Thought the staff is pleasant haven't had any issues since going here. I don't like going to the dentist so this is big step for me.

This was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a dental…read moreoffice. A few days ago, I called to schedule appointments for myself, my wife, and our two daughters. I spoke with someone at the front desk who took all of our information and said she found appointment times that would work for all of us. After putting me on hold for about 15 minutes due to "system issues," she asked me to repeat all of the information again--which I did. Then, about 25 minutes into the call, she suddenly laughed and said, "I'm so sorry, I'm actually just an intern--I can't schedule appointments." She transferred me to her "boss." A few minutes later, another person got on the line and started the same process, running into the same issues. Then, about 7-10 minutes into that call, she also said (laughing), "Sorry, I'm actually just an intern too--I can't schedule appointments. Can we call you back tomorrow or the next day?" I'm not exaggerating--this actually happened. I called back today to follow up (the only reason I was trying to use this office is because they offer pediatric dentistry, whitening, and ortho all in one place). The phone rang endlessly multiple times. When I finally got through, I was routed to an AI assistant. I hung up and called again, reached someone who couldn't hear me, and then got hung up on. Calling back again led me right back to the AI system. At this point, I have zero confidence in this office's ability to handle something as simple as scheduling--let alone actual dental care. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I have been a patient at this dental office for some time, but unfortunately, I had a very…read moredisappointing billing experience that I think others should be aware of. In late 2026, I received a call that my regular dentist at this office had left and that I would be assigned a new dentist. I agreed to this as it sounded like a default and I had an ongoing relationship with the facility. What they did not tell me is that this new dentist was not credentialed for Delta Dental (out of network) - one of the largest insurance providers for dental services. I can go almost anywhere with my coverage. In January, I had a major service performed on my teeth. It wasn't until I received a check in the mail from Delta Dental to pay to the dental office on January 29, 2026 (which was not the standard process) that it was implied (after I called) that they "may be" out of network. Their lack of professionalism and transparency around insurance status and costs is going to cost me upward of $1000 unnecessarily and a lot of back end administrative work between my insurer and them to get them paid the contract price for the insurance share. If I had a clear choice between Dental Office of Prosper and any other dentist to save thousands, I clearly would have chosen another dentist. When confronted with this they said they would put a note in my file that I want to be advised of a network change prior to service (well duhhhhhh). When I expressed interest in not ever doing this again, they indicated that the doctor in question is almost credentialed and will be by the end of the month. I think this whole effort of secrecy on the dentist's major in-network status is a hustle to keep clients. I plan to make a report to: - Delta Dental member services - Texas State Board of Dental Examiners - Texas Department of Insurance I hope the office improves its insurance verification and communication processes so that other patients do not experience the same situation.

Everyone from the office to the technician to the Dr is amazing. So many friendly people I can't name them all! They helped me beyond what I ever imagined. They only needed a regular cleaning that would be covered with our insurance. My daughter texted me from the chair sharing that she felt uncomfortable when they insisted and wouldn't leave her alone so she left with no cleaning. They charged her $100 without her knowledge even though she told them she didn't want it. Husband was charged $300 for antibiotic to a tooth that he told them he was pulling out in a week at Dental Surgery. They didn't listen and still went ahead with it then $200 for a special cleaning they insisted. My other daughter was treated the same and charged $100. I chose another dentist after hearing this and was only charged $15 for my copay to do a cleaning and exam and received much better treatment. We have not received refunds back to our credit cards although we called over a handful of times. Read below and you'll see that other patients experience. I would not recommend this dentistry to anyone, there are many others that are honest and trustworthy.

The front office staff greeted me upon entering, and the facility is beautiful and clean. I was only in the waiting room for a few moments before they called my name. The dental hygienist Lily was very nice and very patient while recording the long list of my medicines. She did a great job explaining everything that she was doing and gave advice on how to prevent future problems. Afterwards, Dr. Patel came in and looked over my x-rays. He was also very polite and welcoming. he listened to everything I had to say and was thorough in ensuring he addressed any concerns. I would give this a 10 out of 10 they did a great job. It's a clean facility, has great staff, and I did not feel rushed at all. Also, they didn't try to sell me on any extras or things that were not necessary.

But my experience has been consistently negative that I do want to share so at least you know what to expect if you do end up going to this dentist. Ethically and morally do not recommend Prosper Smiles Family Dentistry. It has been my experience that this place values your money over your well-being. This is one experience out of multiple. I had an appointment at 9:00am. I received a call at 8:45am that I should not come in to my appointment until 9:40am-10am which I initially thought was fine. Things changed and it ended up being not fine. When I called to inform them I was scolded and threaten by the dentists wife/receptionist that with a cancelation fee, even though I was capable of making my first scheduled appointment if the times were not moved. Also! Payment is collected before you make eye contact with the dentist (even if you live local and can run and get a form of payment in less than 5 minutes, they will refuse to see you) so be sure to be prepared to pay them upfront or else they'll collect a down payment on the next appointment before you leave. Something that is again consistent to this practice value of your money over you well-being and health. I don't know, everyone has a different code of ethics and moral compass and this practices obviously does not align with mine. If I were you I'd rather drive 20+ mins to somewhere in Frisco/Plano than be treated like how I have been treated at Prosper Smiles Family Dentistry.

I am thankful, because I 100% picked the right office for my family and I and I have total peace coming here. I cannot say enough good things about this office. First off, you can tell immediately that Dr. Chandler is a really good person in general and cares about people. He is also excellent at what he does. He also does what's best for the patient, not just the minimum. (Even when a patient would never know the difference either way.) He has the latest technology that many offices do not have, which means faster dental appointments and injections are not always needed. He is great with kids and his entire staff is kind and helpful. I would highly recommend this office.. and this is coming from someone who values excellence in dentistry and patient comfort.
