View of the River Lagan from our corner room

The service at this hotel is very good, people are very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the restaurant to the bar. The location is very good, right on the Lagan River, a short walk to St. George's Market and City Hall (where the Christmas Market was going on during our stay). On a nice day you could walk to the Titanic museum and the Salmon of Knowledge. Our room was fine, we understand that they're beginning a renovation soon (although our furnishings were in fine shape). The bathroom is what needs the upgrade. We had a strange tub/shower, a corner unit, that was odd to use, and a little slippery. Also, our room was a corner (which was a nice size) but stayed cold, to the point where they had an electric heater in the room. The breakfast buffet is very nice, and the servers are attentive and helpful. Being on holiday, we would have liked it to be open later during the week (it's open until 10am during the week, and 11am on the weekend). Parking is attached, but a separate company, so you get a discount to £18 per day, but there are no in/out privileges and you have to go to the first floor to pay at the pay station, but you park on the 2nd floor, and there's no place to park out of the way when you drive down to pay.

The beef was amazing along with the presentation. A great place to eat even if you are not staying at the hotel.

Just completed my 2nd lengthy stay here. Very professional staff. Clean and comfortable. The cuisine at the restaurant was exceptional. I will definitely stay here again when I'm in Belfast on business.

I recently saw a deal on Living Social for afternoon tea at the Hilton Hotel in Belfast. I was unaware the hotel did high tea so thought this was a great opportunity to check it out. We booked a table for two for Sunday afternoon and were shown to a seat which had a lovely view over the water with the H&W cranes in the background. A lovely Belfast picture. We were asked if we would like anything to drink to which we both replied tea. We weren't shown a tea menu (which I would have liked, so I could see the flavoured/fruit teas) but were more than happy with the breakfast Suki tea which arrived. We waited for the food and it came at about 3.30pm. I felt this was a little slow as we had booked the table for 3pm. Nonetheless, when the food it arrived, it made up for the wait. To start, we had a lovely selection of sandwiches, which included smoked salmon and creme fraiche on wheaten bread, as well as sour dough bread with mature cheddar, cured ham and apple chutney. This combination worked very well and I'm lucky that my sister isn't a huge cheese fan, so I got to eat both! (I did read in a menu beforehand there was a chicken sandwich- but we didn't get this. It seemed to be a brie sandwich?) We then moved on to scones, which came with butter and two jars filled with jam and cream. Finally (the best bit!) we were treated to tasty petit cakes, including a dark rich chocolate tart, a tangy lemon tart, creamy cheesecake and a large profiterole. I enjoyed every single dessert, particularly the cheesecake.

I've been to many Hiltons in the past and I've always had wonderful experiences, this one felt just a little rundown for the price. As you can tell from the pictures things are going unnoticed. There was pubic hair in our clean tub, Our room smelled like cigarettes (even though it was a non-smoking) and the lounge cushions in the bar were absolutely disgusting we must've switched seats 4 times before deciding on a leather one. On a positive note the guy bartender was amazing and our French martinis were delicious. We had numerous hotels to choose from but felt safe and comfortable with Hilton...Overall disappointed.

Book here if in Belfast many great things within walking distances especially if you are working in the city. Book with Internet and breakfast for a great value and try to get a river view. The food and drink in the hotel restaurants makes it deliciously easy. The room service does as well! Great customer service as well.

The Hilton Hotel Group have a fantastic reputation worldwide and a stay in any one of their hotels is guaranteed to be a relaxing and pleasant experience, and I must say the Hilton in Belfast did not disappoint. We stayed there a long time ago for an anniversary and certainly one of the best things about the hotel is it's location, it is literally a 5 minute walk from the city centre. When booking with the hotel you have the choice of a guest room, an executive room or a studio room with all rooms offering free internet connection, which for business people is a must. However there is a great difference in price with the studio room being £70 more expensive when we were looking to stay. There is an underground parking available at the hotel, however we found this to be quite expensive so staying in a car park in the city centre, or simplly using the buses would be my top tip. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is that because it is a chain hotel, you have the same experience no matter what Hilton you stay in. Some people like this because it guarantees you great quality but I prefer if a hotel has a bit of character that makes it unique. I find it is the same with chain hotels like Premier Inn that the more independent the hotels, the more exciting it is. However saying this, the hotel is great and you are guaranteed a great sleep and more than friendly staff.

My wife and I attended a seminar at this evening here. Facilities fantastic, car parking a night mare. Good spacious lobby and top location. The restaurant and bar on the ground floor is excellent-we only managed soft drinks in the bar, which were reasonably priced.

Executive suit was spacious and comfortable with stunning views of Belfast and River Lagan, especially beautiful at night when the city is luminous. I didn't stay myself but visited friends who booked into the Hilton for a couple of nights during March 2018. We had drinks in their room whilst enjoying the view and also dinner at the on-site bar. Things fell down a bit here, as service was very slow and I had to get up from our table to go ask staff for menus. Opinions about the food were mixed too, but I enjoyed my order of hummus, pitta bread, spicy chickpeas & avocado which they veganised for me by eliminating the egg. A few more vegetarian and especially vegan options would be great to see. Reports from my friends were excellent and they spoke highly of the breakfast and food available each evening in the executive lounge. Location is great as it's right beside Waterfront Hall, St George's Market and just a few minutes walk from Belfast City Centre, SSE Arena and Titanic Quarter.

