This store was poppin' they had wonderful charcuterie cones and some nice prosecco however nobody really "offered" it to me or welcomed me. I helped myself. I also pushed my way thru the crowd and quickly asked for help as I wanted to possibly make a custom piece. They ushered me to one saleslady who seemed to be really into her last customer and did not act like she had time for me. She picked out one piece and showed me and made a comment about my budget which we did not discuss so I'm not sure why. I ended up buying two pieces I saw on my way in and decided not to customize anything as I did not care for the service.

I was getting my toddler a snack before entering the store and I sent my mom ahead of me. My mom came back in tears. The sales woman stopped her gave her a snotty look and said that she need to put on a mask. That's not a big deal we were mask all the time. The way she said it was incredibly disrespectful almost guarding her from moving forward into the consumer-less store. When my mom fumbled through her purse to find one. She pointed to free masks with an attitude of clear irritation. I came back alone to speak with the manager who claimed she was in earshot, even though my mom said she was not in the store at the time. The sales woman I said she absolutely was not disrespectful in anyway when I pressed she said she was willing to apologize for any offense. Then the sales woman added to her narrative that she had told my mom she didn't have to wear a mask... which was a lie and also against their store's policies it seems. I can respect having your employees back. But the manager wasn't in ear shot. The sales lady lied. My mom wouldn't hear her out, she was too embarrassed. Stuff like this happens. We all have get in funks or have bad attitudes sometimes. It's not worth harping over and we all need grace sometimes. However, there are a lot of other places with great jewelry and I wouldn't go treat your mom to a shopping spree at Kindara Scott in friendly center and if you do put your mask on before you enter

Who can get lost in checking out all the goodies in a HALLMARK store? Me, that's who!!! LOL…read more I love visiting Gretchen's Hallmark in Jefferson Village! First of all, I could spend a considerable amount of time looking at all of the cards for various occasions. Hallmark is more than a card store, you know? I previously mentioned the word goodies and THIS Hallmark has tons!!! Knick Knacks, puzzles, cups, candles, you name it. This particular Gretchen's is my favorite because it is spacious and everyone who works there is so kind, helpful, and they do not HOVER!!!!! The next time you need a greeting card, check out Gretchen's in Jefferson Village! I never leave with just 1 card, it's usually several cards and items I don't need, but are too cute to resist!!! Oh, and when this Gretchen's has a sale....it's TRUE sale!!! Love this place!!!!

Upon entering there is hand sanitizer to use (if you want to pick up items). While browsing the shop clerk began chatting with us and mentioned after our tour of downtown to check out Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (about a 10 min drive out). Her recommendation was great btw. In short, this is the perfect shop to support a local business and pick up something memorable whether for yourself or someone you care about.

I found out later that the creator was her friend, Vikki Bright. Designs by Vikki B. is a small, woman-owned local business that specializes in making personalized items out of cement. Yep, my beautiful candle was not made of ceramic but cement. As you can see from the photos, Ms. Vikki's artistry is fantastic and her prices are very reasonable for the quality of work. I love walking past my candle and getting a whiff of the sandalwood fragrance. Everything she does is done locally, with passion and love, with her own two hands, which makes me want to support her efforts even more. The store has friendly employees at any time of day or evening, and it is open until 10 pm most nights. The thing I appreciate the most about this store is how well-stocked it stays. The stock is constantly maintained, and seasonal items are quickly merchandised. I can usually find anything I need here. It isn't the largest of the stores, but it is well maintained, and run professionally. This Dollar Tree store is Kiesha Speech-approved.
