Great hotel. Saddest pizza I ever received in my life via their room service-seriously it reminded me of public school cafeteria pizza; it was atrocious and not at all delicious. Thankfully I was refunded after speaking to the front desk staff the next day, which renewed my faith in the location. Breakfast buffet has good offerings. Stayed here in August of 2025 to witness Van Morrison in concert, which was conveniently located next door. Decent location, across the street from St. George's Market, and many shops and pubs nearby. Fairly newer hotel and very modern. Room was very nice, and bed was extremely comfortable. We had the breakfast buffet which was excellent, with so much food to choose from. Staff was very friendly and professional. Would definitely stay here again. read more

The service at this hotel is very good, people are very friendly and helpful, from the front desk to the restaurant to the bar. The location is very good, right on the Lagan River, a short walk to St. George's Market and City Hall (where the Christmas Market was going on during our stay). On a nice day you could walk to the Titanic museum and the Salmon of Knowledge. Our room was fine, we understand that they're beginning a renovation soon (although our furnishings were in fine shape). The bathroom is what needs the upgrade. We had a strange tub/shower, a corner unit, that was odd to use, and a little slippery. Also, our room was a corner (which was a nice size) but stayed cold, to the point where they had an electric heater in the room. The breakfast buffet is very nice, and the servers are attentive and helpful. Being on holiday, we would have liked it to be open later during the week (it's open until 10am during the week, and 11am on the weekend). Parking is attached, but a separate company, so you get a discount to £18 per day, but there are no in/out privileges and you have to go to the first floor to pay at the pay station, but you park on the 2nd floor, and there's no place to park out of the way when you drive down to pay. read more

While staying in Northern Ireland, we tended to opt for hotels. We decided on the Hilton in Belfast and it had some pros and cons. The good things were the location. You were walking distance from St. George's Market, City Hall, the Lagan River, and it was a distance, but a very doable walk to the Titanic Belfast. Additionally, the place is very modern looking. My biggest cons were the bed was very uncomfortable. Probably the worst bed we slept in while in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Additionally, the lounge area was a little dingy and did not seem very clean, especially in the Covid era. read more

I recently saw a deal on Living Social for afternoon tea at the Hilton Hotel in Belfast. I was unaware the hotel did high tea so thought this was a great opportunity to check it out. We booked a table for two for Sunday afternoon and were shown to a seat which had a lovely view over the water with the H&W cranes in the background. A lovely Belfast picture. We were asked if we would like anything to drink to which we both replied tea. We weren't shown a tea menu (which I would have liked, so I could see the flavoured/fruit teas) but were more than happy with the breakfast Suki tea which arrived. We waited for the food and it came at about 3.30pm. I felt this was a little slow as we had booked the table for 3pm. Nonetheless, when the food it arrived, it made up for the wait. To start, we had a lovely selection of sandwiches, which included smoked salmon and creme fraiche on wheaten bread, as well as sour dough bread with mature cheddar, cured ham and apple chutney. This combination worked very well and I'm lucky that my sister isn't a huge cheese fan, so I got to eat both! (I did read in a menu beforehand there was a chicken sandwich- but we didn't get this. It seemed to be a brie sandwich?) We then moved on to scones, which came with butter and two jars filled with jam and cream. Finally (the best bit!) we were treated to tasty petit cakes, including a dark rich chocolate tart, a tangy lemon tart, creamy cheesecake and a large profiterole. I enjoyed every single dessert, particularly the cheesecake. read more

I've been to many Hiltons in the past and I've always had wonderful experiences, this one felt just a little rundown for the price. As you can tell from the pictures things are going unnoticed. There was pubic hair in our clean tub, Our room smelled like cigarettes (even though it was a non-smoking) and the lounge cushions in the bar were absolutely disgusting we must've switched seats 4 times before deciding on a leather one. On a positive note the guy bartender was amazing and our French martinis were delicious. We had numerous hotels to choose from but felt safe and comfortable with Hilton...Overall disappointed. read more

The Hilton Hotel Group have a fantastic reputation worldwide and a stay in any one of their hotels is guaranteed to be a relaxing and pleasant experience, and I must say the Hilton in Belfast did not disappoint. We stayed there a long time ago for an anniversary and certainly one of the best things about the hotel is it's location, it is literally a 5 minute walk from the city centre. When booking with the hotel you have the choice of a guest room, an executive room or a studio room with all rooms offering free internet connection, which for business people is a must. However there is a great difference in price with the studio room being £70 more expensive when we were looking to stay. There is an underground parking available at the hotel, however we found this to be quite expensive so staying in a car park in the city centre, or simplly using the buses would be my top tip. The only negative thing I have to say about this hotel is that because it is a chain hotel, you have the same experience no matter what Hilton you stay in. Some people like this because it guarantees you great quality but I prefer if a hotel has a bit of character that makes it unique. I find it is the same with chain hotels like Premier Inn that the more independent the hotels, the more exciting it is. However saying this, the hotel is great and you are guaranteed a great sleep and more than friendly staff. read more

