I normally dread getting fillings because of the needles, the numbness, and holding my mouth open forever. Recently I saw Dr. Rahman at Frisco Dental Studio for my fillings, and it was hands down the best dental experience I have ever had. Dr. Rahman is literally a wizard when it comes to administering numbing medication, and his assistant Imani was incredible too. I did not feel a thing. I was so comfortable, I actually fell asleep during my fillings. Yes, asleep. During fillings. That has never happened to me in my life. Their office is super clean, very professional, and they have some of the most advanced technology I have ever seen in a dental practice. My entire family are lifelong clients and we will continue to use Frisco Dental Studios for all of our dental needs. I highly recommend them. If you do not believe me, go try them for yourself.

It took MONTHS to not have pain daily after repeat adjustments and multiple temp crowns. I had a break so likely the trauma caused would have resulted in a root canal but I don't feel like they were conservative in their approach with me and my tooth was filed down to nearly nothing. Another dentist mentioned this could have caused the delayed healing and extended need for time to reduce inflammation. I have days even still that the tooth does not feel right. It's been about a year. That isn't a good feeling with having spent thousands on ONE tooth. This was my first crown and I have good teeth and hope to never have to be back in anyone's office for another but I have thankfully found a good dentist that I don't have to question.

They just laughed it off and said she was a temp. I'm sorry what?? I said why did I have a temp when my normal hygienist was there and I booked 6 months ago? They said I didn't have anything on my file requesting to "not have a temp". Well, I didn't know that was a thing! So, just make sure you request not to have a temp because they are not there everyday and I was humiliated by the one that helped me.

This office is the exact opposite: * They explain everything and even test tools (like the drill outside your mouth) first so you know what to expect * They actively watch your body language and check in if you seem tense or uncomfortable instead of pushing through * Even the numbing process itself is surprisingly easy (topical first + distraction techniques so it's barely noticeable) Beyond that, the level of care and education happening in the office from the full staff is just different. I've overheard dental hygienist conversations guiding patients on things like hydration and electrolytes, preventing teeth discoloration, and even thoughtful education destigmatizing cold sores with younger patients. It feels like a healthcare environment, not just a transactional appointment. And most importantly -- the work itself is exceptional. After two years as a patient, I finally replaced a yellowed and chipped front tooth filling I had avoided for years (um, decades?) because I didn't trust anyone to not make it worse.
