Where can you find an authentic taste of Charleston in Augusta? The Surrey Center of course. Okay…read moreit's not a "taste" as in food, but the feel and aesthetics of this store will have you thinking about King Street in downtown CHS. They carry everything you need from stocking the kitchen with fine china to any event you may have on the calendar. Bar trays, wine coolers, honey dippers, sterling silver, and much much more! Handmade products such as soaps and candles are available and then the surprise. They have a floral service as soon as you enter and if you can't find what you're looking for, they can get it for you. It is a great place for gift and personal shopping, but their primary focus is serving as a gift and bridal registry. I wish they had been nearby when I got married. Reward yourself and stop in soon.

I love spending time @arworkshop. There are only a handful of crafts that I have yet to make there…read more They offer fantastic classes where you bring wood to life with paint. While classes are great, I love strolling in on a random day when I just need a moment and I can create. They feature a Grab and Go Mini Bar and I love it because it's exactly what a gal needs when she wants to craft without a class reservation. You simply pick the project size, a stencil, and paint colors to create your work of art. You can complete this craft onsite or take home. My favorite part is the variety of stencils because even drawing a straight line is quite challenging for me. Group Suggestions: This is a great "I'm bored" activity that requires no planning and is inexpensive. Just be sure to check the workshop schedule online to be sure they're open for walk-in's. This is also a fun activity on 3rd Thursday's. Grab a snack from @ Sheila's before going to craft on those nights. Solo Suggestions: Wallk-in projects are great for those who are learning to navigate going on adventures solo. You'll always have a smiling face ready to help you and often chat with you. Most of the staff works in education so they're always excited to chat with taller humans. #northaugusta#SouthCarolina#yelpaugusta#csra#exploringthecsra#arworkshop#downtownNorthAugusta
