Discount store with some decent offerings. There are worse places to shop and if you take your time you can find some decent deals. While I would not recommend going out of your way to come here, if you find yourself by one they can't hurt to look inside and see what you can find. read more

Ross Dress for Less - Department Stores Near Me - Orlando, Florida

See all

After hitting most of the TJ Maxxx stores, Marshalls, and Homegoods stores in the greater Orlando area, we decided to stop into this store to look and see what they had to offer. What a mistake. The store was hard to navigate with very narrow aisles and seems like you had to squeeze in to look for stuff and just felt like it was a pop-up store with racks of clothes that weren't inviting me to browse through them. I gave it a chance and unless I hear Ross is the only place that has a certain brand for like $10 or something, I don't plan on coming back. read more

Today I was involved in a serious incident involving this Ross location and the Store Manager, Aurela Teta. I came to this Ross to shop for clothes, I grabbed some I liked and I went to the fitting rooms to try them on. The Store Manager was there organizing clothes and was rude from the beginning. She did not acknowledge me standing there and just barked at me to put my clothes on the rack so she could count it and give me a ticket - thats fine. As Im in my underwear in the changing rooms trying on the clothes, Aruela and another Man come into the Mens Changing room and start yelling and banging on the door. Aruelas yelling at me for a good minute while im throwing all my clothes back on. Once I step outside to see whats going on, the first thing I hear from Aruela is "you took this mans shirt and you need to give it back" I have absolutely no idea whats going on, the man Aruela was with is continuously cursing at me. Turns out this man was using the fitting room prior to me and left a t-shirt in the stall on the floor, and assumed that I was trying to steal it. While this is happening, Aruela ushers me out of the fitting room while the other man is cursing at me and getting close to me. I get scared and run out, where my Wife was able to hear everything along with a group of customers outside. Once outside, I ask the security guard by the exit for the Store Manager so that I am able to report this incident. Turns out that Associate that barged into the Mens room and accused me of stealing another mans shirt blindly - was the Store Manager. Aruela Teta. I advise everyone to stay away from this Ross, unless you want to get harassed by Store Management. My advice to Ross, train your SMs better. An SM should NEVER escalate a situation with another customer by blindly accusing someone of stealing, without calmly gathering all the facts and finding out what was going on. read more

In a ranking of these types of discount stores, Ross ranks pretty low on that list for me. This location in particular tends to always be a crowded and dirty, cluttered mess. read more

I love the selection and hours. I could get lost here shopping forever. The brand names they carry are awesome. I like that they have more skin care items. Their employees are constantly organizing and sorting. read more

Ross Dress for Less - If you can't sleep, just come to ROSS! - Department Stores Near Me - Orlando, Florida

This Ross has a lot of items. If you can't find it at another Ross? Come to this one. This Ross also has jewelry, not all Rosses do. The line is very long except if you go in when they first open. I'm talking about down the aisles long. On a weekend they need to be smarter about staffing cashiers. It's a bit messy, but it's Ross. Just sift through the items for bargains. If you can't, Ross may not be for you. You would likely prefer TJMaxx. But you get great deals at Ross Don't use the bathroom there... it's never clean read more

This store clearly racially profiles customers!!! I went to this Ross shopping for items for an upcoming vacation. I'm 35 and walked in wearing yoga pants, a t-shirt and holding my wallet (no bag or purse)... I was casually browsing for items for myself and my children so I went to many different departments. The security guard asked me almost every 20-30 minutes if there was something they could help me find. Why is security asking me what I'm looking for?????? Each time I said ' no' but he continued to pop up every half hour or so....WTF? One of the associates took my cart while my back was turned and conveniently the security guard popped back up to ask if he could help me find anything. I had to start shopping from scratch but ... this store clearly racially profiles customers. read more

Very terrible customer service. The store itself is a typical Ross, but the people working there are not the friendliest.

