I was super excited to find parking nearby. The stores interest, which is always a plus. Once I enter the security guard was there as usual to agree to that that's fine and beyond my surprise I saw they had a lot of furniture items as well as Halloween items for sale, which is great news for me and other customers looking for items for Halloween Coming up this year. The price at Ross stressful Less is usually so much cheaper than you go to a regular store than a discounted store so a regular store you're paying like mostly full price that discount price for the item that you selected. I highly recommend that you venture out to the short Avenue area not too far from Home Depot and Black Bear diner other places you should definitely check out if you're in that area and check out the attached photos. Ross is Ross. You visit for the deals. I visit for the deals. On that front I appreciate the quality of items and the price. I still own many things from Ross. This particular visit I was looking for a utensil set. I found one I liked with only 4 place settings, and they did not have a duplicate set. So I purchased, but then decided I wanted to go see what other stores in the area had available. I found a set that was 8 place settings at another store. So I went back, probably no more than 20 minutes after my purchase, to return the set I purchased. Waited patiently in the slow moving line. When it was my turn, I let the cashier know I just purchased and came back to return since I found a set at a different store. She said "okay, i have to check that everything is there." To reiterate how unopened this box was- she could barely open the box. But she still proceeded to open the box and get into the very very unopened packaging and tissue to check that every utensil was in the box. She opened to look and when she couldn't get a view, she took all the pieces (all still wrapped in tissue) out, and then was confused why there were only three utensils on some... I advised there were three front facing utensils on the packaging... But still kept going. Maybe I'm easily annoyed or offended, but honestly, the way she talked through checking all the pieces even after I let her know I had not opened it and purchased just a few minutes ago was overkill. She then said, "sorry, we have to show the cameras that we checked." But her style of checking was like she became suspicious at every step that I was returning an incomplete set, when ALL evidence pointed to the contrary. Including that she could hardly open the package herself and everything was still very clearly wrapped in tissue. I mean, I get it. We live in Fresno. Theft is abundant, but I did not appreciate the time or unnecessary energy this took. read more

Checking this place out. I wanted to get a holiday soap dispenser for December and knew they would have some. Greeted by a nice worker when I walked in. Music playing. Clean, safe and practiced. They have so much different stuff! I wasn't sure where to start. Lots of holiday stuff too! I ended up getting holiday soap, snowflake towels and dry shampoo. Great deals everywhere! Waited in line to checkout. Moved fast! Checked out and the worker was kind. Great service and store! Highly recommended! read more

5:10 pm. What a bunch of unhappy workers who could use some training! Security guard was asked to open a front fitting room and said, "go in the back". That sign clearly indicated closed, go in front. This was visible from his standing work station. Clearly his conversation with checkout clerk was interrupted because neither of them (males) was smiling or happy to help. Meanwhile female clerk in checkout area continued annoyingly popping bubble wrap. I noticed clothes on the floor. Messy dirty room and holes in shirts where security tags were placed. At check out I got no greeting whatsoever. I asked to look at the neck of shirts to see if mine had security holes. He gave me a dirty look. Put one shirt in bag without letting me look at it, so I had to remove it. The employees could learn to say hello and thank you. Maybe even stop chatting with coworkers long enough to pretend you want to be at work. read more

The store associates are extremely rude & negative, the two associates kept saying they're closed even though it was 20 mins until closing, a child walked in to stand in line with her mom and the associate started getting loud with her and telling her "WE'RE CLOSED!" For them being in a rush to close they took a long time to check out three people. read more

I have been a huge Ross fan for years they have quality Brands, great bargains and are always friendly and nice. I have shopped all the Ross Stores all around town because they have unique items in all sections of the store. I love Ross for Less read more

