I didn't encounter excessive dirt or grime, and the station smelled lightly of disinfectant/cleaner. + While the vibe on Saturday morning may not be indicative of all days and times, I felt no safety or security concerns. Thus, while I may not use Linden very often, it does a fine job as far as train stations go. Having screens on the platform so passengers know how long to wait is all it would take to go from a four to a five.

One of the oldest stations still in operation, with the station made mostly of wood. Good views of the neighborhood from up here and it doesn't smell bad with the fresh air. There's often delays, which is the only bad thing. Hipsters catch the train here. It serves the Blue Line. There's a shitload of bars and restaurants. Always busy. Lots of Instagramming motherfuckers. As for the station, it's a classic. This is my most favorite other than the Quincy station. Both have old wood paneling. There's actually a charm about it, which you can't say about most stations. Lots of places around here to drink and eat. There's a Stan's Donuts right next to here. Busy intersection. There's lots of buses to hop on. Because trains are coming here from O'Hare, there's often delays. It's the biggest complaint about it. There's lots to check out in and around this if waiting.

The platforms really look similar, and are pretty easy to navigate. There is usually a staff member in the help booth and they're pretty nice if you're confused (I had to ask one of them a question the first time I rode the CTA). Overall, I think the number of stops/lines available is pretty good; it's not quite as good as NYC or other countries e.g. Seoul, SK -- but if you're staying downtown for instance, you can get around pretty easily and to/from the airport with minimal walking to get to a nearby station and either connect to or go direct to the airport. I'm very glad the CTA is available as an option for visitors and folks who live here since parking is paid almost everywhere, and definitely limited (especially downtown!).

This is between the Grand Avenue and Clark/Division stations. Inside there's kind of a bad odor and there's a few sketchy people but that's typical stuff around. There's plenty of other stations you can get to from here quickly. Has a shitload of shopping as if you didn't know. It has some fast food like McDonald's if the hipster food is too high brow for your tastes. The best thing about this station is no long waiting.

It's a nice train station that is situated in an energetic, walkable neighborhood. We had spent the afternoon exploring Lakeview, and were heading back to our hotel near Michigan Ave. We caught the Red line from here and got back to River East. Clean station and well-monitored. Chicago has a great public transportation train system.

Also, overhead heating is opposite the benches, and thus also very limited. Otherwise, Belmont is great! It is extremely well lit, easy to navigate, wider than the average El station, and fully accessible. There is sufficient cover from rain, and ample signage on upcoming departures/wait times. Now, while as many of its colleagues, it too could benefit from an extremely thorough pressure washing, the station is generally clean and void of debris. Finally, while I don't frequent Belmont after midnight, the times I've been here during the day or late evening, I've not encountered any unsavory characters. Thus, while not immune from some problems and quirks, Belmont is one of the better stations on the El.

Gotta love the advertisement as I'm traveling in Chicago from the West loop area for matcha yes and I'm SO lucky to have Terry K and Kyra K for the navigation as it's usually on me to do so it was so relaxing getting around. We did get to Chicago Station riding the 66 bus with a short walk but as this will take us to our destination of the South Loop area. I've said it before the CTA system very much reminds me of Japan rail as well very similar in accessibility and convenience of use with lots of signage and reminder of each stop. Thank you!

Gotta say, I've flown through O'Hare twice and this second time was actually pleasantly surprising…read more-- despite how big the airport is, the efficiency is pretty good! It took me almost no time to check in and get through security then get to my gate because the signage is posted up well. There are several food courts throughout the place too so it's easy to find a place to eat. I really had no trouble, and the bathrooms were fairly clean too. Compared to some other big/hub airports that really have a lot of issues (e.g. the Vegas Airport), O'Hare is actually doing a pretty good job.

All these things are basic essentials in this day in age for modern public transportation in a major city. I can appreciate the importance of having the service readily available and accessible to the public, but providing guidance and safety to all who ride these trains should also be the importance of the administration that operates them. The Chicago transportation Authority needs to do better. I'm a bit disappointed in the conditions of these trains and how they run.

A section of 55th Street east of Western Avenue is called Garfield Boulevard. The west end of this bus route is the Midway Orange Line at 4612 W. 59th St. The east end of this bus route is at 57th and Hyde Park Blvd. (1700 east).
