Menu was a little confusing but the customizable options were appreciated. You really have the chance to get a combo of your favorite middle eastern foods. My combo meal with chicken shawarma and babaganoush was good. My pita was rather chewy and not my favorite. It should include two sauces with the combo platter.

Great local place if you want a quick bite that isn't subway or jimmy johns. The gyro wrap was satisfying, excellent sauce. I had the falafel plate, which came with fries but I should have asked for rice. Be sure to ask for what you want with a plate. Easy gluten free stop. Staff was no nonsense. Table was clean. Service was fast.

Solid marks on the flavor. The chicken Shawarma was very good as was the rice and other sides. The bathrooms were not very clean and the menu is a little confusing for a first timer.

The service was very friendly and since I was waiting for my friend to arrive to order, he encouraged me to take a menu back to the table and relax while I waited for her. The food is so wonderful and almost everything on the menu looks good. I love how the wrap was served and need to get one next time. It's a typical counter service atmosphere. Nothing special. But good enough. I will definitely go back.

Fresh, healthy, and large portions of food. WOW, on a short work trip and found this gem to be a short walk from hotel. The ambiance was so calm and peaceful, I was greeted by 2 nice gentleman, one who patiently answered my questions from the menu. My order was cooked fresh and bagged securely. This has to be a must stop restaurant when in PIT!

What a charming little spot for some great Middle Eastern food! I stumbled upon this hidden gem walking from Dollar General towards a bus stop and knew I needed to try it. The prices are great, and the food is truly authentic. I had my food within five minutes of ordering, and the staff was very welcoming. The warm and welcoming ambience mixed with the lovely soothing music, makes for the perfect atmosphere to tickle your taste buds and live in your senses. Vero was amazing, and some thing a bit different from the traditional. I will definitely be back if I am in the area! I'll be releasing a TikTok about the experience very soon, so go follow @sadiemcfarland1 for all things Pittsburgh food!

This is a small 'fast food' style restaurant. There are about ten tables. The food is very good. The falafel are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. I added hummus to my falafel pita wrap. It was delicious. We also got a chicken shawarma quesadilla. Yes. A quesadilla at a middle eastern restaurant! It was good, a little odd (cheese with shawarma....). Finally, got a gyro, replacing the tahini with cucumber yogurt sauce. Again, solid wraps. I'd definitely come here again. Great place for a quick bite before a ballgame!

Huge variety of Mediterranean and middle eastern foods in a variety of serving options. Service is quick and kind. I was on my lunch break and in-and-out in 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and had a simple but cool look to it. The kitchen seemed well organized and well staffed. I had kebab, fries, and baba ghanoush with a spicy sauce. Delicious all around. Will be returning soon.

The food was delish. The chicken schwarma was everything I wanted it to be. The chicken schwarma pita wrap had French fries in it. The salad had more onions than spring mix. The babaganoush was particularly zingy. I look forward to coming back here. I loved sitting in the window and people watching in winter. I was able to park nearby for free after 6pm on a weeknight and people watch everyone being cold in January.

Food is fine. The service is dreadful. Just took almost a half hour to fill my order. Won't be back.

The menu lists many meat, seafood, and vegetarian options, and the chefs can accommodate customers on gluten-free and vegan diets. Examples of menu items are lentil soup, babaghanoush, falafel, shepherd salad, lamb chops, many kebabs, sea bass, sautés, house-made desserts such as baklava, and non-alcoholic beverages. My husband and I ate one lunch here. Indoor and covered outdoor seating was available. The employees promptly greeted and seated us, and I appreciated that they recommended specific menu items to help me choose. After a reasonable wait, the foods were brought to our table. Here are my ratings for what we ordered: Grilled Shrimp - 5 stars - Several large, juicy shrimp were on skewers and had been perfectly cooked. Sides were mixed vegetables and a mix of rice and bulgur. Chicken Shish Kebab - 4 stars - The chunks of chicken were large and juicy and had a mild seasoning. On the side was rice pilav. Turkish Tea - 4.5 stars - This black tea was a good size and was served hot. Packets of sweeteners were available. The total price was $55 plus tax and tip.

It didn't surprise me when I entered the premises because it had an old school ambiance with chandeliers, white tablecloths, and personalized plates. Given how chilly it was outside, I didn't have any trouble getting a table without a reservation. It was a matter of moments after I ordered when a basket of presumably Turkish bread arrived with a house tapenade made with olives, walnuts, and olive oil (Photo 8). That was delicious and the bread provided a soft, absorbent vessel. For an appetizer, I went with the $11 Grilled Veggies which was a generous plate of zucchini, eggplant, onions, leeks, green & red peppers, carrots, and tomatoes. The flavors were enhanced by a marinade of herbs and balsamic glaze (Photo 9). It stretched into a side dish for my entree, the $35 Grilled Lamb Chops Kebab. Four plump, tender ones came with an order along with a side salad and a scoop of rice (Photo 7). I thought all the food was pretty good with the tapenade and lamb chops the standouts. I'd come back should Pittsburgh call my name again. The space is tiny and unassuming, and the restaurant seems to be a family run operation. The interior is much more nicely kept than you might guess based on the outside of the building. The staff were very friendly, and all of our food was well packaged. I strongly suggest taking a look at the "Persian Cuisine" section of the menu; in many cases, that section is more interesting than the Turkish grill. In terms of food, things ranged from excellent to pretty good. The hummus was good and nicely textured, but not exceptional. The kashke ve bademjan was excellent, particularly when paired with the nicely toasted flatbread it arrived with. The Mediterranean salad and Tabouli salad were both nicely done, with a nice level of lemon acidity and some shredded cheese on the side. The veggie kebap was fine, but generally flat in flavor: it really needed some of the sides and some hot sauce to fill things out. The red lentil soup was simple with a subtle spicing but ultimately deeply flavorful. The ash reshteh (noodle soup with beans and spinach) was generally good but would have benefited from toppings that would have probably been provided in a dine-in environment. All told, this was a nice little establishment with some excellent Mediterranean and Persian style cuisine. They seem to churn out some high quality food from what seems like a very small kitchen. I could imagine eating in or ordering takeout, but note that the interior space is fairly small with a limited capacity.
