We needed to get our floors refinished and we were referred to Ross. He was very professional as well as personable. His crew of Pedro and Mario were very efficient, polite, and did absolutely beautiful work. Our floor was pretty thrashed after 21 years and Ross promised to do his best. We weren't expecting a miracle but that is exactly what we got! I would refer him to do any wood flooring job you need to have done. read more

We had to redo our floors and had already been working with a restoration company for months--pack out/in, flooring, baseboards, door casings, painting, even crawl space insulation. We were literally one week away from starting when, by chance, a flooring store mentioned Ross as an option if we decided not to move forward with our contractor. We're not the type to shop around--we usually pick a well-reviewed contractor and go. So switching last minute felt risky, especially to someone who only handled flooring when we needed a full scope of work. We even explored another restoration company that could do everything. But after meeting Ross, the decision became clear. Ross stood out immediately--honest, communicative, and incredibly knowledgeable. He pointed out issues the original restoration company had missed, which gave us a lot more confidence in his expertise. He was also upfront about an upcoming trip, but assured us he'd stay involved in planning and return for the final walkthrough--and he did exactly that. We moved forward with Ross, knowing it meant coordinating multiple contractors ourselves. It could have been stressful, but his team made it seamless--especially Felipe, who deserves an 11/10. We were actually out of town for most of the project, and Felipe kept us constantly updated. He was thoughtful, detail-oriented, and proactive--fixing things we didn't even know needed attention. Ross' team handled floor removal, subfloor leveling, and installation, along with removing and reinstalling baseboards and door casings. At the same time, we had other vendors working in parallel--a tile contractor, painters, and a plumber installing new vanities. Everyone coordinated smoothly, and Ross' team worked collaboratively to ensure everything aligned and transitions looked clean and cohesive. True to his word, Ross came by right after his trip for a final walkthrough and quickly addressed any small touch-ups. He also helped work with our insurance, which made a big difference. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience genuinely stood out. If you're someone who relies on reviews like I do--Ross and his team are absolutely worth it. read more

Ross and his team helped us with our floors as part of our home remodel a few years ago. Our house had existing hardwood except for one area, where Ross was able to match and lace in with the old floor to make it look like it's always been this way. Everything was sanded and stained to perfection and we've been very happy with it. Since then, we have had some minor repairs that Ross has come out and helped us with at no charge. Always very kind and willing to help. I recommend Ross Wood Flooring! read more

The floors look reasonably good, but they got sawdust everywhere. Damaged my kitchen cabinet during sanding, and left sanded nail heads exposed. When I tried to contact them after the fact, they ghosted me. read more

Hi Ross and team, I just wanted to tell you that today was my first day seeing the floor and it turned out excellent. Adding a wood floor to the foyer and removing the two thresholds between rooms and is just what my in-laws need at this point in their lives. Please tell Mario we appreciate his attention to detail. The transitions are great now. Great job I would recommend you to anyone. read more

We need to change our outdated laminate flooring and Ross has the lowest quote among the flooring company that replied through Yelp. He was on time when we set for an appointment and on the day of the service. It only took a day and a half for them to do the job. The outcome of the job was so amazing. Highly recommended. Thank you Ross! read more

We used Ross to lay vinyl flooring over travertine. I got a couple quotes but i went with Ross because I liked him and his pricing. He did what he said he was going to do to save us money and got the job done within the timeframe he quoted. He started and closed out with me everyday and i felt comfortable leaving him and his guys in my home. Really happy with how everything turned out. I will definitely refer him to my friends and family. Thank you Ross to you and your team. read more

I had my floors done by this company and they did a decent job, but then I had them do my stairs and it was a complete disaster. They used the wrong glue and when we came down the stairs they completely fell apart and broke. The flooring pattern didn't match but I didn't even say anything about it. The owner came to repair, but the job just didn't look right. We double checked to make sure the stairs were secure, and one was not. We called to let him know and he accused us of pulling it off. Why would we do that? He was always too busy to comeback and fix it or I had to go to work when he could come. It really ruined my life for a while. It's still not fixed. It's been more than six months. I would not recommend. read more

Ross and his team were professional and punctual. He responded to any questions I had in a timely manner and also provided me with samples after I described to him what look I was going for. He never made me feel rushed to make a decision but made sure I was aware of any deadlines. He informed me of the progress of the install and in the end I was left with beautiful wood laminate floors. Thank you Ross! read more

Our kitchen vinyl floor was separating. It was only installed about a year ago after remodeled our house. I was looking for a floor repair contractor and I found Ross Sealy. He responded to my floor repair request very quickly. We talked over the phone and his schedule allowed him to come over that same day. He arrived on time to his appointment with the tools needed to complete the floor repair. He was very professional and our pets even liked him. He looked at the work that needed to be done, he said he can fix it and he got to work. See my photos attached for the before and after of the repair. I contacted Ross of Ross Wood Flooring for a quote on my condo which needed laminate flooring. We spoke on the phone for some time and he provided me with some options and a basic quote based on my estimated square footage. He was very knowledgeable and geared me away from certain laminates which he noted would not stand up to the test of time. When we met at the condo, he showed up on time and was very professional throughout the process. I was provided with an assortment of samples but ultimately went with his suggestion for durability, color, and affordability. He called back a few days later to finalize the pricing, material, and a start date. On the day of the demolition, he and his workers arrived promptly and worked efficiently. They took the time to keep everything as clean as possible. Since it was laminate, installation went quickly once demolition was completed. The final product is wonderful. You can see the finished product for yourself. Aside from being a beautiful silvery light brown finish, it has worn well despite the abuse a living room takes. I have recommended Ross to friends who are also happy with their results. I plan on using Ross Wood Flooring again myself for future projects. read more

