I genuinely can't say enough good things about Prosper Family Dentistry, especially Dr. Summer. The…read morecombination of technical skill, attentiveness, and care has completely rewired my understanding of what a dental experience can be. I didn't even realize I was an anxious dental patient before coming here -- I just assumed all dentists were uncomfortable, dismissive, and something you had to "get through." This office is the exact opposite: * They explain everything and even test tools (like the drill outside your mouth) first so you know what to expect * They actively watch your body language and check in if you seem tense or uncomfortable instead of pushing through * Even the numbing process itself is surprisingly easy (topical first + distraction techniques so it's barely noticeable) Beyond that, the level of care and education happening in the office from the full staff is just different. I've overheard dental hygienist conversations guiding patients on things like hydration and electrolytes, preventing teeth discoloration, and even thoughtful education destigmatizing cold sores with younger patients. It feels like a healthcare environment, not just a transactional appointment. And most importantly -- the work itself is exceptional. After two years as a patient, I finally replaced a yellowed and chipped front tooth filling I had avoided for years (um, decades?) because I didn't trust anyone to not make it worse. Dr. Summer took time to understand my concerns, moved efficiently through the uncomfortable parts, and then approached the final result like an artist, carefully matching color and refining until it looked and felt completely natural. If you've ever felt hesitant, dismissed, or anxious about dental care -- this place will change your mind.

It took MONTHS to not have pain daily after repeat adjustments and multiple temp crowns. I had a break so likely the trauma caused would have resulted in a root canal but I don't feel like they were conservative in their approach with me and my tooth was filed down to nearly nothing. Another dentist mentioned this could have caused the delayed healing and extended need for time to reduce inflammation. I have days even still that the tooth does not feel right. It's been about a year. That isn't a good feeling with having spent thousands on ONE tooth. This was my first crown and I have good teeth and hope to never have to be back in anyone's office for another but I have thankfully found a good dentist that I don't have to question.

They charged her $100 without her knowledge even though she told them she didn't want it. Husband was charged $300 for antibiotic to a tooth that he told them he was pulling out in a week at Dental Surgery. They didn't listen and still went ahead with it then $200 for a special cleaning they insisted. My other daughter was treated the same and charged $100. I was given an estimate for treatment, and although I wasn't able to do everything at once, I never felt pressured or judged. They treated me with so much kindness and respect. During my procedure, Dr. Do was extremely attentive and patient with me, which meant more than I can say. I actually drive quite a long way to get to this office, and it is worth every mile. One of the best compliments came from a staff member. After I commented on how kind the doctor was, she said, "He treats us just as well as he treats his patients. That's just who he is." I absolutely loved hearing that. Love this practice and highly recommend them!

The front office staff greeted me upon entering, and the facility is beautiful and clean. I was only in the waiting room for a few moments before they called my name. The dental hygienist Lily was very nice and very patient while recording the long list of my medicines. But my experience has been consistently negative that I do want to share so at least you know what to expect if you do end up going to this dentist. Ethically and morally do not recommend Prosper Smiles Family Dentistry. It has been my experience that this place values your money over your well-being. This is one experience out of multiple. I had an appointment at 9:00am. I received a call at 8:45am that I should not come in to my appointment until 9:40am-10am which I initially thought was fine. Things changed and it ended up being not fine. When I called to inform them I was scolded and threaten by the dentists wife/receptionist that with a cancelation fee, even though I was capable of making my first scheduled appointment if the times were not moved. Also! Payment is collected before you make eye contact with the dentist (even if you live local and can run and get a form of payment in less than 5 minutes, they will refuse to see you) so be sure to be prepared to pay them upfront or else they'll collect a down payment on the next appointment before you leave. Something that is again consistent to this practice value of your money over you well-being and health. I don't know, everyone has a different code of ethics and moral compass and this practices obviously does not align with mine. If I were you I'd rather drive 20+ mins to somewhere in Frisco/Plano than be treated like how I have been treated at Prosper Smiles Family Dentistry.

Also didn't realize it's a franchise. Place seems very scammy - they take an ai wand and scan your teeth, they miraculously found 7 small cavities (Doctor did not confirm, they just push a dental plan to you) Doctor also says I need Invisalign, have never heard this one in my 40 years) also seemed salesy as when I said "I've never been told that once" he gave me some rehearsed lines of the "3 Pilar's of dentistry" and didn't really answer my question and then rushed out.
