He answered all of my questions. Picking the flooring was painless... I went with tile, new carpeting and new baseboards. The next step was Mike coming to my house and taking measurements and walking through the current flooring. This was a quick process, and he wrote the cost sheet up. In my opinion, the pricing was fair and I paid the required half up front. The job was quoted at 3 days but took more like 11 days. The crew was ran by Terrance Brooks. One thing I will say is important is who is in your home. You will be spending a lot of time with the contractors. Terrance and his crew were punctual and communicated with me well the time they were here. I had a great experience with DFW Flooring and Mike Spitzbeg! They really took the time to listen to my needs and provided a personalized, thoughtful approach. Even though the project took longer than originally estimated, Terrance Brooks and his crew did a great job!! Our install was not the best experience due to the distributor cancelling our order for some…read morereason. We picked out our flooring two months in advance, and Abraham said that the distributor must have assumed that it was canceled because the install was not until two months later. I did not hear from them in the weeks leading up to our install so I called a week in advance to see if we were still good to go and they assured that everything was still set for the date we picked. Anyways, my husband had taken the week off of work and they only had enough engineered hardwood flooring to do one room. They went ahead and did the carpet in the bedrooms by Friday of that week. They didnt start on the rest of the house until the following Monday. So we had to takeoff work again, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The workers showed up on time on Monday to rip up the flooring. They didn't show up until noon on Tuesday to install the new flooring so they were still working up until 8 o'clock that night and were still not finished by that evening so they had to come back out Wednesday morning to finish. Needless to say this drug on for almost 2 weeks with our house being turned upside down, not being able to get to our stuff or Cook in our kitchen. I requested that Abraham hire a cleaning service to clean our house because we both had to go back to work and didn't have time to put it back together until the following weekend. He agreed and he did send someone out the next day and they did an impeccable job cleaning the house and getting rid of the dust. I will say had the distributor not canceled our order, we probably would've had a better experience and it would've been done in a timely manner. I think that it's a reputable place and they're honest people. They could work on their communication skills a little better. Would I recommend them again yes because overall the work was good and they did try to make it right after the mistake happened.

What were we to do! We went first thing in the morning to Mr. Evans and explained the situation. We tried to select another carpet from his in store stock to no avail due to that large quantity and specific color required. He suggested that he could order another carpet from his suppliers. However, we needed the facility to be ready for our December 31 Church launch and the earliest possible delivery time frame was into the New Year. I reluctantly asked Mark Evans if we could cancel the order. He immediately answered, "Sure" and proceeded to refund our deposit without a hint of annoyance. In addition, he selflessly gave us some very important advice. While we were not able to buy our carpet from Evans Carpet this time due to time constraints, color and available stock, we will definitely use Evans Carpet in the future and recommend Mark Evans to others.
