section further. On the way out, we noticed a freezer with BEER ICE CREAM. It may seem like a novelty, but it caught our attention. I want to clarify that the one star review is for an employee named Chip. I had a large purchase and took out two bank cards and told him I wanted to split the transaction. He said give me your card and promptly rang everything on one card. When I questioned why and that I told him I wanted to split the transaction, he said they don't do that. I asked him why he didn't say that in the first place as I would have used a different card. The transaction went fine, but I didn't want the whole amount on that one card. He ignored me after I asked questions. I called the store to speak with the manager, he answered the phone and said they weren't there, They'd be in the next day. I called and again got him and again he said they were not there. Roswell beverage does have a nice selection, and most of the staff is friendly and helpful. But Chip is an A$$HOLE. Unless I can speak to someone about his attitude and handling my transaction, I will shop elsewhere. read more

On approximately May 14 we went into Roswell Beverage where we have shopped for about 15 years. For a little background, I can't remember the exact time frame but the Owner had a single barrel of Eagle Rare before it became as popular as it is now. Over a period about 6 months, we would buy 1 or 2 bottles every other week and it was readily available for a long time. At one point the supply was getting low so we bought 2 cases. After the single barrel was out, we continued to buy Eagle Rare on a regular basis to keep our supply up. We gave it as gifts and my husband usually had one glass every evening. We also bought almost all of our liquer requirements at this establishment. Now to the problem on the day we went in, there was a Buffalo Trace large poster in the window. We asked for two large bottles of Buffalo Trace and were told it was limited to one per customer and that was fine. Then we asked if they had Eagle Rare and were told there was a new shipment of a single barrell. We were told one per customer which would have been fine EXCEPT WE WERE TOLD THAT WE COULD NOT PURCHASE THE EAGLE RARE UNLESS WE PURCHASED A BOTTLE OF 1792. We declined. The more I thought about it, I felt I was being blackmailed. We spoke to the Distillery and they had never heard of such a requirement. I stopped by last week and the owner was not in and I ask a counterperson to convey to her that after all the years patronizing the establishment, we would no longer. read more

The main reason I always come here is the customer service. The staff here always offer help, advice and tips. The staff don't just sit at the counter watching you walk around the store, waiting for you to make a decision, instead, they interact with you.
