The hotel offers free water bottles (two) daily and the turn down service was amazing to have when we came back in after a night out having some amazing food. The prices for the hotel were pretty decent and the amenities I got from staying here were pretty nice as well! They offer breakfast buffet but it is on the higher end so I went to explore the local areas around the hotel! The place was super clean as well and everything was kept up to date and looking fresh! A wonderful hotel and one that I will be staying at again if I ever get the chance to visit Belfast again in the future!

The Fitzwilliam is centrally located close to many attractions such as 1) Opera House - next door 2) Crown Bar - 2 blocks 3) Ulster Hall - 3 blocks 4) Grand Central - 2 blocks 5) Black Taxi Tours - short drive & many, many more. We loved our stay & i want to thank the whole staff there for providing such a memorable experience for us in beautiful Belfast!

Unfortunately everything else about this hotel was a total mess. Our experience started by barely being able to open our door because it was sticking so strong to the frame. The room was fairly clean, not spotless and nothing too dramatic but overall it just has a rundown feeling to it. The beds were ok and the TV worked fine but the other major downside to the hotel was their hotel restaurant. The furniture all had tears and stains, and they didn't serve what was actually on the menu. Specifically, they told us that the cocktails on the menu were not available, even though they had a fully stocked bar. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night. They told us that the lasagna was not available and the "rosemary tator tots with chipotle mayo" had no rosemary whatsoever and the mayo was actually ranch dressing. They weren't able to serve water from the bar and overall it was extremely overpriced for the quality of food. We didn't even try to get breakfast or coffee at the hotel because of this negative experience. The hotel seems to have attempted a modern approach with their online self-check in and check-out options but it makes the low quality more pronounced by not having any sort of customer service experience. The staff that we did encounter were all nice and helpful, the poor experience we had was not a result of the people but rather the fact that the hotel felt rundown.

This is the one area that could use some serious attention. Let's face it, after a day of traveling or sightseeing, sometimes you want a quick sandwich, a fast brekkie, or an early light dinner. There's nothing worse than expecting a yummy meal only to be disappointed because the food was bland and boring. Sure, it takes some effort (and dollars) to kick up the flavor factor - but the payoff could be exponentially awesome. Word of mouth and repeat customers are sure to increase sales. You likely will forget accommodations, but you won't forget a great meal, yummy sandwich, crunchy fresh salad, or a fresh baked cinnamon roll. A little effort, that's all it would take. We'd stay here again, but we'd absolutely remember to grab quick meals somewhere else.

When we arrived at the apartment I was a little grossed out at the elevator and hallway, but it got worse when I walked into the apartment. Huge cobweb over one of the beds. The bat h room had stains on wall, dented bathtub surround, and possibly mold around the bath/shower. I immediately started looking for other accommodations. I went to front desk who showed me two separate rooms which I didn't find much better than the apartment. The clerk was not about to lose the reservation so we ended up getting two executive rooms which were adjoining rooms. It was better than its other options there, but still had issues. Water stains on ceiling, tiles on shower stall missing, hole in bathroom wall (I stuffed it with tissue). Best if all I had numerous guests which came into my room and died. Moths were coming in from the air vent (I think). The only reason for 2 stars is the staff seemed very nice. I would not go there again. They did give me the same price for the 2 rooms which was much appreciated.

On a whirlwind 2 week vacation to Ireland, the girlfriend & I tried to see & experience absolutely as much of this incredible land as we could. We did not accomplish every last activity we wished we could have on our rather ambitious itinerary. Nonetheless, we did discover a land of numerous stunning & magical wonders. We did see a land of unending natural beauty. We did learn of a land with a monumentally long history of trials, tragedies & triumphs. We did get to meet many kind, humorous, warm & generous people. Our vacation to Ireland was just 2 weeks, but that was time enough to know this is a land easy to love & a land to be sorely missed. Hotel 4 of 5 on our trip to Ireland was the Premier Inn Belfast near city center. This Premier Inn is a nice, clean, modern & inexpensive hotel with a very friendly & conversational staff. There are a couple hassles to staying here, however, & there was 1 complete fail in service during our stay. Checking in was great as we had a lively conversation with staff about our travels, the city of Belfast & a great many other things. We were greeted warmly from the front desk on most of our comings & goings. Our room was a decent size. While being neatly & efficiently appointed, the room still retained a comfortable feeling. From our 7th floor window we had a good view of Belfast & I was lucky enough to catch a couple beautiful sunrises over the low hills to the East. This Premier Inn on Alfred Street has no free parking or hotel car park. Paid parking is available nearby, but is pricey. Fortunately, we arrived on our 1st day late enough that it was after the paid street parking hours & we parked right in front of the hotel overnight for free. The next morning, we left the city for the day & again returned late enough to park on the street overnight for free. The day after that was Sunday & street parking is free all day. Lastly, the morning after that, we checked out & somehow managed to avoid paying for parking the 3 nights we stayed in Belfast. Internet is available in the hotel either at a couple computers in the lobby or by Wi-Fi in the room. Either way, you're really going to have to pay for it. Like £1/ 20 minutes or £20/ day pay for it. I think this is patently ridiculous. Finally, there was the single fail during our stay. Our 1st night in Belfast came after a long day driving & both the girlfriend & I were very tired. In addition to being very tired, it was late, we were hungry & we didn't know any places near the hotel to get dinner so we decided it would be easiest to eat at the hotel restaurant. I ordered a burger & fries. It took over 35 minutes for the kitchen to produce that burger & fries. Tired, hungry & waiting over 35 minutes for a burger & fries just ain't cool. We were comped a round of beers, so I left it at that. Overall, the Premier Inn on Alfred Street in Belfast is a good hotel for the money. The kind & hospitable hotel staff was definitely a highlight. It's in a conveniently central location, but parking a car while staying here can be dicey or expensive. Although Premier Inn is certainly not the only hotel to charge a fee for internet use, I find this practice at hotels to be absurd. About as absurd as waiting nearly 40 minutes for a burger & fries.

As part of a trip all over the UK, my auntie and uncle came here for one night. They got a taxi to and from the bus station so finding the hotel was not overly difficult. The lady at the desk got them checked in and sorted in minutes and their room was clean, tidy and quiet. They ate in the restaurant which was cheap and tasty. They got breakfast in the morning and the lady at the reception rang for a taxi and got them to the bus station on time, Uneventful I know but all you want from a hotel is that it is reliable and does what it should. And Premier Inn does just that.
