    Nice store!
    Steven K.

Lots of helpful people and this store is large. I have been to several and this one has more merchandise. For me I avoid the chachkies section. It's a bit too haphazard for me but if you like to peruse you will love this section. It has everything including odd stuff like 8 tracks or really old timey phones The place is a lot of fun to go with friends or just to buy clothes. They are super cheap. I shop for art painting clothes there

Receipt has all the information you need, but store is difficult to locate.

Found great treasures and clothing, etc here. They have went up in price, but still one of my favorite GW stores.

I love their vintage looking new dresses and their throwbacks. The store has a cute way of mixing the old with the new. They have one of a kind shoes sprinkled around the store. Oh my goodness and their collection of sunglasses is amazing! Their decor is so chic. Upstairs has a great selection for men and vintage wedding dresses. I enjoy looking at the nostalgia. I think they are priced for the uniqueness of the items. So, I think the pricing is fair. If you are a costume designer or fashion forward person, you would love it. If you live by the beat of your own drum, you would also love it.

She looked like a pretty doll!! JDean is the cutest, with his southern-charm! One unique feature about this boutique is the beverage station in the back (see photo). There's even a "chill lounge" where you can sit, sip, & chill. I was really feeling the ambiance and the music being played through the store, so I really enjoyed strolling through and looking at the variety of items. It was cool to see a men's section because you don't normally find that unless it's in a"men's consignment shop". There is SO much to see in this store. It's hard to take it all in and write about it. You need to go check it out!!

I wish I had gotten to know her. Years ago, I went back to her shop. Mrs. Gray had died years before. Her shop was now a kind of exhibit place, and it was still filled with an incredible collection of "stuff" - toys, lunchboxes, wigs, figurines, buttons, everything you can think of - and lots of it in bins classified by color like a big bin of red toy cars. It was overwhelming and a lot of fun. I think the grand daughter or niece of Mrs. Gray was my friendly hostess in the store. I was allowed to roam the store freely - alone, stunned and amazed. They had named the place Elsewhere and there was some sort of organized group connected to the place. I got on their mailing list and sent them a contribution. Some years later, in 2014, I returned to my beloved hometown, Greensboro, for a visit. An old friend of mine and I walked the length of Elm Street, starting at the few blocks leading up to the Jefferson Standard Building - heading toward Lee Street. I relived many memories of my youth, my "hippie days" (circa 1967) and my working class hero days on that walk. We stopped in a lot of shops and the clerks and customers were friendly and seemed to like us. We supported those shops by making some purchases. It was quite a pleasant stroll. We reached Elsewhere. I hadn't been back there for decades. The people there were very full of themselves. They seemed suspicious of us, two traditional looking white old guys. I guess that was it. I've been around and I can recognize people who are too hip for their own good. They were entirely unwelcoming. I got the feeling that they wondered what we were doing there. They treated us like we were shoplifters or CIA. We wordlessly left the place. It was very disappointing to me. I did not send another donation.

Today I purchased several items, including a $900 couch. I live 7 miles away and the delivery charge for any distance up to 15 miles is supposed to be $80 (per the employees). The owner, Maria, told me my area would be a delivery charge of $150, because the "distance was far." She said she'd "discount" the delivery to $100. When I clarified the normal price with the employee, she suggested I talk with Maria again. I showed her my phone, with Maps open, showing a distance of 7 miles. She grudgingly agreed to $80 as if it was a favor. When I got home, I realized the couch was too large for the area in my home. My fault for not measuring, but since the couch hadn't left the store, I called to ask if I could cancel the sale. Absolutely not, the employee said, she "never gives refunds." When I spoke with Maria at the store, she said I shouldn't wait to purchase the couch, because someone else would buy it since, "it's such a nice couch." I spoke with Maria on the phone and reminded her of that statement, but she didn't care. NO REFUNDS FOR ANY REASON. She offered to consign it for me (!!!). No thank you. She said "I can refund you the delivery charge, that's it." I agreed to take delivery of the couch and put it in my basement, while I try to sell it to someone else. After it was delivered, I called to ask when the delivery fee refund would be processed. The employee was in the process of doing the refund, when Maria said no, they weren't going to refund the fee after all. She claimed she was offering to refund the fee if I consigned the couch with her. I reminded her that was not what she said, at all. Regardless of her failure to communicate, she still refused to refund the $85 ($80 + tax). As many consigners have stated, customer service is non-existent and as I found out today, the owner is unethical.
