A few years ago I purchased some women's clothing from their catalog/online and the quality was good (given the premium prices), delivery was in the expected time. Unfortunately, three months ago, I purchased three pieces of clothing that I had specifically selected for scheduled events. I ordered in plenty of time to receive the items well in advance. The items were each sent separately, each literally months past my order date. They never sent any emails or texts alerting me to a delay. I kept looking at my order online and seeing the expected ship date moved weeks into the future, over and over again. No communication to me at any point. I called customer service repeatedly. The first person told me there was a delay because they were moving to a different distribution warehouse. I complained about lack of communication and she said she would alert someone more senior. Of course nothing happened. After I returned the first two items, I didn't need the third which was a matching piece. It was already listed as delayed another month or more. I called customer service to cancel that order. He said he would cancel it. I said I want to ensure my card was credited. He kept saying they don't charge until it's shipped. Sure enough, today, weeks later, this last item that I had canceled shows up. Now I have to return it. There is a return fee of $9.95 deducted from the credit for each item - even though it was their fault. I will never purchase from them again.,

When Heidner Properties acquired the Arboretum of South Barrington in 2022, we have witnessed an uptick in the abundance of new events, decor, beautiful new restaurants, retail shops & many more special events for day and evening entertainment. It's such a beautiful mall to walk around in & we cannot wait to see the ongoing innovations that continue to grow and become more successful each year. While the women shopped, I took a few pictures and posted them right away. For the few times I go clothes shopping with family, I know how hard it is to find petite clothing. This Talbots has one of the largest selection of Petites I've seen anywhere. Both found a number of things they liked. (And I have to admit, looked good.) We patronized, and found things; we paid (and got a $30 discount for joining their buying club). Then, it was off to dinner.

The cashier was very apologetic and I said not to worry, I will speak to the customer service online. I have to say, I felt very judged by the manager. She was rude and dismissive. She had no desire to speak with me at all, much less try and help me with the discrepancy. I purchased two tops, so I'm not sure why she was so bothered. It may have been because the shoe box with the shoes I returned was beat up, broken and had a rubber band holding it together. However, they were shipped to me in that state and I was returning because they were too narrow. I likely would have shopped around more if she didn't make me feel so unwelcome. One other thing - the clothes at this store are not that affordable. The quality is not THAT good to afford such a rude employee. This visit to the store was a big disappointment for me, as I don't live close by.

To the woman with glasses and brown hair-you just missed a big sale because she was ready to shop after a year and a half. First, no one said hello to her. There was the brunette with glasses and a blonde. They had floor set papers in their hands. My mother liked a top and went to the associate to ask if they had her size and the response was "There aren't any up there? Did you look? She went to look and said well there is this other size..." My mother asked if anything was in back. She described to me being interested in other items and at one point the associate was going to check the back for her, had a conversation with the blonde for a while, did not go in back and said no. My mother was feeling uncomfortable at this point and wanted to scope out the sale before leaving when the blonde yelled from across the store that the sale section was no longer organized by size. She said some other things but my mother didn't realize she was talking to her so the blonde started saying HELLO HELLO! ?! How rude is that to be talked to this way while you are shopping. No one told my mother their name. She had messaged me that she was going to Chico's and I was excited for her and then I got a text message shortly after that she was leaving. My heart broke because I know she was excited. Customers have a choice in where to shop and if you're short with them or treat them poorly from the start, you miss out on the sale. She will still get nice clothing from associates who are socially graceful and willing to help, but it won't ever be this location again. You have work to do ladies.

Both my friend and I felt incredibly welcomed and a lack of judgement. It was a refreshing experience and I don't know why I was surprised. Maurices makes cute clothes for a variety of body types and sizes, and they recognize that everyone has a right to feel fabulous. Sara hooked me up with a dressing room so I could free up my arms for my items. Another girl took the next batch and I was soon on my way to the fitting room to try on the 10+ items I found. While I loved everything, I narrowed it down and went to checkout. I asked the girl about the current sale (better late than never, right?!) and although none of my items qualified, she hooked it up with a $50 off coupon. Thanks for a great experience!! I visited to look at their shoe department for a holiday gift. Don helped me and I could not have nicer things to say about him! He got me a variety of bean boot styles, heights, and sizes to try on to truly see which I liked best. After my research was complete, he found us back in the store to have me try one more boot that had my preferred size, width, height, and was on major sale! He never applied pressure for me to buy and actually recommended I put it on a hold if I wanted to think about it. He made sure I was well informed of my options and went above and beyond for me. I ended up coming back Sunday and bought the boots! LL Bean has some great products where I've bought blankets, flannels, sweaters, and slippers previously but Don's service was some of the best I've experienced in a while.

There is also a Soma store at Woodfield Mall, but my favorite location is here at The Arboretum of South Barrington. The sales staff here are always helpful and friendly without being over-bearing or persistent. Be sure to check out the sales racks in back and join their mailing list to watch for rewards points and special coupons for even greater value. On my last visit, I spent around $60, but I had $35 in coupons. I also appreciate the good quality paper shopping bags Soma uses and often reuse, recycled or use them as gift bags.

She clearly was not ready to be on her own but they left her to take care of me for most of my experience. 1st she tried to tell me that I didn't purchase one of my bras there. (She didn't bother asking the associate that was training her, she just assumed because they didn't sell that particular bra in their store that it wasn't from Soma)The associate had to correct her. Instead of asking, because she had no clue, she proceeded to tell me that I could not take that particular bra back through the store, but that I needed ship it back and contact the company the way that way had purchased it. Again, the associate had to correct her. (The associate was in the back and I had to ask her to go and verify that I could not return it in the store) As I was trying on the bras they did have in stock, she took forever to find them. I love Soma bras but every single bra she gave me from one of their lines was misshapen, it looked like it was crushed. She not only made up answers instead of asking when she did not know, she had a slight attitude like I was inconveniencing her. Needless to say I returned 3 out of the 5 bras. I'm not going to pay good money for misshapen bras and bad service. I have not been back since and am still debating if I even want to go back and give it another try.

Today, that meant absolutely nothing. I sent my daughter money through Venmo to buy items for me. When I went to return them, the store refused to refund my card or offer any kind of reasonable solution -- even after I explained that my daughter now lives in Columbia, MO and I was just trying to avoid the ridiculous hassle of shuffling money back and forth. No empathy. No flexibility. No effort. Just a cold, policy-over-people "no." What should have been a quick, human interaction turned into a frustrating, disappointing experience that left me feeling completely dismissed as a customer. After years of loyalty, Duluth didn't just lose a sale today -- they lost me for life. Extremely disappointed.

Like many stores wanting to move merch out before new items arrive. Many items are priced aggressively, like 70 percent off, while some are 40 percent off. It's kind of a fun time too because there are Winter and holiday items priced low, but new merch for late Winter or Spring are just in and regularly priced. Clothing and apparel here is superior quality and made for long time wear. Last year, I found a women's belted trench coat here on sale for under $40 and I am sure I will have it for life. I must have been asked several times if I needed help finding anything and the store personnel are always friendly and helpful, without being aggressive. Bonus for being pet friendly, and having clean, spacious dressing rooms and customer restrooms on-site. If you bring your pups, It's a nice area to walk them outside, before or after you shop too.
