I have been going to this practice for over 40 years, starting with Dr. Koussis, and my husband started when he was a teenager. But we are regretfully leaving the practice. We do not have insurance, and my husband was recently charged $3,400 for 2 root canals which took a total of 1 hour to complete. How can that possibly be a reasonable charge? I miss Dr Lieberman. He was the best. The other dentists there are only worried about their money. Charged me $500 for a reline of my denture and it still doesn't fit. Then proceeded to tell me I needed implants , and never offered me my money back for dentures that have to be glued in all the time. Dr L told me not to get them because I did not have enough bone to hold them. This place is a joke. I had an appointment at 1:45 PM on 4-29-24, and I sat in their waiting room between 30 - 40 minutes to be called back. This should have been my first sign of bad things to come. Then, when I am finally called back, I am asked if I had my previous dentist fax over my (Full Mouth) x-rays. This confused me because when I made my initial appointment, Rose Tree Dental said there was no need to have them fax these over, because we learned that over a year had passed since my previous ones. Someone didn't make a note of this, or they didn't read the note if there was one. Then, after being seated in the dentist chair and fitted with my bib, I was handed a clipboard with all the forms that I had submitted electronically to them weeks earlier. When I showed the lady the e-mail I received from Rose Tree Dental dated 4-9-24, which contained all the green check marks confirming that these forms were submitted and received, she smugly responded by saying, "Well I don't know where all those forms went, but we cannot find them - so you will have to fill these forms out." I became upset over the fact that all the forms that I had previously completed and submitted - with all my private information are out there in limbo - and Rose Tree Media couldn't care less where they are. Additionally, even if I didn't complete these forms (which I did) - why wouldn't they have asked me to complete them during the 30 - 40 minutes I sat in the waiting room? Instead, they wait until I am stretched back in the dentist chair - awkward time to pull this stunt. I became even more upset at Rose Tree Dental's lack if professionalism, their disorganization, their apathetic attitude towards the whereabouts of my personal information, and the lady's smugness - so I got up and left. What a mistake coming to this place. Let me guess, they will try to bill my insurance for this tsunami of incompetence by calling it an "office visit." Let them try because I already called my insurance and lodged a complaint and advised them of these clowns. read more

I thought it would be great. Bad day, I went in Wednesday, same thing as another review, even though I answered all the questions online, they gave me the clipboard again. I saw Dr Hinman, he was awesome, confident, I felt he could help me. They charted my teeth and amazingly gave me a hygienist appointment for Friday. I turn down some freelance work for Friday, excited to finally get my teeth cleaned. I get in the office, the hygienist starts asking for my previous xrays, apparently Wednesday's were incomplete. Then she starts about my perio needs and wants to chart my teeth vs clean them. I mentioned the actual dentist just did that and was willing to do a hygiene plan, so we could also do an extraction. I get that my mouth is a wreck but nothing hurts. Part of the issue is that it is tough to get a hygenist appointment always months out. Funny even at Aspen that hygienist couldn't even clean my bridge cause he didn't have supplies, but I digress. Here at Rose Tree the Hygienist said that the Dentist was wrong, that my condition was more serious, really? nothing bleeds. I asked if she was going to clean my teeth? she gave me a smoke and mirrors story about my insurance not covering other work if she did. Really how can a teeth cleaning cause harm? Love this practice. The women at the front desk are so friendly. My Hygienist Krissy is awesome and Dr. Rosen is tops. I really appreciate his honesty. Previously I went to a dentist that was always trying to upsell me and recommend expensive procedures. Dr. Rosen will explain the options and many times perform a small fix at a much lower cost. I have been to several dental practices over the years and this one is the best one I have encountered. Highly recommend. read more

We still go here - and my kid is now a teenager. She got braces here (invisalign Teen), retainer afterward and gets cleanings twice a year (assuming no cavities.). We love Ashley (hygiene) and Dr. Alex. Linda and Maryellen (??) at the front desk are great, too. However - we can't give them five stars because their hours are sooooo limited. No Friday afternoons. One Saturday per month. No late evenings - maybe one day per week they might stay past 6. For a working parent, it is not convenient. But now that ortho is over, we can make it work for 2 cleanings per year. read more

