Dr Verna and my long time dental hygienist are the best. I would not go any place else!

They need to hire more dental hygienists there so they could provide me with basic dental care like a wellness check up every six months. They have been using a lame excuse that they are recruiting for a vacant hygienist position. But they've been using that excuse for three years now. A good question to ask is "where is the job posting, I have a great hygienist to recommend?" The reality is that they stopped trying to care at this place. Avoid them at all costs! read more

I experienced an emergency tooth in mid April 2025. I immediately searched for a dentist with good reviews.. hands down this medical office had excellent reviews. I called a few minutes before opening and one of the staff members answered the phone and I explained I was not a prior patient and never was at the office before. The young lady was extremely helpful and suggested who I should see. The doctor was incredible and extremely experience. I must tell you I was a little concerned what's the cost of this work that I need it. The dentist was incredibly caring and work with me more than any dentist I ever have been to. I also was in a negative position because we were losing our dental insurance at the end of May due to the agreed of prospect medical that put over 2600 people out of work due to their mismanagement and greed. I was stoned when I was in the chair and how painless several procedures that were performed and very happy with. I can tell you I'm in the process of changing insurance for dental and vision along with medical and this is now my permanent dentist without and he hesitation . For me to say that they are very professional and extremely honest that is an understatement !!! Thank you very much for your compassionate heart and excellent work . I have left a review here and there over the years- but feel like it's time for another shout out! Lee Dental Associates is top notch. They are all kind, professional and knowledgeable. I have been a patient there since (1977)......16 years old. I'm now 64 and feel so fortunate to still be in the same area. After all these years- I still travel to Springfield to go to this practice. I've had a ton of Dental work done over the years and everything has always been great. Never an issue. Dr. Verna is THE best in my book. He's kind, courteous and professional. Update, similar to last review, but loosing another star, great doctors, great hygienists. Front desk needs some improvement. If someone calls in about pain from some recent work, you need to get them seen, even if their doctor is out. Use some sense and have them seen or at least talked to by another doctor. read more

I had an appointment with Dr. Verna today. I was looking forward to going there because of the reviews. Once I met DR. VERNA, HE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT WANT TO BE BOTHERED. He didn't even examine me...just looked at xrays I brought with me and told me to go back to my old dentist. He didn't even say good bye. I couldn't get out of that office fast enough. I saw Lee Dental about six months ago and they were very good. Just wish they realized this is 2022 not 1980 for your office management. This office does not deliver mailboxes. If you are calling them for a visit, you should remind them since they don't have a mailbox or message system. Absolutely love Lee dental, all of their staff is phenomenal, attentive, supportive and knowledgeable. I Showed up on the wrong date (my mistake) but because I was having pain they got me in anyway and fixed everything the same day! My dentist Dr. Moretto does amazing work, explains everything he is doing as he does it and has a very calming demeanor; which is helpful because I generally hate going to the dentist! I went to this dental office after readying the great reviews online and the fact that my old dentist claimed that I needed a deep cleaning twigs year. So my husband kept telling me I should get a second opinion because I have great looking teeth. Scheduled an appoint and they were able to get in the chair the same week. Has a consultation and the dentist looked at my teeth told me I had no cavities and he would see me in 6 month for a basic cleaning. Now the whole time I'm sitting there confused based off why my previous office told me. I called my insurance and explained to them and they told me that many dental office add additional things to a visit that's not necessary. Well this office was honest and did not try to add extra services for money. I will definitely be a long life customer. read more

I have basically been going to the same dentist my entire life, but having moved across the state, I had to find a new one in a hurry when I chipped one of my front teeth. The staff at Lee were very friendly and helped me find a time that was both quick and worked with my schedule. They also checked with insurance ahead of time so that I knew everything would be covered. The office is clean and has a lot of modern touches, such as TVs in view of the dental chair so you can watch TV to distract you from them working on you. The dental hygienist who worked on me prior to seeing the dentist was as knowledgeable as many dentists I've known and very professional. Finally, when it came time to have my tooth repaired, Dr. Beggs made the process very painless. The only thing I wish he'd have done was explain what he was doing as he was doing it as I had to ask afterwards. When all was said and done, the total bill was about $500 for tooth repair and cleaning. My insurance covered the cost, but I share it because if you don't have insurance, you should know about how much you'd be looking at for similar services. read more

