The employees from the manager to the staff have nasty attitudes. First and last time spending another dime in this store; unfortunate to bc they have decent items and we love to shop. I was surprised to find stuff I wanted at this place. Simple but ok. More money in my pockets, that's for sure.

Very understaffed, there were ten people in line and only one person on the register, who kept stepping away and causing the line to grow even longer. The slow pace also led to people cutting in line, which made the experience even more frustrating. The clothing selection isn't great either; I've only ever found one pair of jeans worth buying. Unfortunately this store is chronically understaffed, messy, and dusty. Today, I arrived at 9:11am to make a return for items I had purchased at another location. Though they open at 9am, the doors were locked and the workers avoided eye contact. I assumed they were just running behind because there were no signs to indicate that they would opening at a later time. I went to another store and came back 15mins later. This time, a small crowd had gathered in front of the store. A customer attempted to get an employee's attention yet, the employee walked by the door, looked at us waiting and kept walking. It's unfortunate because it's a large store with so much potential. I already stopped going there and today's experience confirmed why. read more

Went to this Ross to look for maternity clothes found this cute pair of pants went to pick them up it had roaches all over it. Ended up throwing it back and left, ladies and gentleman be careful with stuff you buy from this Ross it's a bit nasty. My mom went to use the bathroom while we were in the store and there was piss all over the toilet and floor as well. I LOVE ROSS! No one can tell me anything once I spot a ROSS because I just can't fit the urge to see what fabulous finds May be inside. This may be a new record but I picked up 8 things here in less than 30 minutes for a cocktail event I am attending next week. The variety and selection of clothing/shoes keeps me loving Ross FUHHHHEVVAAAAA (Cardi B voice). The prices are also definitely the best when compared to Marshalls and TjMaxx. Also, the customer service shown by the fitting room attendant was quite superb. She was diligent and kind to me when I asked her what I was searching for. I cannot overlook the cons of this ROSS though. As soon as you walk in, you notice that there needs to be a SERIOUS floor remodeling. The floor looks like it went through years without waxing or polishing. And when I went to check out, MY CART COULD NOT FIT THROUGH! My cashier kindly told me to place it back in the front of the store, but this is just a little too much arduous work for a shopaholic (cue back of hand over forehead). Would I be back? Terrible store. Very messy and annoying customers in line, lines are extremely long and takes so long just to get to cashier, people will purposely take long time at cashier just to make all other customers wait in extremely long line. Cashiers and staff who work here have terrible customer service skills and don't know how to work at a store, they're extremely lazy, stupid, unprofessional and don't care to help customers. Extremely disorganized store and messy too, they're too lazy to make the store more organized and better. When asking cashier or employees about an item, they just stupidly stare and don't care to help, they put no effort into trying to help, they just say "I don't know" and they rudely walk away. None of them care to help, they all just care about running their mouths with cashiers and other employees and not helping customers. And it makes no sense how long people purposely take at cashier line, purposely making wait in line longer. read more

First of all, I must say that this place always seems to have the best prices. I got my daughter 2 party dresses - one was $13.99 and the other $14.99. Incredible prices. That said, I have NEVER gotten through there without waiting in an incredibly long line - and I don't mean people-wise - I mean time-wise. (Insert scream here) Honestly, I think they must hire the slowest and most talkative people. The other discount stores open more cash registers when the lines get long. A novel idea. GREAT location for fabulous housewares finds! Also a really good selection of men's shoes, purses, and clothes. Store is well kept but they really need to work on staffing the registers. One cashier meant the wait to check out around 11:30 on a weekday morning was about 10-minutes. And what is up with not letting customers use the cart to get their purchases to their car?!? Next time I will bring in a Petsmart cart from the parking lot so I don't have to struggle carrying everything out. LOL! read more

All the 2-3 star reviews are right on point. This store is constantly gutted and a complete disaster. No sure what it is about Owings Mills. Most stores in the area are similarly kept up. So don't blame Ross. It's generally the area. I live here and we just can't keep anything nice. read more

Was here today for a dress to wear to my grandmother's home going service. I found exactly what I was looking for, which happens more often than not at Ross. There have been a few times when I have found absolutely nothing, and walked out empty handed, but that is rare. Whenever I'm in a pinch for an outfit, I count on Ross to come through. read more

It's a Ross...not much more to say. I always have high hopes but as soon as I walk in, I'm crushed. For the trouble it takes to park at this location, I don't know why I even bothered. 6/21/14 There is plenty of parking in the shopping center where this location is located. The store is ok. I am not sure what more can be said considering they are a discount store. They have plenty of items. From clothing to things for your home. The staff was friendly but looked miserable. Overall it was an ok experience. We were able to get some good finds for great prices. read more

Avoid at all cost!!! This store never seems to fail when it comes to poor customer service. There are never enough cashiers. Today there was a long line of customers with full shopping carts(as usual) and only one cashier. It was so bad the cashier made an announcement requesting that the customers remove their garments from the hangers to "speed the process"..Desperate! I saved them the trouble and left. Anyway, another time I was there a customer asked an employee,who was standing behind a cash register, if anyone was available to assist her with the watch case. The employee responded smugly that she "wasn't on the clock". First of all...RUDE! Second, it would only take a second to point the customer in the right direction. And, if you can't do at least that, then keep your funky behind in the employee lounge if you're "not on the clock", because your attitude sucks!!! read more

I believe they have new stuff come in everyday so you can go often and still see a wide variety of items. Sometimes the lines get really long so it's good to go at an off time, like during the typical work day. Always have dressing rooms available. read more

This place is a hit or miss. Sometimes they are overstocked with items and sometimes it's bare to the bone although I usually find a gem in ANY ROSS. The security guards are always friendly and helpful. The cashiers on the other hand..... I don't know what chip they have on their shoulders. One time I came to the register and the lady carried on a conversation with her fellow coworker and didn't even care to wait to see if the card even was approved. I had to grab my own receipt. Naturally I shouted out in a VERY sarcastic tone "WELL THANK YOU SOO MUCH." They are always in a "who's next" type of mood. Word of advise if you don't like working in customer service .... don't work in customer service. The cash registers are set up very weird the carts do not fitthrough each line. I was looking for an elegant, sophisticated maxi dress coverup for the pool. I found a "Just Love" brand 2/3 sleeve maxi dress in black with classic white designs bordering the neckline, sleeves and bottom. I'm 5'3" and the length was perfect, so no need for hemming. Cashiers there are never in a rush, even if there is a huge line of people. They basically have these looks on their faces like they are doing you a favor by getting up in a morning, coming to work and do their jobs. Rude! Unpleasant. So I love shopping at ross..and this complaint won't stop me. However, the customer service at this particular one was horrific, first of all don't call the next customer up to line when I'm still standing there getting my wallet together and grabbing my bags, I don't want to be over anyone's back nor do I want anyone else over my back,I need my personal space.
