The staff at the reception and the spa were both so friendly and approachable. One of the girls in the treatment rooms had taken ill however they didn't cancel our appointment, they just gave one of us our treatment then the other one after. There was a bit of a wait then as one had to sit in the bar area waiting on the other. I had the hot stone massage, it was so good. Seemed longer than half an hour too. It was relaxing and lovely. And they made you feel very comfortable too. After the treatments we had afternoon tea. You got as much tea as you wanted, sandwiches of choice with a wide range to select from and they were made to order, warm freshly baked scones with jam and cream, mini desserts such as meringue, profiteroles and ban offer. It was delicious. I have seen a similar offer for Dunadry this week, only difference being that the choice of sandwich was very slim and couldn't be amended except for dietary reasons. The price of their package was £25 so I think it would be worth a try.

I slugged down a slurp of superb Semillon in superior surroundings of Ross Park Hotel, simply sanguine; set for a Suzi! Enough of the S's ... Ross Park is a short 25 minutes from Belfast only 20 minutes from the International Airport. There are 40 bedrooms, 2 of which are executive. The venue is available to hire for weddings/ conferences etc. There is a fully equipped gym on site. It is conveniently close to Junction One and a short distance from Ballymena, which has some great shoe shops! This hotel is set is beautiful surroundings, it's not in the middle of nowhere, but it is out of the way if you're after a bit of peace and quiet. You will be welcomed graciously by lovely staff who are very accommodating. I came here recently to put my feet up for half an hour after shopping myself out in Ballymena. I was welcomed personally by the manager, who talked away to me, even though there was a busy wedding on. We chatted about their lovely wine selection and he offered me a seat to relax in their comfortable tea room. I really enjoyed my short stop here. I was really impressed by the professionalism, friendliness and elegance of the whole place. There are some great offers on their rooms so maybe I'll be lucky and get to stay here for a wee break, (I wonder if my other half's reading this?) ...hopefully he is ... *nudge nudge hint hint*

By the time we had arrived at Cairnryan Port Scotland it was very dark, but we decided to start driving the 200 mile trek from Cairnryan Port on the A77 roadway to Lochness Lake located approx (200) miles away. Being so very tired, and struggling to drive any further, we began looking for places to rest on the long dark roads around Ballantrae, this is when we stumbled upon the King Arms Hotel. The King Arms staff booked us in late without any trouble, were very polite and offered us a late night dinner and drinks. We ended up playing pool in the pub area, having drinks, and speaking to the locals in the pub about the history of the area. In the morning, in the dining room area, they had a very nice breakfast prepared for us to sustain us on our journey, the atmosphere was amazingly family like. It was a very unexpected and pleasant stop on our journey into Scotland! If you walk to the west of the main parking lot, there is a small trail which will lead you through a large grassy soccer field, this trail will take you to the shore of Ballantrae Bay, the trail is approximately 700 feet in length. The view in the morning hours was amazing!!!!! Definitely Recommend!

We had 2 large bedrooms, a kitchen, dining area and a large living room. We also had a washer/dryer in the cottage. Our cottage came with a fully stocked mini bar at no extra cost. We were given snacks at no extra cost. Both the drinks and snacks were replenished daily. There was a tv in the living room. All rooms were fully furnished. The kitchen had pots, pans, and dishes. Housekeeping came daily to clean. Beds were so comfy. Bathroom was very big. We were provided with robes and flip flops. Now let's talk about Thermal Spa Village. There were so many hot tubs, saunas and meditation rooms everywhere in the village. I never felt like it was too crowded. It was open from 8:00am-10:00pm daily. There is a river running through the property very scenic and peaceful. I don't think we even went to every spa steam room or sauna. It was just so much to experience. Now the spa also offered other services at an additional price. Breakfast was included with the purchase of our cottage. There were two restaurants that served breakfast. Our favorite was The Conservatory because they offered a la carte breakfast items and it was beautiful inside. They also have a Fratellis Italian restaurant on site and bar/ pub on site as well. So as mentioned my sister got married here. She was married in a small chapel called the Ghost House. Then they had the reception in the 4 Seasons reception hall adjacent to the hotel. It was very nice. There was comfortable seating. The food for the wedding was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed every bite and I had the vegetarian dishes. If you are planning to get hitched in Belfast, please consider the Galgorm Resort & Spa. You won't be disappointed.
