I've gone in with different aches and pains over time and have consistently felt better afterward. Victoria at the front desk is also great. First, the office setting does NOT evoke the feel of a highly successful practice. When I met with Dr. Joen, she proceeded to tell me that my insurance, Anthem PPO, only covers $50 a visit, although I was told that I was covered by insurance and only had a $20 co-pay when I scheduled the appointment. I asked what the $295 consultation fee that she recommended and other extra charges would do to make me feel better, and she told me wants to focus on my whole body and health and acupuncture would not do accomplish that. This was only after viewing my tongue and checking my pulse. I wanted an explanation of what the greater services would provide and she couldn't tell me as that meant she was consulting and that would cost more. Although I am fortunate enough to afford whatever the cost, she told me that I must be poor, as rich people don't care and most of her clients are rich based on where her office is located. She said she services the poor and devotes time and free services around the world and kept telling me that everybody loves her. Unbelievable. I should have walked out when she insulted me, but I was curious. There was a Catch 22, as I wanted more information to make a decision about committing to more services and to see what she was trying to sell me countered by the fact that she wouldn't tell me more as that meant a consultation. She provided her services although reluctantly. She forgot about me being hooked up to a machine that I believe lasted 3 times longer than it should have. After one day, I am experiencing no benefit from her services in making my back and neck better. This was my first acupuncture experience. I will try it again, but with a very different practitioner.

I've heard such great things and we've also never had cupping done before. Funny enough three days ago she was like oh I wanna go do some cupping. I put on my grinch grin face inside my head as little did she know I already planned this out for her. It's kinda hard to find, but you'll have to look for G which is all the way in the back so make sure you drive around and it's on the first floor. From the moment that we got in everyone so positive energy and loving, we felt very much at home. It's a small and quaint little place but full of BIG HEALING ENERGY. We did the cupping, but they're all kinds of different things like massages and acupuncture. Next time, we'll definitely try the acupuncture.