Satisfied with the job. Would not say they went above and beyond. They had to remove our baseboards to install the floors. When reinstalling the base boards, they were very messy. Baseboards not alligned. Caulk job was done rushed. I'll need to re-caulk before re-painting them. They did the job but I likely would go with someone else if I could do it over. read more

Ross is your person if you're looking for wood flooring. Ross busted his butt to play schedule switcheroo with us to work around everything we had going on. His crew was great. Quick. Clean. Amazing install. Lots of personal care. Honestly wish we were in a place to do the whole house (especially the bathrooms), but the living room and all look so much better than they did with old carpet. read more

Highly recommend!! Ross and his team were very skilled and did a great job for us. They reinstalled hardwood floors after a leak. Our floors were herringbone, each piece of wood had to be cut individually and matched with existing, they made it a seamless transition, which was not easy to do. They genuinely cared about doing good work and it showed. Grateful to Ross for helping us!! Looking forward to using him with clients in the future. read more

Ross did a great job on our condo. He was on time for the quote. The showroom he directed us to use was super easy to do business. He was in and out of the condo on time and the flooring looks great. It is a rental, so we went with Vinyl planks. They are super durable and in line with the price we needed. I would use him over again anytime! Thanks for the great job! read more

Ross is great! My husband and I recently encountered some unfortunate flood damage. We had to take up much of our new wood flooring that Ross had previously installed. The results were amazing! You can not tell that we ever had any damage. Its seemless and perfect! Ross is extremely competitive with his pricing and professional beyond belief. He was punctual everyday wiling to get the task at hand done in a timely manner, and done in the most perfect way. He is extremely detail oriented, punctual, and was willing to work with our budget. He has since followed up with us many times to make sure that we were happy with our results. We have never been happier!! read more

Research no further. Ross and his guys are super quick and make the process of installing new flooring painless and easy. He recommended a great material of vinyl to consider, vendor and a brand to keep me in budget which I appreciated. They installed my entire downstairs not including kitchen in one day! Love how everything turned out. read more

Just reviewing based on a phone call trying to arrange someone to come in for an estimate for a floor repair. First of all, he said that the work will not be done until the end of September. HMMM, pretty booked up, so this place must be good, told him I have to ask someone if it can be wait that long, but I still wanted to know if I can arrange them to come in for an estimate. Then he said, "...it would be a WASTE OF MY TIME to get an estimate for the work that I might not get." WHAT AN XXX!!! And I got your information from Angie's List. You definitely don't deserve to be on the list! read more

We used Ross and his team for our wood flooring and not only is he honest but really really easy to work with! Of coarse with any construction- we had some unexpected things pop up that weren't planned and he handled everything so professionally and perfect and we are very very happy with the results! read more

It takes a lot for me to 5 star review someone and very little to give a bad one. But after dealing with tons of talkers and shady "contractors" I met Ross and felt like i was talking to a friend rather than a salesman. He answered all my dumb questions and walked me through the entire process, gave me his cell phone and let me text him even dumber questions when I started googling and looking at floors. I ended up going with Gray (shocker) Engineered Bamboo that I finally decided on after flip flopping 34978 times. Once the annoying part was done (me), he told me 5 days and deleivered, the floors looked beautiful with 0 gaps and 0 inperfections and brand new base boards. It was actaully pretty amazing when you have something done exactly right and perfect, thank you so much Ross, totally transformed my place! read more

Ross just completed installing new wood floors in our home in Irvine - I believe he services all of OC. He did a very quality install job and was super knowledgeable about everything having to do with wood flooring. He gave us showrooms to choose the wood from and walked us through each step of the way. We are very happy with the results and his professionalism. I would highly recommend him and in fact he is working on my parents' home this month too. read more

I've had floors installed several times over the last twenty years or so and Ross is easily the best I've worked with. Dependable, competitive pricing, professional, personable. He installed engineered hardwood throughout our house, on time and on budget. He even created an epic stairway skirt for us! Next house we buy, he will be my first call! read more

Ross was fantastic. Needed a portion of the living room floor replaced and he did a great job blending it with the rest of the floor. Turned out beautifully. Great service and so enjoyable to deal with. He and his guys always arrived on time and completed the project exactly how he said they would. I thought the price was reasonable but even more so now based on the quality and professionalism we experienced. Wouldn't call anyone else for floors in the future. read more

We have very soft cherry floors and had initially called Ross to refinish them. Even though he could have earned a lot more money in doing so, he told us the floor's wear layer was too thin and refinishing was not the right option. Instead, Ross and his team added a protective seal to our floors. There were some issues with a film from use of particular cleaners (not their fault-- ours) but they still came back and redid the job, free of charge to us, and wouldn't quit until our floors looked perfect. They are beautiful now! Ross is a great guy, and so easy to work with. He is very knowledgeable and honest, and wants to make sure each customer is completely satisfied. It's unusual in this day and age to work with a company that stands by their work in this way. We highly recommend this business! read more

Ross did a wood floor refinishing job for our elderly mom a while back and, when water damage caused a problem with her kitchen floor, he worked with us to find a solution that worked well for her and caused minimal disruption. He's extremely knowledgeable, a very nice guy, and has an incredible work ethic. Looking forward to working with him again as there are several wood floor installations in our future! read more