I had a implant procedure that Lee Dental finished up by ordering the permanent cap. I paid my $800 co-pay, but received another $800 bill later on because my insurance company didn't pay. They stuck me with this, so much for the agreement I signed and paid on! They got that additional $800, but they will not get another penny. read more

The one doctor Drilled a huge hole in between my 2 bottom molars after 5 needles and could not get me numb. Sent me home and Told me I probably have an infection and that I have to see a root canal specialist. Went to one, he reviewed the X-rays no infection detected at all, in my whole mouth. The cavity was not even deep enough to need a root canal yet. Went to another general dentist, the doctor was able to get me numb and filled all the cavities necessary without a root canal. Had a full mouth of xrays done, AGAIN. No infection... the doctor did not even fill the hole he made. I couldn't even chew on that side and was in a ton of pain.... And I had to pay for my copay/numbing agent/etc. for that pointless visit. read more

I've been to many dentists and Dr. Nye is the best by far!!! He's real personable and cool. There is a tv to watch to distract you from the teeth cleaning and you are invited to put on whatever channel you want... if the Flyers are playing though, Dr. Nye will probably want to watch the game. The bite wing x-rays are extremely uncomfortable to me and I usually gag and frustrate the hell out of the dental hygentists. They were very understanding about it and allowed me to get a panoramic and only two really quick bite wings! read more

Last March, I switched jobs, and my new dental plan required me to part ways with my dentist of 23 years. I can't say I was sad to leave the other place, but I was nervous about finding a new place. After hours of Yelping and Googling the places I could choose from, I found Lee Dental, which is close to my house. I called and was able to make an appointment with no problem whatsoever. I got there on the day of the appointment and was greeted by the friendly receptionists who got me settled with paperwork. Very soon after, I was greeted by Maryam Jackson, one of the dental associates. She did my exam and was very friendly. She pointed out a cavity (I know, I'm bad!) and said I could either have it filled that day, right then, or come back. Figuring I might as well get it while I was there, I did. The team helped me make a decision about what kind of filling I wanted and what my insurance would cover, which was great, because I really understand nothing about insurance! I was there for a few hours, but the whole staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. There's a TV in the room, and they were happy to let me take control of the remote. The best part: Dr. Jackson told me I don't need to get my wisdom teeth out. I'm almost 24, and my old doc used to tell me every time I went to get an exam. I didn't because I was a) terrified and b) skeptical that this was actually a necessary procedure. Dr. Jackson said that since my wisdom teeth don't hurt me and are growing in normally, there's no reason to get them pulled at this point, and doing so could actually cause nerve damage. SCORE. She pretty much won me over at that point, but the great customer service I saw from all the staff members also helped. I highly recommend this place. I'm going back in a couple weeks for my next check-up and am optimistic that it will be prove to me just as enjoyable at the first visit. read more

Super friendly staff! I went in just for a routine cleaning. No complaints at all. Very professional and clean. I don't think anyone really likes going to the dentist but this place makes it very tolerable. I will absolutely go back for my next cleaning.. I am a huge dental phobe. I had to have a dental procedure done by an endodontist (who was also fantastic) and needed to pick a regular dentist for cleanings etc. I had a list of three offices that I was going to call to feel out for an appointment. It probably took me a week to muster up the courage to call and make an appointment for a cleaning. The first office that I called was Lee Dental. Before I dialed I thought to myself "if the receptionist is rude I'm hanging up". The woman on the other end of the phone was very nice so I told her flat out that I'm not a big fan of the dentist and she said that they come across that regularly. I ended up making an appointment for the following week When I walked into the office I greeted by a friendly front desk staff and a very clean waiting room. I filled out some paperwork and not too long after I was done I was called back. The room was really nice and had a TV mounted in the corner and the assistant gave me a remote and a listing of the channels and said that they doctor would be in shortly. Dr. Verna walked in and he was so nice and professional. He really didn't seem to mind when I explained that I was terrified to be in the chair even if it was just for a cleaning. He did the cleaning himself and then sent me for some x-rays (the x-ray tech was also very nice). I was in and out in less than an hour. I scheduled by 6 month check up before I left, and believe it or not I'm kind of looking forward to going back. read more

