Absolutely horrible service. Complete and utter disrespect to their customers. They don't respect their appointment time and treat their clientele like they clearly don't care about their job. It is truly unfortunate that this business has such disregard for their customers. Please save yourself a headache and go elsewhere, literally anywhere else because you will leave here with a new standard of low service that you didn't even know existed. read more

5 STARS FOR TAMMY!! She is AMAZING but I just found out that she moved to Australia :( I come here all the time when I come back home from college and I just found that she no longer works here. The new lady that did my nails was very friendly so I recommend coming here. read more

Got my nails done here today! They did a lovely a job! The place was clean and the staff was friendly! Will definitely come back!

Great waxing by owner, but owner's mother is rude, nosey and does not have good customer service. If owner wasn't the greatest eyebrow waxer in Merced, I'd stop coming. Always overcrowded and they make you wait for 30 minutes sometimes. Doesn't help to have an appt, because it's first come first serve. read more

I used to go here all the time. I wouldn't go anywhere else....until today! I waited almost 40 mi utes after the girl told me the wait was about 20. Then they proceeded to take back not 1, not 2, but 3 people who came in lonnnng after me! I was pissed and will NOT be returning!!! If I could give negative stars i would! read more

The nail lady's are very distracted and do a terrible job at pedicures, also noticed that they don't clean their nail tools... they just rinse them in the dirty water used for your pedicure and put them back in their box as well as the orange thing they use to scrub your feet is reused and they don't wash nor change them. They cut my nails way too short and they didn't even ask if I wanted them filed or cut. I payed for 30 dollar pedicure and got a 5 dollar service... my hand nails are also really fragile from using acrylic so I asked her nicely and several times to not use the file and just use the buffer so it wouldn't damage my nails more and she did the complete opposite. Super expensive prices for such poor quality work. Never coming back again... wish I could give 0 stars ! read more

Literally the worst nail salon ever. Came here because it was close to me. but will never go back ever again. overpriced acrylic nails and terrible work for the price you pay. charge you to take off gel polish on toes. charges for extra shopping when getting a fill. my gel polish chipped after one day of having a fill done. looks like i need a fill as soon as i left the salon. read more

This place is fantastic! Great fast service. Clean, relaxing, great massages (with pedicures). Love this place.

I'm only giving them one star because it doesn't let me leave 0... let me start by saying 1 the wait is ridiculous. 2 hours for white tips. And then 2 they're sloppy my nails have bubbles are not straight and not even filled all the way in on the sides. Then my toes look like shit. I don't even know how they are still in business. And they're not very clean there either. -5 stars is what I would give them. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

I have had a few bad experiences with Rose Nails (both locations) in the past and I decided to give them another go. Bad decision. Today I called ahead because I was going on my lunch hour. The only male who works there answered and said only walk ins I said fine and went down there. I walk in stand there for a good 12mins just waiting to at least be acknowledged. Another girl walks in the male immediately looks up and ask how he can help her. I'm like WOW. He then looks at me and asks, "have you been helped", I said no. What do you need he says, I said pedicure. He looks at the other girl tells her I have to take her first because she was here. Two other girls walk in with appointments. One goes straight to a nail chair and he tells the other to wait. Then shortly after pulls her back looks at me and says 15mins ma'am. I'm thinking 15mins More than I've already waited NOT and walked tf out. It's not what you it's how you say it. The employees are never friendly and want to get you in and out. I'm going back to Venus Nails in Atwater. I think the only reason Rose Nails gets good business is because of location. They have no customer service. Sad to say I will NEVER step a foot in there again and they are around the corner from my home. read more

