We sanded, we pounded (distressing the wood), we stained, we sanded again, we painted, we sanded again, and we coated our final products. Then, we attached the hanging hardware. I walked around for a while, still nobody. A good 10 minutes later, I still have not been helped. All I could hear was a woman having a very casual phone conversation from the back room. I had announced myself twice, and even asked if "anyone was here" loud enough for someone in the back to hear me. I guess the phone conversation she was having was much more important than an actual customer in the store. From what I saw, everything seemed to be locally produced, but was very overpriced. I am always willing to pay more for a store that gives great customer service, but sadly, this type of retail is what had me going back to amazon. Disappointing to say the least, my business will be going elsewhere.

I contacted the Westminster store the following morning to see if I could exchange it for a lighter version speaking to Carlin. She told me there were 13 in stock in Washington for exchange and that would be hearing from the store manager the next day. It is a week and I still haven't heard back. Basically I'm being ghosted. After reading the other reviews online, I see that customer service is not a strong point of the Westminster store. I had to reach out to the main customer service line to hear that they would be unlikely to do this. While I understand that there are variations in color, rather than return it, I asked for an exchange. I haven't even removed the table from its box. The coffee table I got looks like a teak or mahogany wood and would never be used as a display. I have not had this kind of experience with exchanges from any other furniture store that I've shopped: west elm, cb2, room and board, you name it with . Backordered package originally due to arrive 13-Dec-2019, never showed up. No communication from Lowe's until we called. Got sent between Corporate and Local Westminster, CO store. Hung up on several times after phone transfers or phone would ring and ring with no answer. Finally got to someone in store indicating backorder status. Email magically showed up 19-Dec-2019 (6 days after original forecast delivery date) indicating new delivery date of 03-Jan-2020, however, phone conversation with Lowe's previously indicated mid to late Jan 2020. Was told to submit rebates anyways by Lowe's personnel--Rebates were DENIED after 1 week's time. Finally CANCELED order today 26-Dec-2019. Have already de-installed over-range microwave 2 weeks ago in preparation for delivery. Poor customer service, poor communication, and poor sales practice attracting us to buy from them with all of the rebates but could not fulfil order and did not make good with reducing order cost or extending rebate submission duration.