Big, loud, well located, but still typical dated tired Hilton. Service was hit or miss, generally good, but with missteps. To be objective, staff handled the problem well, and upgraded us to corner room with better views, and access to Executive Lounge. That was nice, and Lounge is quite good too. The price point is a bit high for the amenities, and boring decor. Breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. Not sure why people are so complimentary of this Hilton. 3.5 at best. read more

Executive suit was spacious and comfortable with stunning views of Belfast and River Lagan, especially beautiful at night when the city is luminous. I didn't stay myself but visited friends who booked into the Hilton for a couple of nights during March 2018. We had drinks in their room whilst enjoying the view and also dinner at the on-site bar. Things fell down a bit here, as service was very slow and I had to get up from our table to go ask staff for menus. Opinions about the food were mixed too, but I enjoyed my order of hummus, pitta bread, spicy chickpeas & avocado which they veganised for me by eliminating the egg. A few more vegetarian and especially vegan options would be great to see. Reports from my friends were excellent and they spoke highly of the breakfast and food available each evening in the executive lounge. Location is great as it's right beside Waterfront Hall, St George's Market and just a few minutes walk from Belfast City Centre, SSE Arena and Titanic Quarter. read more

Had a lovely stay over here. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were amazing. So friendly and professional. The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. The residents bar had a large range of drinks, cocktails, beers, spirits and a variety of ales. Breakfast buffet had everything you could possibly want and the dining room was bright and lovely. The hotel is within a 5-10 minute walk of the town centre with taxis available outside and central train station just across the way. Our room had a view directing straight at H&W, nice to wake up to in the morning. I can't fault our stay, the hotel or staff in any way. It was fabulous. read more

Environment: - Room is OK. Layout is kinda weird. The door to the bathroom opens outward rather than inward. So, if you want to leave the door ajar, its going to block you from opening the front door. - no air vent in bathroom - no microwave - no ground coffee (just instant coffee) - walls were reasonably thick but I could still hear the neighbors laughing. - bathroom color has very high contrast tiles colors: black and white. I do not feel relax in there. It's just too stark. Service: - The day of my check-in, a younger Irish gentleman was helping me and he spoke with a distinctly heavy Irish accent. - There was not a whole lot of smiling or going the extra mile to make me feel welcome after my long trip there. I certainly looked and sounded foreign to Belfast but he did not care to ask if I were visiting the first time. He did not care to offer me a local map or ask if I needed help with food-stores or restaurants recommendation; nothing of that sort. It's a lost opportunity to make a difference in serving. - Went into my room and found out that I needed to pay for the hotel's WiFi. I paid for it promptly and then I realized I had more than one device. I wasn't going to pay again so I needed to know the code. I called front-desk and it was the same guy who picked up the phone. At first, he said I can't use multiple devices. Then, he said I needed a code. So, he gave me a code but it was a partial code. I tried but my device cannot get through. I called again and then a lady told me the full code. The entire experience was unpleasant and I felt the whole setup was not up to par. The process of getting access to the paid WiFi has some rough edges that felt unpleasant. - This is one of the most unfriendly Hiltons I have been visited. Conclusions: Would I return to this hotel? Not until the manager or regional manager contacts me directly and assure me that these issues will not crop up again. Remember: a hotel is a hospitality service. If the people are not hospitable, you have lost the game right there. read more

