My brother and I booked a trip with BriteLift fairly last second to transport our father who is in a wheelchair from Chicago O'Hare to a local nursing home. The driver arrived pretty quickly after I called the number once we got our bags at the airport. There was some confusion as to where to meet-up and about a taxi booth that I had to go to in order to provide approval to pick up a person in a wheelchair. It was hard to hear at the airport which likely caused some of the confusion. But overall we were pleased that the driver showed up quickly, did a nice job of getting my father secured, and got all of our luggage into the minivan. I would use them again in the future if the need arose. read more

BriteLift has been such a blessing! It's great to have kind and reliable service. They called 10 minutes prior to arrival (per my request) and arrive on time if not early every time. We've used them a couple of times already and found them after our original rides through MTM service never showed THREE times. It was heartbreaking, grandma was really needed her stitches out and be seen for her follow up appointment post surgery and had to keep making new appointments for three weeks with that other nightmare of a service! Also, check to see if you can call your fire dept non emergency for assistance down the stairs. They don't charge and if you have someone who cannot get down the stairs safely it's really a great way to do it. 5 stars well deserved! read more

The first few times the service was perfect, my sisters and I were thrilled to have a seamless pre booked, prepaid wheelchair transportation solution for our Mom. But that joy quickly turned sour and traumatic...from late arrivals to no shows & cancellations to vans so unfit that my Mom was getting car sick. They still owe me for $160 no show!!! but I completely gave up calling & calling to try to get my refund. We have since moved on to uber wav and lyft wav, they're not available everywhere but we can easily check ahead of time to prebook and the best thing is, they're RELIABLE and 1/3 of the cost of BriteLift!!! read more

This company is a TOTAL RIPOFF. They say I didn't show up for a ride. I don't believe that is true. However, even if it is, the ride would have been less than $20.00. Instead, they charged my credit card $80. This is a TOTAL SCAM. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company like the plague. read more

I have never experienced such terrible customer service in my life! I called to share that the driver came at the wrong time (30 mins difference then what we were told). Due to my daughters disability she can only plan for the time stated and the owner Marge wouldn't even let me explain! She was very rude and spoke over me and said she didn't have time to listen to what happened and that my daughter needed alternative means to get to school now. In a business that deals with the disabled this is not acceptable. Customer service and communication are critical components to good service. Save yourself time and a headache and go with a service that is on time and friendly! read more

So I'd give everything from when the driver arrived until he returned us to our hotel for the night a 4 out of 5 s. Edwin was our driver for the night and he was just Great! Booking was Very easy. The only problem I really had was when our original plans changed and I called to push back our wait time. I was under the impression that for the amount I was being charged (not per hour but per stretch or trip/distance and was approximately $180 total. West Loop hotel to United Center 1.5 miles, after show United Center to Rock Bottom Brewhouse 3.5 miles and then Rock Bottom back to hotel 1.7 miles) meant he was going to be available to us all evening as per the RSVP agent 2 days prior. We needed to push our pickup back another 45-60mins. Person I spoke with said it couldn't be done in that time frame and was going to have to be another 15-20 mins on top of our request. I did not understand this since he was already assigned to us from 5pm. So there was no one else he needed to attend to. Then during that wait time I received 2 calls from dispatch both were 2 new people and they all said something different. We wanted to arrive at the U. C. At 6pm when doors opened. Show started at 7:30pm. I was on a scooter. We were let out right about 7pm and by the time we got inside to the box office will call tix, were personally guided to our seats as they were on the floor and got seated it was 7:25pm. We were completely stressed out over our arrival time. We didn't get to do a couple things because of our late arrival. The rest of the night was great. We did have minor issue at pickup from U. C. It had nothing to do with transport or the driver but security not letting them into the same area to pick us up as they did for droppong us off. Like I said the driver was not at fault there. It could be cheaper for sure but you wouldn't get this service from cabs, buses etc. Tip IS INCLUDED in the cost so that is something positive in comparison to other transportation. I still give the same number of s but I guess I would like to know how their operating expenses vs charges breakdown. All that aside the experience was a great one and if I needed to use them again I most certainly would. Highly recommend them for accessible transport when you want to avoid driving yourself, parking fees and such when going into the city. read more