Love coming here. I never have time to make an appointment but Patrick always seems to get me in. My nails always look great and last forever. Yesterday, my friend and I went to rose nails for some pedis. My friend was paying for both of us, and this is her usual place she goes to. I hear a lot of people go here, so I had high expectations. We were sat down right away, which was great. We planned to just get regular polish. But my friend and I both had gel on our toes from prior pedis, and they charge $5 to take off gel. So we ended up getting gel pedis. Their color selection was great, I found a beautiful color right away. Anyway, during our pedis, the staff asked us to pay. Paying during a pedi? I guess, lol. They literally said "give me the money cus I'm going to close the register now." ??? Okay lol I guess that's fine. A couple minutes later, the lady asked my friend if she wanted a deluxe pedi, and my friend said no. The lady then made a remark, "you should because the bottom of your feet are dirty." We looked at each other in awe lol. My pedi was going fine, I didn't notice anything horrible. But then when I got home, I realized the lady didn't paint two of my nails fully. I guess it's not that noticeable, but really? C'mon.. this place has by far the worst staff. I am probably never coming back again. read more

Rose Nails - Didn't even paint my toes fully - Nail Salons Near Me - Merced, California

I had to go to Rose Nails because my regular waxer was on vacation. I had just walked in hoping that they would do a good job. I don't like to trust just anybody with my brows but they were getting out of control that I couldn't handle it anymore. The young lady did a nice job. And the price was surprisingly cheap since I normally pay $22 for eyebrows and lip waxing. Would go back again if its last minute notice. read more

I've been coming here for years and I had the worst experience today. I had a pedi done and the girl did an excellent job, I also had a guy doing my mani at the same time NEVER AGAIN! The guy messed up my hands at least twice and it was gel so he had to do them twice. When the girl was done with my pedi the guy says its better to sit at table and do them so he asks me to move. In the process or me moving I messed up my pedi FML at this point I'm annoyed been there for 2 hours bc of this guy. After everything said and done he fixed my mani but I was so fed up i walked out without them fixing my pedi that I paid full price for. I'm so annoyed and unhappy with my nails that after today I'm going somewhere else from here on out. If you don't pay attention to your nails they will allow u to walk out fucked up or not but want you to pay full price for half ass service and that's BS! Customer service sucks! read more

This place for acrylic is ok with the guy but pedicures and service the worst !!! They can take from 10-15 minutes on a pedicure who does that!? I went with a friend yesterday she was getting a new set of acrylic nails and I a pedi we usually go here I like it better than Rose Nails 2. But yesterday was awful if you plan on getting acrylic I suggest Patrick because the lady that did my friends nails yesterday left them uneven one hand was longer than the other it was clearly obvious and she also spend half of the time complaining how hard it was to do her nails. The lady that did my pedi must have been new I have never seen her before she did a horrible job. She didn't paint half of one nail and had a hard time with the rest because the nail polish was dry, she also left my sides dirty with nail polish, the WORST part was that she planned on leaving them like that she actually told me she was done. I mentioned the smearing and the missing nail polish on my toes and she used her nail to clean the sides that hurt even when she was done I was still unhappy with the look it was mediocre. I could have done a better job myself. If I do come back I will be asking for a different person. Tip-1. Don't ask me to wax my eyebrows after you butcher my toes( heck no lady I'm not letting you near my eyebrows) 2. I come often and so does my friend don't assign us new workers or people that aren't great at their job. read more

My daughter and I were in town visiting my boyfriend. We had some extra time on our hands and wanted to get out of the heat so I looked up nail salons in the area and found rose nails. It was only 15 minutes away so we headed over. When we got there, we were instantly greeted and asked what services we were looking for. After signing in and using the restroom, it was ready our turn! WOW! That was fast! My daughter is 3 and quite the little talker. At the beginning she was a little shy and the guy who did her nails, Han, was very nice and she began to feel more comfortable. She chose blue for her nail color, and not only did he do the beautiful job with the color, he previously filed and shaper her tiny nails, and after applying the blue he offered her glitter!! I was shocked at the suggestion because I've never had a nail tech ask her if she wanted glitter and I always forget :( she ended up loving her nails and she won't stop looking at them :) Kathy did my nails and she too, did a beautiful job! I was looking for just a basic manicure and she taught me a little bit about gel and the benefits! I went with a gel manicure and she did a great job! Whenever we are in Merced and need our nails done, this is where we'll go!! read more