With Ross you can definitely "dress for less". It is no joke or secret that you can find either similar products or even the same brands that you would see at a TjMax or Marshalls. In fact, the store has a similar concept of these previously mentioned department stores. However, Ross is more often than not too crowded to look for item in peace. At least that's been my experience. read more

The whole time I was in the store there was a alarm going off by the purses. They have a greeter doing nothing and a line of people waiting to check out! Need the greeter on the register! read more

This is a good Ross store. We come here every time we come to Waterford Lakes. Given its location, it can be a very busy store. I like Ross stores for snacks, watches and T-shirts. This store doesn't disappoint. It's helpful not to come too often, otherwise the selection always looks the same. read more

There is something to be said about a messy store that has cheap clothing and household items. I find that if the store has cheap prices, and is not nice and neat you are getting more of a bargain. Call me crazy, but I feel that this Ross has way more stuff than the TJ Maxx next door. I have purchased everything from Jeans to a dog collar. love me some cheap stuff! read more

If you are the hunting & gathering type of shopper then Ross is the store for you. If you are more of a fast shopper then Ross will drive you insane. I tend to be more of a rushed shopper so I generally steer clear of Ross with the exception of a few items, like socks. Seriously, they have the best deals on socks around. I have also had good luck with kitchen tools and lunch bags. Odd stuff, but things I know I can get at Ross for much less than other stores. The quality of items at Ross is in general pretty good, but every once in a while I will see obviously damaged or even used products in the store, and that freaks me out a bit. I mean, who actually puts a price tag on a worn-out and stained shirt? Clearly someone abandoned that thing in the dressing room for good reason. My major gripe with this store is with their checkout process. There is always a long line, and they have a queue set up for regular purchases and another line for returns and exchanges. So, the return line always seems to move faster, since there are far fewer people waiting there. Second, when you finally do make it to the register the cashiers will call the next customer to the register before you have finished with your transaction. Yesterday I was even directed to tear off my own receipt once it printed out. I guess those seconds between transactions are vital to them. Honestly, they should just add an extra cashier. Two stars, simply because I like to be handed my receipt. They need to hire extra cashiers and start providing friendly service again. read more

I purchased a pair a shoes at the Michigan St location when I prepared to wear the shoes I noticed that both shoes where different size even though they were placed together with the security tag at the store. I had the receipt and went to the Waterford location near my house and the manager Wilma refused to take the shoes because she said the other pair would be at the other store and it will cause there store to lose money if they returned it. I explained to her that I cannot do anything with the shoes being that they are two different size she said she understand but it will be a lose to their store so I need to travel across town to the location I orginally purchased it. I do not see this written into their policy and I am devastated at this experience. read more

This Ross is probably one of the most frustrating ones I've been to. Not because of the selections, mind you. The stuff they have at this location is phenomenal. They seem to have a lot more product here. For example, I've searched high and low for football cleats in my size, yet every single other Ross I've been to did not have them, but this one did! So it isn't an issue of what they have, it's an issue of how many people shop there: it's literally always packed. Always. Waiting in line for the cashier is incredibly tedious. You can prepare to remain in line for a solid 10 minutes (on a good day) just to check out. Frustrating. I would say that there are better Ross stores but it just isn't true. If you can afford to brave it out and wait an extra 15 minutes to buy merchandise most other Ross stores don't have, well then more power to you. read more

I understand the concept of "dress for less", but does that mean we have to sacrifice basic cleanliness and customer service, in order to pay a little less? I went into Ross, with the intention of buying some perfume...the prices are very affordable for fragrances I enjoy. After choosing my favorites, I decided to walk around and take a peek at what else I might find. What I found was that , Ross is dirty! I picked up a blouse and it fell off the hanger onto the floor and when I picked it up...there was already dirt on it!?!? It hit the floor for a second. To make matters worse, they make a big hairy deal about you putting your choices on the rack at the dressing room, so the rude attendants can re-count your items, because clearly you are not capable of counting to 3, and then you are told to go in the direction of the appropriate dressing room. The dressing rooms are incredibly dirty and nasty. Oh, and while I am on that topic...let me just voice LOUDLY, that if you have not bothered to SHOWER today, PLEASE, PLEASE ,PLEASE DO NOT TRY ON CLOTHES IN ANY STORE, EVER!!!! I wanted to VOMIT at the scent of a woman who smelled like a bag of rotten onions and dirty socks! Why dear God is she trying on clothes?? Who is going to purchase the outfit that she chooses not to buy after she stunk it up?? I could not even get her smell out of my nose!! I was so angered by her stench that I walked to the back of the dressing room into a back stall about 20 stalls away from her. I could still smell her...I couldn't even try on my items...I started feeling sick. I FELT TRAPPED IN A WORLD OF STINK! I gave my items to the attendant and told her of the woman who smelled and that her items may need to be steamed and I walked away. Ross is Dirty! I purchased my fragrance but most likely will not make any other purchases from them , except as a last resort. read more