Had a lame experience here the other night. I'm actually a huge fan of Ross. They always have some good bargains and cool merchandise at discount prices. This Ross has a great dress selection and very nice men's selection overall, specifically for dress shirts and ties. I'm here usually about once a month. They have security (well, Loss Prevention) standing at the door greeting you (and with an actual SMILE!) when you come in and its nice because--unlike most LP's--I didn't feel like I was being followed. I'm sure he's learned how to master being attentive and watchful without being overbearing. That or either he just doesn't care about his job much, who knows. What made my experience lame the other night was when I got to checkout, it was like 8:45 on Sunday night and it was pretty dead in there. I was the only person in line. So I walked up, proceeded to set my stuff down on the counter, and the checker looked up from whatever she was reading, didn't greet me, didn't smile, and didn't move from the other side of the booth where she was standing. That's when I asked "Hi, are you open?" She looked up, said "Yeah" and again, looked down at whatever she was reading and said nothing else. I finished putting my items on the counter and stood there, no lie, for like a minute. That's a long time to wait when you're the only one in line and the checker is doing absolutely nothing. I get it. You work in retail, Ross at that, and it's not the best job in the world. It's 9 pm on a Sunday night, and you just wanna go home. But so what? Good service is good service and I expect it wherever I go, darn it. She then proceeded to begin a conversation with the LP guy and still hadn't started checking me out yet. I just stood there waiting like a fool. She finally started checking me out, didn't ask if I wanted to keep my hangers, and was sort of carelessly throwing my stuff in one big bag, which I had to ask her to separate for me. She kind of shoved my receipt at me, robotically said "ThankYouHaveAGoodNight" and that was that. Humph. This Ross also loses a couple of stars because they have some raggedy and missing items from some of their boxes, specifically their "as seen on tv" stuff. It sucks when you really want the item but it's broken or missing pieces and it's the last one they have. read more

First time coming to this Ross and it was amazing I found great deals ! It was organized and was easy to find what I was looking for.

Guess what ! Why do we need shopping in a big glamour center with such a big amount of money spending on there ? Or you can get some good quality stuffs with the " Can-not-be-better" items in Ross. I love this store. I know it is not for every shopper, you do need to do a lot of digging but I love it. The store is usually well maintained. A big issue is that damaged items are only discounted 10%, it could be very raggedy and still get like a dollar off. Ridiculous! Their selection gets picked over easily so i go almost weekly. Love it, just wish they would adjust the damage discount. And on busy days have more register back up. Sometimes it gets bad and they have no back up. read more

My clothes got taken out of my shopping cart and put back out on the floor while I was in the dressing room. The dressing room attendant and the manager denied putting my clothes back, even when I found them back out on the floor and showed them. The short blonde haired manager was very rude, didn't care about my frustrations and would not apologize or admit that they made a mistake. I spend hundreds of dollars there a month and I will never go back now. After spending an hour loooking through all of the clothes, I went to try on the 16 items I found. Since they only allow 8 items in a time, I had to leave some items in my shopping cart. They have you leave your cart outsidebtbe dressing rooms. The dressing room attendant directed me where to leave my cart. I tried on the first 8 items, liked 5 of them and gave the other three back. I then put those 5 items [4 shirts and a pair of jeans] in my cart and grabbed the other 8 items to try on. In my cart was also 3 pairs of mens jeans and 2 TV trays. I left my cart again and tried on the other 8 clothing items. . When I came back out from trying on those last 8 items, the original 5 items were gone from my cart. Everything else was still there. The dressing room attendant told me to talk to the manager because she was currently putting juniors items back on the floor, and that's what section my items were from. When I got to the manager, her go back rack was half empty already. I told her about my missing items while i was in the dressing room. She walked back with me to the dressing room area. The manager and the employee decided that another customer must have taken them out of my cart. I asked to watch the surveillance camera and they said there are none and there is nothing they can do. Very upset, I spent the next 20 minutes walking around looking in people's shopping carts to look for my clothing items. Then I decided to look back in the section where I originally found them and sure enough, there were the four shirts hanging right next to eachother, back in the junior section. I couldn't find the jeans, in the clearance section where I got them and began frantically looking around the store. Another 20 minutes later, I finally found my jeans in another section. I asked to speak with the manager as I was checking out. I was upset that I had to spend another 45 minutes finding my clothing items all over again. And I was upset they blamed it on another customer. I still very calmly told her that you guys must have put my clothes back after all because I found them and mostly together. She still denied putting them back on the floor. She kept asking why she would take clothes from my cart and put them back. I kept telling her by mistake. She was rude and said she'll never admit she did that because she did not. All I wanted was an apology for wasting my time and blaming somebody else. It had to have been either the dressing room attendant or her who did it by accident. When she refused to apologize or admit fault I told her I would never shop there again. Mind you, I spent $200 today. read more

My go to store in Fresno! Everything is pretty much organized. Men's dept has a great selection. Never been disappointed.

Since Ross is across the street from my house we always come here. They have lots of collections of junior clothes for any occasions. Prices of the items aren't expensive at all. Definitely coming back read more