Four stars is appropriate for this hotel. The hotel is in a great spot. It's tucked away from the city center but walking distance to Victoria Square and local museums. The concierge and staff are very helpful and friendly, mostly because they're all Irish who I believe are the nicest people on earth. I happen to be Irish. Anyhow..Breakfast in the morning is great with a huge selection of food, juices, etc. They do need to upgrade the bathrooms. Our shower leaked water bad so getting ready every morning was a delight. This is a beautiful hotel. The place has almost 200 rooms, as well as conference rooms, a bar, restaurant, and a 24 hour gym! Upon entering the hotel, you're greeted by a huge sweeping lobby/reception area. The place just smacks of elegance and affluence. We were upstairs for a wedding, and this place can really do a wedding. The room, the food, the organisation, the delivery... the place didn't disappoint at all. But I'm thinking Yelp fans will be more interested in it as a place for accommodation rather than its wedding facilities. The Hilton is just a few minutes' walk from Belfast city centre, a stone's throw from St. George's Market (a great place to stroll around on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings), and a 10-15 minute walk from the Odyssey (see my Odyssey review). It's also right beside the Waterfront Hall. It's hard to beat this place for location. Yes, the Europa Hotel is possibly even more central, but the Hilton doesn't have three pubs facing it which will be busy at the weekend and will all be emptying shortly after 1a.m. Parking in Belfast hotels is a pain. The Europa uses a few surrounding car parks, whereas the Hilton has a multistorey car park adjacent to it which is £18 per night. The rooms in the Hilton are excellent. The beds are comfortable, the rooms have all the facilities you'd expect (except that I think the TVs in all rooms are pay-per-view, grrrr), and I was lucky enough to be staying in a room which overlooked the River Lagan - it's a beautiful view. It is a luxury hotel and this is reflected in the price - rooms here start from somewhere around £140 per night per couple. The annoying thing when phoning here for queries/bookings is that you have to go through those recorded messages, "press option one for..." and that can be a pain. I think I was put through to a call centre too, as any general questions regarding the hotel (cost of parking, location of parking, was it 24hr, etc.) seemed to require information being tapped into a computer. If you're someone who stays in luxury hotels on your travels then the Hilton hotel should definitely be one of your considerations. read more

We stayed at the Hilton for 4 days, the location of the hotel is great. Executive suite was clean but not so spacious as I expected and the staff is ok. The room tv does not allow you to connect external devices, the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired for the price they charge and the parking lot has to be paid for as well, depending on the room you are staying. I can only review the Hilton based on the since I've never stayed in their rooms and apparently most of my knowledge is bar-related! The public bar of this hotel is quite nice, but, like hotel bars the world over, it's vastly over priced! The mark-up on each drink seems negligible, but a round of 2 drinks that should cost between £6 and £7 will probably come in at about £8, which adds up over the course of a night! That said, it's quite a cosy place to sit in, and is far enough away from party-central to have a chilled-out vibe. The food's pretty decent as well, although it's pretty much the same as the drinks price-wise. read more

Gorgeous hotel, have stayed here twice now. Right next to the River and the Waterfront hall, 2 minutes from the train station and 10 minutes walk from the Odyssey - ideal if you going to a show. Impressive reception and Beautiful rooms, tastefully decorated and great views. Also has an executive lounge for the premier guests. Parking is adjacent but it must be said that the multistorey is a bit of a squeeze. You could stay in a lot worse and can get good room rates. Waterfont Hall, River Lagan, Victoria Square are all nearby. Area around hotel is clean. Staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Waiting staff are not as good as those at reception. At first glance the belfast hilton hotel is just like any other it screams sophistication and entices potential customers with its great location and fanatstic amenities such as the restraunts extremely varied menu. But just as soon as you hand your money over its a different story customer service is virtually non existant it took me allmost 45 minutes of phoning reception before i even got a answer! and when i did finally get through i was greeted by a rather arrogant man who told me sorry about the delay the phone line was unplugged when i complained. Now for any other hotel i really wouldint mind about this inconvenience but when your paying an insane amount of money for one of the best hotels i think its only fair to expect that they can afford to adequatly maintain their phones after all how hard is it to plug a phone line back in? read more

Hilton used to mean top quality. This one was filthy. Hallways looked unkempt and unvacuumed. Seats in bar are stained and disgusting. Was extremely disturbed by the sheer amount of nastyness that I encountered here. Our traveling partners room was in worse shape than ours. read more

I've only used the bar in this hotel and have found that it is overpriced for no good reason. The food, service, decor etc was nothing special. This bar can be bettered in every way by any number of bars in Belfast. Yes, it has a near-city centre setting but so do a whole list of hotels. I can't see any excuse for the high prices. read more

I've stayed in this hotel once and I would love to stay there again. I booked myself and my niece in for one night while the WWE superstars were there, as we are both huge fans. It only cost £80 for the both of us for one night in a standard guest room. The room itself was gorgeous, very comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. When you first go into the room, there's a plasma TV which says 'Welcome.....(lead guest's name)'. I couldn't believe it when I saw my name on the screen, it was class. The breakfast the next morning was lovely and the restaurant is a great size. The Cables Bar beside the lobby is also great. They serve lovely food, bit pricey but then again it is a 5* hotel. I would definitely stay there again. read more