This Ross has the most selection and variety of items than I have ever seen before. It is huge! However, it was also very very packed. It made it difficult to leisurely look through the racks because there were so many people there. The lines were long too and parking took a while to find a spot. Overall, it was clean-ish and well laid out. If you are a bargain hunter, don't mind crowds, and have patience, then this is the store for you. read more

My Mom needed to get a dress for an event the next day, and the line to check out was unacceptably long. I didn't know there were places worse and slower than Walmart. Wow. I'm guessing the business model is the same. Not enough employees, so they can save money. I'll never return there, if I can help it. read more

Me ,my boyfriend, and his 13 year old brother walked into this Ross to shop . We wasn't greeted at all with a smile more of a disgust look from the Caucasian security guard and she kept talking on her headset while starring us down. Immediately another security guard stood beside us and followed us. I'm not African American ,but my boyfriend is. Now that I've witness racism towards them it's scary. She was very obvious of being racist because she didnt hide it. Her facial expressions on top of her body language indicated she didnt want them there. How can they be mistreated and the manager's not care. It's clear ROSS code of conduct rules out racism and that they coach these employees to discriminate against blacks. I told my boyfriend to seek legal action and lets go on the local news about this. Maybe other black people will come forth if they've been discriminated against like them! read more

This Ross is again improving it's selection, slowly but surely. No longer the spot for bags, their home items have recently caught my attention and there are deals to be found waaaaay in the back of the store. They only get 4 starts because it has among the worst floor plans ever and is difficult to navigate--especially if it's a big shopping day. read more

Good luck getting out without a long line I have left without my purchase several times when I wait more than 15 minutes to check out.

I just finished purchasing a large area rug at this store. Your employee and so called manager "Lee" was one of the most unprofessional and rude people I have encountered in my life. I was with my senior mother at the time and she inquired about the senior discount. Me being her daughter wanted to buy my mom a new carpet. The cashier stated my mom had to use her own credit card for purchase. I wasn't allowed to swipe my card alongside the discount. We agreed and my mom paid for it by cash. The cashier still went ahead to call a manager despite there being no conflict. "Lee" continues to abrasively tell us that what we did was wrong and kept rolling her eyes. Is this how you are supposed to treat your customers? Nothing wrong was done and we were scolded in front of several other customers. After her rant, she walked away without closing the conversation nor apologizing or even acknowledging that we were still there. On top of that, no one assisted to take this heavy rug out or help us carry it. Please be aware of the people you hire. I will never return to your stores and I will ensure my story spreads to all my family and friends. I will urge everyone I know not to go to Ross because of "Lee". I hope you are a company that takes action and recognizes that your customers should be treated with kindness and respect. read more

Ross at Waterford Town Center I wish they had lower than one star because I would give this store and negative star!!!! The Associates there are so rude and I hate to lump all of them together because there are a few and I do mean a few good ones but as a general whole this is the worst Ross store that I've ever been into the lack of consideration the rudeness the attitude overall General distaste for people and customers that's in that store is overwhelming!!! I don't think that they really care I've even contacted the customer service received a call back on it so it must go up the chain so how can I expect anything to be different management is no better they will argue with you they don't want to help you do anything the racks are so over cluttered that when you touch one item coffee store there's clothes all over the floor there are clothes that are so damaged that they shouldn't be on the rack because you couldn't possibly wear them!!! I know a lot of people like to go into stores like this for a so-called diamond in the rough well please stay away from this store go to other Ross's because this store is should be close down it's so bad either that or the majority of the Personnel should be wiped out and start fresh with people who actually care about their jobs because clearly that's not the case at this store!!!! This is not a new thing this is been an ongoing trend for the last 5 or 6 years and it's just gotten so much worse that it's not even worth going in there. besides that people they think you're stupid if you shop at other stores on sale you can get basically the same things you get at Ross and in perfect condition and take it back if you need to without arguing without any problems without the attitude without any looks!! There are some people that take advantage yes maybe that whole thing is a problem but look for the most part General people do not so don't treat everybody like we all do it!!!! I wish all department stores would look over the Yelp comments because maybe they would learn a thing or two about their stores!!! also maybe when they do look over they'll make Associates and management accountable for their actions in the store's!!!! Retail is retail people if you don't like retail please get a new job!!!! read more