A room with a fabulous view!

There is a gated parking lot. The hotel is located to many different restaurants, and it's also a quick walk to the city center. The shower drain was very slow. Even after putting in a request, it wasn't fixed during the duration of our stay. I requested extra blankets & pillows. It took the staff much too long to deliver the items. I had to go down to the front desk to request the items again. The rooms were clean & the bed was considerable. Overall, the stay was pleasant. However, the staffing needs to be held more accountable.

Cheap and cheerful Pros: The room was clean and smelled of fresh laundry. The carpark construction has finished and there was enough space to park quickly and securely and HIE is one of the very few hotels in the city that has a private carpark. The shower was clean and worked well Friendly staff all the way, I asked for a spare duvet and it was delivered swiftly, even though it was late in the evening, same with towels etc... Some food is available 24/7 Cons: The double bed was a joke. There is no way for two adults to get a comfortable sleep on such a tiny bed, I had to use the pull-out sofa so at least one of us would get some sleep. We're no giants either. Definitely a big minus and a reason I will not be coming back, unless I'm on my own. The soap in the bathroom is fixed to the wall and very cumbersome to use, the same one in the shower has been empty on arrival and for the last two days, housekeeping staff have been in and out on both days... There is no wardrobe or drawers in the whole room, not even the bedside tables have drawers, all your stuff is therefore either out in the open or stays in the luggage. On the fence: The breakfast was ok, but the apple juice was diluted to a point it should be called a drink not juice. The eggs have absolutely zero taste... No vegetable (not even a fried tomato) just beans and mushrooms... I appreciate that it was included, but again, you get what you pay for and this one is nothing to write home about, but does the job. Verdict: if you can get a good rate, it's a good choice. It is what it is...a cheap hotel with modern facilities with everything "just enough". If you're just passing through the city on business or traveling on a budget and if the rate is low, good choice. If you're going for a weekend away with a loved one, pay a bit more and enjoy a bit of luxury, you're not going to find it here. And again... The bed sucks!

But it was such a small room the beds were too close together and we had to walk sideways in between the beds. There was no dresser so we had to live out of a suitcase on the floor for a week. Because the shower is open to the door, the door had major water damage and was swollen and couldn't be closed all the way. The door jam was also had water damage. Aesthetically unappealing. The restaurant was very nice and the food was good. The staff were super nice about food orders. Enjoyed the meals. Some of the staff (front desk, restaurant and housekeeping) were very nice and others not as much. But overall the nice staff outweighed the not as nice staff. The building is located near a small cluster of pubs, restaurants and fast food outlets. Check in was not the best... After driving for several hours to Belfast and arriving late-ish and hungry the gentleman manning the reception didn't greet us with a smile and chose to take an incoming phone call prior to giving us our keycard. Understandable that at that time the reception is only manned by one person but placing the caller on hold for a few moments to see us sorted wouldn't hurt. Being the first impression for the property its ultimately important (and hardly expensive) for the receptionist to smile for guests. I did however manage to get half a smile out the man the next morning. The common areas of the hotel appeared to be more recently updated than the rooms and corridors, however many furnishings were worn. The corridor could do with a lick of paint and renewed carpet as the existing fittings are well worn/marked. Room furnishings were a bit plain and not like those advertised on the website. Beds were comfortable. No air conditioning (in our room anyway) - not a problem in December but consider this if you are staying over summer. The bathroom was fine, with a good strong shower. The water saving tap on the sink was a bit ridiculous as you need to run the tap for about a minute for the water to get warm. Breakfast included the usual hot options of full Irish with cereal, yoghurt, fruits and breads. Tea and brewed coffee supplied to the table by friendly staff. Overall an OK stay, the property could do well to make some updates to furnishings, and perhaps some extra training for one of the reception staff. Parking is 5 quid overnight which is a bit much considering street parking is available all around - however we were given free parking validation on checkout which was a nice gesture. Free WiFi is also available and was accessible from the rooms as well as the common areas, with the occasional drop out. I've stayed in much better 4-star hotels elsewhere so the money I would probably try somewhere else next time to Belfast.

It's a lot bigger inside than you realise, with various function rooms and an expansive lounge and bar/restaurant area, serving those staying in the hotel, and business folks and travellers passing through. The reception staff were very helpful, and the function I attended was well sign-posted and easy to find - there was a constant supply of tea and coffee, pastries and muffins, as well as orange juice and water. The food we had was lovely too, piping hot and tasty, and we were given a full three courses for lunch - unusual for an event like that, I thought. All in all, the hotel is pleasant and inviting and seems well run and professional. I can't speak for the hotel rooms, but the main areas of the hotel were all clean and well-maintained. There is plenty of parking for patrons also.
