I came here 3 times on the recommendation of a friend who loves this place. Each time was deeply underwhelmed, a feeling not helped by some of the outrageous prices! Nutella donut was cold and stale (this was around noon) though helped a bit by reheating (in spite of the somewhat surly server informing me it would be better at room temperature); mozzarella and tomato sandwich on yellow sesame egg bread was incredibly bland (bread was good, but I had to add a bunch of salt and pepper; would have added olive oil if they had it). Their chocolate brownie was....dry and terrible. Had an apricot croissant at a different location and it was also solidly mediocre and rather chewy. The one thing I had that I thought they did well was their blueberry white chocolate tart (still, very overpriced at around $7!) read more

A relative recommended this place for when I went to Miami and I was very disappointed and DISGUSTED. I don't consume dairy and I asked the employee if there was anything without milk or cheese and she rudely states that pretty much everything has dairy at this place. I was expecting that everything would have dairy but I did not like the way she responded. I ended up getting a soy latte, which was barely warm. Then, the worst thing of all. I sat by the tables where you are able to see how they prepare the pastries and there were flies EVERYWHERE. They also didn't wear gloves during the preparation of the food and on one occasion one of the employees placed a piece of bread directly to their face to smell it and passed it on to the others to smell. It sounds weird and I don't know what they were doing. This place needs to better their sanitary standards. Wouldn't come back ever. read more

Not great for my waistline but their pastries and coffee are superb. Staff is tri-lingual-Spanish, Italian and English and it's a great place to practice the first 2 languages. So the food here is great, but I live in South Beach and every time I come to any of their locations the problem I have is with customer service! The employees are NOT trained whatsoever. Example: I went in to see if it was possible to buy a gift card for my friends birthday (who I would see later that night). The employee wasn't sure if I could buy one, so she asked another employee who told her I could buy a gift card at the Collins location. I asked the same employee about the hours at that location, she had no idea. Okay, so I hop on a bike (annoyed) and ride over to the Collins Ave. location. I asked the same question, to which the employee said, "I don't know-hey so-and-so, can she use a gift card?" --No, I want to buy a gift card. "Ohhhh...can she buy a gift card?" "No she can't." --What? "Oh waaait, yes she can! But my supervisor isn't here, so I can't get on the computer to get you a gift card, you can come tomorrow". --But I need it tonight. "Ohhh, sorry!" End of story...what store doesn't have readily available and easily accessible gift cards for purchase?? What time are we living in again? Come on. The staff mention that 1hr before closing all goodies will be 50% off price! So come back! And I did, So I came back and bought desserts to take home. This is by far my favorite bakery in town! I can't skip a visit every-time I am in Lincoln road. The bombolone alla crema remind me when I was a child and on my way back from the beach my aunt will buy me one to keep my tummy from rumbling until dinner. The focaccia is soft and flavorful, the sandwiches are full of good stuff, and i particularly like the walnuts bread with speck and cheese. read more

I was in the area looking for a sweet treat and stopped by to this charming cafe! They had an assortment of snacks from focaccia and sandwiches to desserts. I chose the chocolate mousse which had a raspberry base and was topped with raspberries, blueberries and grapes and paired it with a latte. The mousse had a great texture and taste and the raspberry jam at the bottom was refreshing. The only downside was that it was a bit pricey ($6+ for a tiny cup of chocolate mousse). So the pastries here, so good! We had a spinach/egg/cheese flatbread which was really good and a bombolone filled with regular pastry cream. I would have liked more pastry cream, it was basically the dollop in the center and that was. With that said the Pasteur was a perfect texture, light, fluffy, great flavor even without cream. Would definitely have it again. The coffee was better than Shepherds next door but either are a good spot for good cup of coffee. The food really is delicious. We ordered a lot of things to taste. We ordered pizza (a veggie one as well as a meat one), 2 or 3 different focaccia breads and some desserts. All were delicious. While we went on a Friday mid morning and it was packed, the line moved quickly and they did a great job in getting our entire order quickly. We ordered three capuccinos and three panini type sandwiches. All the components of the paninis felt fresh and the bread was delicious. The coffee was excellent! Much better quality than Starbucks. They have some seating outside and I wish they had more. Also they have a LOT of traffic and it felt a little cramped. They should think about expanding. What a great little find! After walking the market, we stopped in here for a little snack before riding the Deco Bikes around town. The Bakery is sparkling clean with a huge spread.