I had called to speak with Dr. Rosen and was told he does not speak with patients. I made an appointment and then was told to bring cash in because of no insurance. Actually, yes, I had insurance but it was with a new carrier. Instead of asking me If I had new insurance, I was left a text to bring cash if I wanted to see Dr. Rosen. Again I called. I left three messages for him to call me and office staff would return my call telling me I cannot speak to him and must come in with my cash. I saved the text because it is so unbelievable. I sent several people there through the years and will make sure they do not go back!!!! His staff run the business and are unbelievably rude. It's a shame since he is what I thought to be a good dentist. Why let complete and utter ignorance rule the roost!!!' read more

After avoiding the dentist even for cleanings for more years than I care to admit (no, I'm not gross; yes, I have severe dental anxiety thanks to many prior horrible experiences), I decided to start acting like an adult and go get my teeth checked. I chose Rose Tree Dental mainly because they were the first name I thought of; my cousin used to own a dance studio in the same building. I don't have dental insurance but they accept the Aetna Vital Savings plan, which I do have. Another plus. Anyway, I called and made my first appointment, and it was clearly explained to me that the first appointment would be just an exam and a full set of X-rays. When I met with Dr. Lieberman I was so impressed. He was friendly, thorough in his explanations and never once made me feel guilty for neglecting my dental health for so long. It turned out I had one cavity and it was recommended that I go with root scaling and planing. I had my cavity filled the week after my initial appointment and yesterday had my final quadrant scaled/planed. Julie, my hygienist, is fabulous and so much fun to talk to. Even Dr. Rosen, who isn't my dentist and has never met me, says hello to me every time I'm there. Charges are comparable to others I researched and all in all I could not be happier with Rose Tree Dental. I plan to stay a patient there for as long as they'll have me. read more

Sad, not the practice it use to be. After almost a decade as a patient, new office manager and protocols have been put in place to drive up revenue at the expense of patient. I went in for a cleaning and never got one and they refused to schedule one. Instead, the pushed a full set of X-rays on me and a doctor visit and referrals to their friends/kickbacks. Same happened to my husband. Extremely disappointing. They are calling it "new protocols" for better patient care. If that is true, we must have been getting subpar patient care for the last 10 years. Horrible no matter how you look at it. read more

While visiting family from out of town I needed a dentist to replace a temporary filling that came out while having lunch. My sister called to make an appointment for me and they were able to accomodate me right away. The office is modern and spotless. The staff (receptionists, assistants and billing) were all pleasant and friendly. I saw Dr. Rosen who gently applied temporary cement to the tooth and then had to grind it a little to smooth out the bite. I was painlessly in-and-out in minutes and the cost was more than reasonable! I highly recommend Rose Tree Dental Group - particularly Dr. Rosen. read more

Unfortunately this office has gone DOWNHILL. It used to be so warm and welcoming, the woman at the desk for kids and Ortho was lovely. They had a real family, small office feel. Ever since they reopened after covid it seems to be under new management and we have not had a good experience. The last few ortho visits for my son we were quoted a different balance for his braces every time. Last month I finally insisted on speaking to someone, and I was texted by the financial director that I owed 3 payments- which was agreeable. But lo and behold, at our visit today to get my son's braces off, I was told that we owed Four payments. Even though I had IN WRITING FROM THE FINANCIAL DIRECTOR that it was 3. She claimed there was some sort of mistake with the billing system. On the dental side... I called to reschedule a Monday appointment in January, and was told they only see kids on Wednesdays- so nobody would have been there if we had gone, and we weren't notified of the change! When I asked to reschedule I was told the next appointment was MAY- so my children would go almost one year without being seen. I said no thank you. I don't know what has happened to this office but we will not be going back. read more

I am a big fan of Rose Tree Dental Group. I found them 10 years ago when I moved back to Media from Colorado. My son needed an appointment. I looked up who was in network and they were the first group that I stumbled across but I am so glad that I did! Dr. Mucklow was the pediatric dentist at that time and he was phenomenal. Super patient and wonderful with children. Since then, he has retired but they have replaced him with an equally phenomenal Dr. Alex! Our family only use Rose Tree Dental for our dentistry needs. Dr. Lee is the Orthodontist and we have had a great experience with him. Linda at the front desk is so nice. I also see Dr. Lieberman downstairs. He is very personable and informative and even the hygienist are great! The only reason I did not give the practice 5 stars was because of the limited evening and Saturday appointments (like another review suggested). read more

