I love this Goodwill location. I stop in from time to time and am never disappointed! The floor is always super well organized and the workers always strike up a good conversation! On my recent visit I was looking for fabrics for different sewing projects and found some good items! It can be a search sometimes, and the prices are definitely higher than they used to be, but it's still a good shop. I hate to say it but this Archdale store is my least favorite GW store to shop. It only takes several minutes to run through the clothing racks because they are so bare that one doesn't even need to pull the items apart from adjoining ones, only needing to walk down the aisle to check them out. Same goes for the shelved items. This has been the case for several years now. All the other GW stores that I visit are well stocked, sometimes to the point that they are jammed very close together. Most days I feel it's a waste of my time to go in there because of this issue. I'd rather go to the Thomasville store or the one on N. Main High Point. read more

today nov 18th i went to the store as i always do at my 30 min. lunch...the person at cash register at 12:10 decided to have a 15 min convo with someone that wanted to try clothes on that were hanging behind register........i have 30 minutes... i stood in line while the convo went on.... i finally checked out and only got a GTH look from the person with gloves and tats on at the register.. like i was rude ...so 20 minutes of my 30 minutes lunch went to standing in line with my one item and then dont get a thank you /KMA etc..... no more rounding off my 2.01 cent to the next dollar............... read more

I think if you are looking for some used women's clothing you are in the right place. Other than that, it comes up a little short. The store is organized well and clean. The household section was really bare. If you would have removed the holiday items that have been there a while it would have been REALLY bare. I did find one item to purchase. It was a good deal. The cashier was friendly once she got to the register. It was okay but I have visited much better. read more

Only return you can do is for electronics. So if you buy a coat for someone else, make sure you know the correct size because you can't return it or exchange it. And for some reason all the stores are not the same as far as what you can return. I have given a lot to goodwill and have spent some money in their stores all over but I won't anymore. Some ask $3 for a $1 item brand new. What a rip off. read more

I was just in the archdale nc store on main st and liberty rd and I had been shopping for a few shirts for summer and looked at some fall shirts they obviously had recently just put out on the racks up at the front of the store when I realized they were closing in about 20-30 minutes so I hurried to the fitting rooms to try on the shirts that I had picked out for myself but when I asked the attendant to unlock one of the 3 locked rooms so I could quickly try them on to see how they looked before purchasing them she screamed at me from across the store with an extremely rude attitude that she wasn't going to unlock one for me at all and that I wasn't going to take the buggy inside the dressing room that she was not going to unlock anyways. I shop at this goodwill on a regular basis do to the fact I live less than a mile away and so I know the rules about the buggy but why would she assume that I would be trying to take my buggy inside in the first place. I feel completely disrespected like she made me out to be a shoplifter or something across the entire store full of shoppers then when I asked her for her name so I can write this review she told me no after ignoring me 3 times when I asked her repeatedly for her name. She doesn't need to work in sales if she cannot be more of a people person than that. Who does she think she is talking to?! Rude b***h! For real if she continues to work there I will boycott goodwill. Oh and I checked another shoppers receipt and her name as on the receipt is GailG station 016-1. Unbelievable!! Never have I ever. Oh and I spoke to the manager on shift and she says she always closes the fitting rooms at least 30-45mins before they close. They should have signs stating this so people don't waist their time looking through all those clothes just to have to put them right back up because I'm not purchasing anything without first trying them on to see how they look on Me first. I had the opportunity to stop by this location yesterday and so glad I did! The store is medium sized and they have rows and rows of women's clothing! I mean, things just don't jump out, you must take the time to go through each rack. My finds: women's sorel boots, 9.99-you just can't beat that! New Halloween costume still in the bag for .99-the original tag from the store was still on the costume-59.99. My mom found a new pair of denim capris....lots of knick knacks in the back of the store. The customer service was great--I was greeted as soon as I walked in-welcome to Goodwill! I will definitely be back when I'm I'm the area! Well worth my time! read more

I went into this location today, around lunch time to look at tops. I picked out probably 15 or 16 items to try on, and ended up buying 6 of them. The store was nice, and the employees were considerate to everyone. The dressing rooms were also clean. The only thing I don't like about Goodwill (and this one was no different) is how the people here have zero sense of urgency. I understand that Goodwill is very communal, and a lot of the customers will come in regularly, but at some point it becomes annoying. The cashier spoke to every person she checked out for what felt like 10 minutes, was probably more like 5, but you get the point. I got in line at 1:10 with three people in front of me, and didn't leave the store until around 1:35, which made me late for work. That is my biggest complaint though, and hey, to some people that's not a complaint at all. I like all the clothes that I got.. I think I paid like.. 25 bucks for everything and that was one of the sweaters being almost brand new. All in all, I def. plan on going back, just sometime when I have more time. read more

This Is A Nice GOODWILL STORE, however the prices have really got ALOT HIGHER on Items That are donated anyway, The ladies at the store sometimes act as if it is a problem to take out jewelry to show someone who may want to purchase it. I agree with the previous reviewer. Their customer service is really lacking. Employees and manager think nothing of yelling at customers, and they act like it is too much trouble to answer a question. They will overcharge you if you do not watch your receipt. It is impossible to get your money back if you do not catch the mistake then and there. Prices have really gotten very high. A lot of the clothing is stained or has holes. This is difficult to see when you are in the store b/c the lighting is poor and they do not have windows that you can stand in front of. A lot of the knick nak type items are very dirty. Always bring wipes to this place. I think I will take this place off my list. It just isn't pleasant to shop there any more. There are much better places with better prices in the area, despite the fact that they treat their customers as though they were the only game in town. read more