Rose Nails - She loves her nails so much we took this picture right outside the salon!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Merced, California

I used to go to the other rosenails by laha1 and tacobell, but no longer due to the fact that they will text and talk on their phone and stop in the middle of the services I am paying them for. So eventually I got tired of that ans started going to this Rose Nails by Raleys. I have had nothing but a great experience everytime I come here. I have beenthere several times and was helped right away even times before if I just walked in. I always ask for Kim. I personally love everyone there, but I feel she puts in an extra elbow which is nice because I am 6ft3 so I like to have more of a massage with it. They make sure you are comfortable. All the chairs work great with massagers in them. You also get to listen to Christian music which just makes the atmosphere even better. Also the owner andhiswife are very sweet!! We have developed a fun friendship! 5 stars! read more

Prices go up without notice from the start of your service to the end of your service. Since when did having your feet scrubbed with the scrubber cost an additional $5? That's a basic part of a pedicure, period! I won't go back I can't stand places that have a listed price on the wall then charge you a higher price for no additional services. read more

Never had a great experience here but decided to give it a try again. First off, I was told that my wait (for a manicure) would be 10 minutes, ended up waiting more than 30. Two women came in after me and were told 5 minutes, and were both seated before me. I was finally seated and the man who did my nails tried to talk me out of the service I had chosen in place for another. The process was uncomfortable, the cuticle cleaning, etc. The paint job was not fantastic. And to top it off, my husband came in and was waiting for me. The man who had done my nails said to me "you better go, he looks mad" and turned my fan off! read more

I went in around 11 got seated right away I had never been there I got just a plain gel color for 25 is a little too much for just a plain color and it's been about a week and they all chipped already wouldn't go back the only thing is the staff is nice read more

I would give it no stars if I could. I called earlier in the day to make an appointment and they would not let me for 4 kids and myself. I walked in with an hour and ten minutes till close and they said they could not see us. Denied us service. They would not even just paint the girls nails. They did not have very many people in the chairs and we maybe would have had to wait 15min which I was happy to do. Very very poor customer service and very rude. read more

This shop is closer to home for me and I have alway went to the other Rose Nails. Knowing my go to is always pretty busy, we chose to give it a shot! I can say, thankfully there wasn't a wait and worked out for time. My nails do NOT look bad. I give them that. But it was the customer service from the guy who has a station directly behind the receptionist desk I wasn't feeling. An a few minor things that caught my attention. There was limited options for acrylic and I feel like he wouldn't even let me finish explaining what I wanted in the first place. Matter of fact he wouldn't even show me what he had! No color swatches. Gel only! I felt rushed and he would cut me off talking, pretty much telling me what he wanted to do and those were my only options. Cut and dry. I also noticed when I was told to wash my hands, there wasn't even a scrub brush with barbicide to clean underneath my nails after my service. I also didn't receive any cuticle conditioner after. However the lady my daughter got was kind and open. Only part is she left behind a big chunk of acrylic underneath a nail, which my daughter didn't realize until after we left. My bad for not checking. Luckily I have a drill at home and can easily be done myself. Overall not bad work but vibe I wasn't feeling. read more

I had a brazilian wax here and it could not have been worse. She hardly put any wax, then left a lot of hair that I did not want to still be there then tried to shave it...I did not pay $40 to get "professionally" shaved. When I denied her razor, she then began plucking every individual hair. I made an appt for a brazilian wax and was nearly shaved and tweezed. I only wax and I had never had a worse experience. I would never recommend this to anyone. read more

I'm torn! This place is ok, and they do decent enough work....however, the attitude of the owner (Patrick) is horrible! He acted annoyed from the minute I walked in. I asked to see what gel colors they had and he actually rolled his eyes as he answered me! My nails looked good enough, but I will most definitely not be back. read more