Dr. Tom Verna is AMAZING, KIND, HONEST and GENTLE! Dr. Tom has been my dentist for the past 15 years. I've had fear of dentist all of my life and being with Dr. Tom puts my fear at ease. When I moved to California i had to find a new dentist. When i found a dentist out there it was one thing after another. A very, very expensive year (over 5,000 dollars). My dentist in California was ready to hit me up for another $1,800.00 dollars for some fillings (7 OR 8) "they said" I NEEDED replaced. So before giving up more money, feeling something was wrong. I made an appointment with Dr. Tom (on one of my trips home) to find out if this was the truth. After just a few minutes of looking at my teeth, Dr. Tom said i only needed 1 filling replaced!!!!! He replaced the filling in 30 minutes!!! If you are in Pennsylvania!!! Dr. Tom Verna is your Dentist. He's HONEST and fair, and will not take your life savings for the sake of filling up his own bank account! read more

Dr. Wayand is the BEST! He is very gentle, considerate and explains exactly what he is doing and what will come next. He and his assistant, Brittany, make a great team. They are very professional. While proceeding through the procedure they offer pleasant, interesting and fun conversation. They make the unpleasant, anxiety filled trip to the dentist as pleasurable as it can possibly be as well as leaving the office with very healthy teeth and smile. read more

I have had trouble with my teeth (buck teeth, periodontal disease, lost and loose teeth, etc.) all my life and unfortunately been attended to by more poor dentists than good ones. During the pandemic I realized that I could no longer wait to take care of what had become a daily concern about my mouth and the years-long fear of smiling. I read hundreds of reviews of dentists in Delaware County and Philadelphia and chose Lee Dental. I was fortunate to be seen by Dr. Moretto, though I'm sure the other dentists in this practice are equally terrific. From the first appointment, x rays, evaluation, plan of action, referral to an amazing oral surgeon BZG in Media, through full mouth dental extraction, immediate dentures, regular adjustments and soon ordering permanent dentures, Dr. Moretto has been unfailingly kind, concerned, respectful, informative, and a partner in working toward, in his words, 'a great outcome'. This experience has been so much more than I could ever have hoped for. The office staff and dental assistants are unfailingly kind and helpful and I know that Dr. Moretto and the oral surgeon I was referred to investigated my dental insurance and did their very best to keep fees as low as possible. When I step through their doors or see their number on my phone, I know that the interaction is going to be positive in every way. This entire practice is just awesome. My family and I have been seeing Dr. Ney for a few years now. He has always been great - very friendly and personable. The hygienists are wonderful too - very thorough and gentle overall. They had a wonderful hygienist named Cathy (who's no longer there as she moved out of state) that my husband and I loved because she was so extremely gentle and thorough and we miss her greatly. However, the other dental staff are still fantastic and we have no complaints. Even my kids love going to see the dentists - such a testament as to how wonderful this office and staff is overall. Though we've been going to this practice for about 5 years or so, I'm only now getting around to writing a review because we moved to the west coast and have been having such a terrible time finding another dental practice. My husband had a bad experience at one west coast dentist in February so we made it a point to go back to Lee Dental while we visited family in Philly this summer. The dentist in California did a hard sell on dental work - felt like a used car salesman pushing fillings and Invisalign with the whole "book now and we'll take 10% off the MSRP" - ugh! To top it off, when my husband went back to Dr. Ney, he was told he didn't need any fillings. Needless to say, we miss Dr. Ney and Lee Dental and will try to schedule our exams for when we visit the east coast - that's how much we love and miss this practice! read more

I went to Dr. Lee the first time as an emergency. My face was radiating in pain. I would have let him drill through any tooth he wanted. Instead he reviewed an x-ray and said that dental work would not help me. He said that I likely have trigeminal neuralgia from inflamed sinuses. I went to subsequent doctors and found out that he was right on. It was very accurate and honest of him. read more