The office manager and hygienist are great, but the dentist is positively awful. My three kids have been patients for three years. My special needs 5yo recently upgraded to the "big kid" procedure and struggled with the cleaning. The hygienist was so patient and calm but I guess he was taking too long so the dentist jumped in to verbally abuse him and then abandon the attempt instead of letting me try to calm him down and finish. She was unnecessarily cruel to a little kid who tried his best. We'll not be going back. read more

I hate to write a negative review about any office practice but I feel I have a duty to warn others. My 7 year old daughter had been seeing Dr. Alex for about 3 years. Dr Alex started finding cavities about 1 year ago. First cavity was incidental on an x-ray as she had no symptoms. It didn't go smoothly but my daughter got through it. 6 months later Dr Alex found a 2nd cavity and filled it. A few months later, the filling fell out, so we had to return to Dr Alex for a re-do. Mind you this is the third filling in a year. Usually Dr Alex uses a giant rubber suction that covers the entire inside of the mouth, but this time Dr. Alex stuck a clamp (yes that's right - a metal CLAMP) in my daughter's mouth to keep it open. With that thing in her mouth she had trouble with saliva build up, and they kept telling her to "just swallow." I'm pretty sure having your mouth propped open with a clamp would make it difficult to swallow, and in their rush to get the filling done, they wouldn't suction the secretions, so of course she started to choke. Not only that, they had her reclined so far that her head was below her chest which didn't help that situation. Naturally she tried to sit up, but they physically HELD HER DOWN. She was actively gagging and trying to clear her airway, so acting on instinct I sat her up myself so she could cough. I was then told to leave the room because *I* was somehow causing this to happen instead of their incompetence. At that point I left with my child. I took her to my own dentist (Media Smiles) and kiddo breezed right through without incident. No weird clamps, no giant rubber mouth systems, just a dentist with a calm and pleasant demeanor was the key. Unfortunately my insurance would not pay for the filling replacement because Dr Alex had already done it earlier that year and they wouldn't pay twice. Despite this, I am relieved to no longer be in that practice. I definitely got a sense of a cavity "churn." Get a second opinion if they find cavity. read more

As a new patient, I was somewhat apprehensive going to a new dentist considering the fact that I was with my previous dentist since I was young. However, a co-worker referred me to Rose Tree Dental and I'm so glad she did. I really appreciate how they handled me as a new patient. When I scheduled my appointment, the receptionist explained to me that new patients come in for x-rays and an exam first. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt very welcomed and accepted (my name was even on the TV above the office welcoming me)! I met with Dr. Rosen and he explained again what was going to happen. They took a series of x-rays and checked with my insurance BEFORE they took them to make sure it would be covered, which they were. Dr. Rosen then continued his examination, explaining each step along the way. I felt extremely comfortable in the office and very confident with Dr. Rosen's thorough assessment. After my visit, I scheduled my six-month cleaning and I'm excited to be a new patient at Rose Tree Dental. read more

First I would like to start by saying that I am 33 years old, I had a horrible experience with a dentist when I was 7 and amazingly it has stuck with me to date. I have always had dental insurance, and I would go to my 6 month check ups. I have known about a cavity for 3 years and I have neglected to take care of it simply because of my extreme fear of the needle to be numbed. Since I ignored this cavity for so long because of my fear, this tooth became so infected and so decayed that I needed a root canal, not exactly the kind of procedure that you want to have done with such a fear of the dentist. I met with Dr. Lieberman because I was up against the wall and needed to figure out how I was going to take care of this, in a perfect world I would have loved to have been completely sedated and had the procedure done while I was asleep and that was not a financial option for me. Dr. Lieberman made me feel so comfortable and went above and beyond his call of duty as a dentist to make this as easy as possible for me. Without any nitrous or sedation, he used an amazing numbing gel where the needles were going to be placed to numb me (This by far was my biggest fear) The gel that he used numbed me so well that I did not even feel any of the many needles that he needed to use to numb me. So after over 17 years of avoiding dental work aside from routine cleanings, I had a root canal. I have heard horror stories of root canals and this was a completely pain free experience for me. Not only is Dr. Lieberman an amazing patient dentist but the entire staff at Rose Tree Dental are such caring compassionate people. In a day where customer service is a dying field they do more than rise to the occasion. With one visit, which was a root canal I no longer have any fear whatsoever of the dentist. I can not recommend this dental office enough, especially if you are someone like me with an extreme fear of needles, this is the place to go. I can not thank the entire staff enough for helping me get over this fear and making it pain free for me. I will never ignore another cavity again out of fear! ROSE TREE DENTAL ROCKS!!!!!! read more