This place sucks! I dont even want to give them one star! The lady who prepared my mom and my pedicures kept insisting that we get gel color for $30 each for pedi, mani, and acryllic nails. I refused each time. One of the guys did my pedicure and it was a half-assed pedi. He also hurt me when he was trimming my skin around my toes. The same guy did my acryllic nails and it was half-assed also. He didnt even care to make it nice. He didnt even push back my cuticles or clean my skin around my nails. He proceeded to do my acryllic nails and they looked like i already needed a fill. I asked him to take dust off my nails and fix it. He had the guts to say i was picky. Then when I was looking at my nails, he had the nerves to say, "Do you like your nails? If you don't, too bad. There's nothing I can do about it." What the hell kinda customer service is that?! Who says that to their customers?! I surely am not going back. read more

I have been meaning to type this review, but I had delayed it because I didn't want to relive the horrible experience I had at this business. I used to love coming to this place because of a specific employee. Her name was Blue, she was the sweetest. Blue was very talented in her role and very professional but for some reason that is unknown to me she does not work there anymore. Last time I went to Rose Nails I asked for Blue and the owner, I don't know his name but he is the only male that works there, rudely told me that she doesn't work there anymore. After that I asked if they had time for an acrylic set and he rudely yelled across the room in a loud, "NO!" I did not want to cause a scene in a business full of people or stoop to his level so I just kindly responded in a thank you. The man/owner did not say I'm too busy to take you in or anything like that. I would of understood and returned another time. He also did not give me any options of making an appointment or coming in at a later time. He simply refused service when I have been a loyal customer. After that experience I was very upset, I told myself I would never return to this place. I would give this place a rating of a zero if I could! read more

horrible experience, jenny not only commented once about my mother's eyebrows while we were getting our pedicures but 8 times i counted. asking once and saying no thanks should be enough , she said how bad she looked, how they have no shape. and her pedicure and nails were uneven and when we commented on it she said no they weren't and didn't fix it lol, i don't go around telling people they need to get braces but maybe someone should let her know that teeth are only supposed to go one direction read more

I have waited over two hours to get a fill at this place, which is irritating as I was told weekends are all walk ins and come to find out people coming in after me had appointments!!! Worst experience for acrylic nails. I've had acrylics done that were ready to be removed. They are usually done by using a grinder to remove and or soaked. The lady removed them by using a piece of plastic to get between my real nail and the acrylic. I had told her it hurt and said it's"okay" and proceeded to pull off the rest. One of my nails was ripped off and began to bleed she then tried to hide it from her boss and implied it was my fault. Then asked me "what color I want". I refused to have them painted and left.I will never go back again to have bloody nails. read more

I have gone to Rose Nails twice. The first time was not enjoyable because the gal made several remarks about the condition of my nails. I decided to go again with my daughter in law to get pedicures. Again, it was not the best experience. My feet were definitely in need of a pedicure and I was really looking forward to being pampered. The gal that was doing my pedicure made several remarks in her native tongue that seemed to me to be about my feet. Of course I can not be sure but I did not enjoy the experience as much as I have at other places. Very unfriendly. I will not be returning. read more

I am from out of town but did not have time to get my pedicure at home this week so planned to get one in Merced before my business meeting tomorrow. The lady at my hotel desk suggested this location. Big mistake!!! This was probably one of the worst pedicures I have ever gotten. The girl who did it spoke ZERO english and that made it even worse because she did not understand anything I said. The water was cold. I asked if she could warm it up - she didn't understand. The color choices were poor - very limited choices. I ended up leaving with no color on my toes because the pedicure was so bad - I didn't want to see how bad the polish would end up looking. She made 2 of my toes bleed because she cut the nails too close and clipped my skin. She left my big toe nail with a large pice of nail left on the corner because I think she realized she was cutting me and did not want to try to cut it off and damage another toe. Everything she did hurt. Now that I am reading the YELP reviews about how dirty the instruments are, I am concerned that I am going to end up with an infection. I just poured Listerine on my toes to try to clean them off (like I said - I am from out of town and have limited supplies to work with) She used callous remover but just put it on and then washed it off in the tub - no scrubbing or anything. That was a waste of "$5.00 more". She asked me if I wanted the Deluxe or Regular Pedicure but could not tell me what the difference was between the 2 (no English) so I opted for the regular since at that point I really just wanted it to end. I guess I made her mad by picking the cheaper one because the "massage" lasted about 30 seconds. The pedicure was $25.00 (that is with no paint on my nails) and I tipped the girl $5.00 because I felt sorry for her. If she does everyones nails as badly as she did mine - she probaly does not get tipped very well. Honestly, if I had any one dollar bills with me - I probably would have left one of those instead of the $5.00 bill. Do you self a favor and go somewhere else for your pedicure. My 9 year old grand daughter makes my nails look better than this place did. read more