these people are the absolute best! prior to me being taken off my parents dental plan I was a patient here, but I had to switch to gentle dental of springfield and they wanted to charge me for services that i could not prioritize $$ wise. I acknowledged I needed scaling but the root canal was the priority and they would not work with me despite having decent credit. I literally could not sleep because of pulsating pain going to my temple, so 4 days later I decided I couldn't live with the agony. I went across the street back to Dr. Lee's and told them my situation. Dr. Tom Verna agreed I needed an emergency root canal and they were able to squeeze me in, take x-rays, identify the tooth, complete the root canal, write me prescriptions all in about 45 minutes. the dental assistant even insisted i watch something on tv. everything from having enough mint mouthwash to rinse and not drooling blood over yourself, to having sunglasses to protect your eyes from the drilling and light, to watching sports center, and having a root canal done in under 45 minutes. Both Dr. Lee and Dr. Verna are meticulous & exact, and courteous to patient comfort. I could not be more proud to call them my dentists, both have superior experience and it shows. So i needed a new dentist cause my sucked and kept messing up with the billing so i hoped on yelp and found Lee dental. I had a great experience. I actually forgot my appt and the very nice receptionist called me after i was 45 mins late and when i apoligized she said its ok and to come right up and Dr. Vernon would hook me up. I am not even sure where to begin...as a young child I feared the dentist more than most things. I always had teeth issues and I have also always had a very low threshold for pain. Something other dentists in the past "delt" with but certainly did not make me ever feel any better about it. And then the unthinkable happened during a time that under normal circumstances would have been extremely difficult but this was a time when no one seemed to be dealing very well with all of the terrible things happening to our world. I had a terrifying accident. Truly one of the scariest experiences of my life. To make a long story short I tripped and fell literally teeth first into my burrough. As I tried not to panic I called my dentist ( who had known me for many years.) He did not seem very concerned at all ( though he did want me to check to see if I had a concussion) and I already knew I did not. As I was trying to explain to him what had just occurred ( all the while holding all the teeth I had just knocked out of my head with blood filling up in my mouth) he told me he couldn't help me. I started to really panic. I ran across the hall to my neighbor ( and friend) and she told me to call her dentist. It seemed next to impossible to believe that a total stranger would help me when my own dentist would not. Immediately when I called the office I could already get the impression that the staff was more than friendly...they were kind. They actually listened to me and they truly cared what I was telling them. Dr. Verna saw me the very next day. I was still very upset about what had occurred the day before ( and rightly so) and that was precisely his sentiments as well. This man actually cared more than my own ( now previous) dentist who had known me about 20 years. He was extremely honest about everything. What this would entail, as well as the cost and yes, ( my worst fears) the pain. But as I started to do some calculations in my head, though the cost was not going to be small, it was much less than what my previous dentist charged me...and looking back, all my previous dentist ever did was the bare minimum. It was right then and there that I started to realize until you start to think you deserve the very best care on earth, you might just not get it. But I did. Finally. And what really shocked me the most was the fact that though it was painful ( there was no way around it) for the first time since I was a child I did not even need nitric oxide! He was wonderful. More than wonderful. And though the whole process is not yet completed I feel as if the worst of it is over. If you had ever asked me in a million years if I was excited to go to the dentist I would have laughed really hard! But he is not only giving me my smile back, he also gave me something equally if not more valuable. Not everything has to be a horrible experience. And yes, I definitely deserved more than the bare minimum. Dr. Verna is not only highly qualified. He is a very kind, intelligent and an extremely interesting man, though you can tell he views humility the way I do... some things you simply do not need to advertise. The right people will understand. To say that he lives up to his reputation would be an understatement and though it truly was an unfortunate and very scary thing that happened to me...I would not have met him otherwise. I know he will be my dentist for the rest of my life. I will no longer put off teeth cleanings and all of the very important things we need to do to have healthy teeth, gums and a beautiful smile. He gave me something priceless as far as I am concerned and it is something I will never forget. read more

I visited Dr. Ney at Lee Dental yesterday for a check up as a new patient. Dr. Ney was nice and even after two years of not seeing a dentist I didn't have any cavities. The hygienist was pleasant and made sure I was comfortable during the cleaning. I wasn't up-sold on anything even with really good insurance. I even asked what he recommended as far as teeth whitening and he listed a couple options that I could pick up at the store. The receptionist told me I'd get something in the mail about scheduling an appointment in 6 months and I was on my way with a new toothbrush. All in all a solid dentist visit. read more

Highly recommended dentist and have been going here for almost 10 years. They are very polite, organized and capable and I never wait for my appointment even 1 minute - ever! As others have said, Dr. Ney is the friendliest dentist I have ever dealt with and I totally trust him. Don't have too many dental issues, but the could I have had were taken care of without issue. cheap dental firm...if you have insurance they don't do anything for you...because they have to take a write off (loss) to do the important work you require...instead they jsut tell you everything is fine and give you a 5 minute light touch dental cleaning, etc, etc in order to get you done in time for the next patient...yeah big smiles everywhere but not a good dental office... read more
