I came to Shore-Snyder after my previous dentist's office kept messing appointments up, billing me…read morefor treatments I didn't get, etc. My first visit was OK. The room I was in was not the cleanest, so I was a little put off by that. But the hygienist was nice and the doctor (the younger Shore) gave me a good once-over and sent me on my way. I returned for my second cleaning recently and was more impressed after getting to see more of the office. My hygienist was different this time, but I really liked her. She was very friendly and her cleaning didn't hurt a little bit even once! I also got panoramic x-rays done in a fancy machine and didn't have to bite down on all the things they usually put in your mouth for scans; those things hurt my pallet. After the cleaning and x-rays were complete the founding Dr. Shore came to check me out. He's so hip and cool, with all his little jute bracelets. He complimented my teeth and sent me on my merry way. Another thing I noticed is there are a ton of staff that work here. I think Shore-Snyder is single-handedly employing all of Norwood! I'll undoubtedly be back for my third bi-annual appointment.

Met directly…read moreby the dentist and hygienist who were friendly and quickly took several X-rays as a baseline. Dentist said that I needed to get my old fillings replaced as they were "leaking" and could be further damage. I had a dentist verbalize this to me previously as something that may come up in the future so I wasn't too alarmed. "We aren't doing anything today, we will schedule you for two appointments in the future where we can replace these old ones and we will clean your teeth then". I felt a little surprised and suddenly rushed and wish I had said something then, but didn't. It didn't feel right. What I find disappointing in hindsight is that my X-ray results were never reviewed with me, that absolutely nothing was done the first appointment even though I had taken time off to be there and the expectation that I will take even more time off for these services. If nothing else I felt like my time was not respected; the time I had to take off from work, to get there, and then schedule additional appointments. If this is how they run things then it should be clarified that the first appointment is a "CONSULTATION" and that it is likely that no work will take place. I suspect they make a little extra by breaking up the visits this way and that may be the motivation behind it or the doctor was running behind and punted.