Horrible customer service! I did a walk in and asked the man at the front desk how much a full with gel polish would be he said $15. Shortly after I asked again just to reassure and as he was telling me an older woman swoops and and starts yelling at me and says "he doesn't know what he's talking about its $20 for gel top coat" I'm like umm okay whatever that's fine. Then they send me to the other side where the manicure is done. I sit down and tell the guy what I want then another lady comes and begins to yell at me! She said we don't do no gel top coat! I'm like well two people at the front told me you did so I'm confused. She then yells " why would you listen to people who don't even do nails here?!" How was I supposed to know they don't do nails?! This was my first time coming here. She continued to say extremely rude comments so I decided to go else where to which her reply was "that's fine she can go" I will never return here again they are horrible. Only giving this place 1 star because Yelp requires it! My daughters and I were in the area so decided to stop in for pedicures. The guy up front was rude. It took much longer than what he let us know it was going to be. We were called to the chairs,My daughters sat down I went to the restroom. When I came out sat down chatted for a min like literally a min, looked over and noticed my daughters toes were already getting painted. I asked why she was already painting her toes and the lady told me she was done lol literally about 8 minutes passed since she's been in the chair. She then explained that she gave her the kid pedi, my daughter is 15. They didn't even ask me or her what she wanted , it was a joke. All of our pedicures were ridiculous the water was COLD for all of us. I was told it was because they were busy. My water had nasty stuff floating in it she blamed it on me. None of us had anything besides water in the tub. When I asked if the used any solution the lady got mad but put some spa solution in. I watched as people left the tubs were NOT being cleaned. All of the tubs they keep their supplies in were dirty. They did use a small yellow scrubber, the only plus! The massage was a joke! This whole experience was terrible. I'd go to Venus in Atwater next to save mart. They use a new liner bag with everyone.Everything is very clean. They use new/ clean everything. The best part is they are very friendly and spend ALOT of time scrubbing/massaging SO worth the $$ read more

I went in today because I received a gift certificate for that place. The staff wasn't friendly and seemed to be talking about me. I have a fractured foot so I was wearing a cam boot and they looked freaked out. I told them that I have a fracture and it was safe to do pedicure. My daughter went with me and she wanted her nails painted, they said it would be $3 for that, which I found cheap. When they got done with my pedicure I handed them my $30 gift certificate and my visa to cover the $3 extra I spent beyond gift certificate. The guy tells me they have a rule that they cannot accept VISA if getting charged less than $20. I told him that he should have warned me before I got the nails done, he pointed out this small sign they have at the register which is not visible at all WHEN YOU WALK IN. I told him that I didn't mind if they charged me fee for using card for under $20, he said no that he couldn't, got loud and asked if I wanted him to get fired!! I told him well I'm trying to pay you and I have NO CASH and I don't know what to do. He said I should go to the bank next door to use ATM, mind you I have a fractured foot and I CANNOT WALK!! To top it off, I was wearing the foam flipflops they give you since I couldn't put my boot back on. So instead of walking to bank, I got in my car to drive there and avoid walking. He goes outside as I'm getting in car and thinking I'm just going to take off and yells at me, WHERE ARE YOU GOING!! I was baffled by his stupid actions and still went to get money. I was able to ask for change, drove back to the their shop and left the $3 in the counter and no tip, thanks to that crazy inconsiderate Asian man who yelled at me!
