Room/Cost: (5) My friend and I stayed here for two night last week while traveling Belfast ourselves. The cost came out to $179 USD for 2 nights (about 55 GBP/night). For the price paid, I was immensely satisfied with the room. It was spacious (huge, actually), clean, and had all the customary amenities. Ditto for the bathroom. They didn't supply free toiletries, but there was body and hair wash in a dispenser in the shower. The decor is their trademark purple and white with minimal art; I liked it because it kept things fresh and simple.
Location: (4.5) Located on the edge of City Centre, Premier Inn on Waring Street is a good choice of budget travelers. It's a short stroll from restaurants, shopping, sights, and tour departure points. The area is quiet at night, but we didn't feel unsafe on our walks back. It could be even more centrally located, and that keeps it from earning perfect marks, but all-in-all the location is more than satisfactory.
Service: (4) I had two very different service experiences here. If anyone from management reads this review, I hope they'll appropriate reward/scold the proper staff members. The girl working the front desk around 10:00am on March 3, 2011 was AWFUL. She was rude, was in the middle of a [seemingly] personal call, barely glanced at us, and gave us an incorrect answer to question about transportation (we later asked the bus station itself). On the other hand, the girl working the front desk around 8:00am and 10:00am on March 2, 2011 and again around 8:00pm on March 3, 2011 is AWESOME. My friend and I peppered her with a plethora of questions, but she answered each one and spent the time to research brochures, call places for us, and answer our questions thoroughly. I don't know how we would have managed if it was not for her.
Overall: (4.5) If I came to belfast again, I would definitely stay here again and would recommend Premier Inn to other budget travelers. read more
