Driving through Redding on my way back home to southern Oregon took a chance to stop in for lunch. As a huge fan of beef Pho, the Rose Garden did not disappoint! The broth is flavorful and the thin beef slices were tender and tasty. Comes with the traditional accoutrements: lime, bean sprouts, Thai basil and cilantro, as well as a great selection of sauces to add to your liking. Also tried their Avocado Spring Rolls to start - equally delicious! This will be a regular stop along I-5 for my occasional drives to L.A. read more

Rose Garden - Beef Pho and Avocado Spring Rolls. - Thai Near Me - Redding, California

Delicious pad Thai delivered hot. I'll be ordering again and I recommend to Thai food lovers.

We love coming here... the staff is always very polite and the food is delicious! When we order take out, they are good about including everything with the order and are fast. read more

My current Thai carry out favorite in Redding. There is indeed some variation, a couple times it was a bit subpar, but I'm not taking any stars off for that. It's in the Lao/Thai part of town, and you always see Thai and Lao folks there, I once saw a coworker, so it's all legit :) They make really good Pad Thai, excellent fried rice. Drunken Noodles come with the noodles a little clumped, but the flavor is very good. Excellent soups. Very good eggplant dishes. Highly recommended, don't get suspicious from the low prices, leave a good tip! read more

Walking outside of the restaurant is very unassuming, the food is great! The service is good, too. We had one each of a Vietnamese, Laotian, and Thai dish. Each was great! For affordable and tasty food, this is the place to go! read more

What can i say? BEST GODDAM THAI IN REDDING CA. What else can i say? THEY ARE NOT FROM REDDING CA. (thank god) I came in for lunch and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. Flavor bursting with every bite. Yummy. This place can get crazy busy, that's an indicator of how good it is. Show up at 11 if you want to get in and out quickly. Amazing food. read more

Great food. Great prices! My favorites are the red curry and pho. Also love their hours as well!

Hands down our favorite place to eat in Redding! We are pescatarian so our go to is the Seafood Pho and Spicy Catfish! The friendly staff, terrific food and great prices, this has become a staple for us! Come here starving so you can enjoy the flavorful food! read more

Really great food!! Had the Basil Catfish and it was tender and delicious!! I didn't even have to add extra seasoning because they made it so good! The vegetables in the Yellow Curry were cooked perfectly and their option of sticky rice was a solid choice!! Their vegetable egg rolls were probably the best egg rolls I've ever had!! They fill them with rice noodles which was a nice surprise along with the egg rolls not being greasy at all!! The interior is cute and they don't skimp on the choice of seasonings. Can't wait to come back!! read more

Very poor service. The service is very lacking, the servers are somewhat snobbish to say the least. Patrons are made to feel as if we our doing them a favor by eating at the establishment. The poorest service I have received in the Redding area and I patronize most of the eateries in town. The food is not as bad as the service. The food received was fresh and flavorful. They seem to have a decent variety of food items to keep you coming back, if you don't mind the subpar service. read more

First off the girls are really nice and very accommodating and they're pho is so good the pad tai is delicious as well

This is by far the worst Thai food I've ever eaten. My boyfriend and I waited a good hour for our food and when we finally received our pad Thai dishes they tasted horrible. The whole dish was watered down and the meat tasted old. We notified our server and she said we still had to pay even though we took one bite. I'm so mad at myself for going to this restaurant again and again just to be treated to poor customer service and crappy food. If your wanting a nice dish of pad Thai please take your money where your more appreciated. read more

We are from out of town and went with family. The place was busy and constantly turning tables. Not many empty tables in the place consistently while we were there. We ordered yellow curry, pho, drunken noodles, pad Thai, and avocado spring rolls. Everything was so good we will probably be going back in next few days before we leave town! read more

Their fresh spring rolls are delish as well as their pad kee mow the girls are always really cordial and there is usually never a long wait. Also their boba Thai tea is one of my all time faves! read more

Staff was very kind. The Thai Style Papaya Salad was a great starter. The Coconut Shrimp qppetizer had a burnt smell to it when we ate it and was a bit harsh to chew... it was a bummer as we were looking forward to it. I also ordered their Pineapple Shrimp Curry with sticky rice for the main. I enjoyed it but I will add that it's a bit on the sweeter side, especially with the pineapples as part of the dish. The sticky rice was also hard chew and the shrimp was overcooked. Their banana ice cream was a little better. It comes with deep fried bananas(and syrup for dipping) with a bowl of ice cream. Their Thai Iced Coffee was also extremely sweet if you're drinking without stirring the creamer, so I would recommend mixing for the best taste. Otherwise, if you need a kick, knock yourself out without stirring! read more

I always get spring rolls from here, and normally they are very good but I had found what I thought was a hair on top of my roll and just took it off and kept eating but then as I was about to take another bite I found what I thought was a bigger hair until it poked me there's wire in my rolls. I'm not angry, but that could potentially hurt someone and I'm just glad I found it before I ate it. read more

This is the worst service ever!! I waited over 30mins to order my food. Another 30mins for a bowl of pho... good food but bad service

Quite possibly the worst Thai food we have ever had, and customer service beyond horrible. Between the bland food, 2 separate orders being messed up, our rude waitress, 1 item not even being close to as described, and our sticky rice and mango made with sour green and yellow mangos that were far from ripe enough I am so looking forward to some good Thai food once we return from our trip to wash away the memory of this entire experience. read more

My boyfriend and I decided to stop here because we never even knew it was here. Words cannot begin to describe how happy we made that choice! Walking in, everything was so clean and organized. We were greeted warmly and looked over the menu. We both ordered off the lunch special menu - an entree (with choice of rice), soup, and salad. My boyfriend ordered the garlic lover with pork and jasmine rice, while I ordered the basil eggplant with pork and sticky rice. The food was full of flavor and spice (we love spicy!) and everything nice. And you get so much for your food - all for $6.95 each! You can't beat that! I'd recommend the whole menu if I could. And, their Thai iced tea is to die for! They recently opened up and trying to get business back, so go there for sure. Great food, very reasonably priced, and the family who owns the restaurant is so friendly. We are definitely going back! read more

I drive truck and eat pho all over the place and this is probably the best pho I've had, great chicken wings!will definitely come back and try the rest of the food here.. Good service also.. read more

The best flavors, service and fresh made to order Vietnamese food in Redding. Specials are $5.00 bucks daily. Include huge bowls of PHO PAD THAI is incredible and again, 5 bucks for Dinners special. Go and try this place, Its getting busy and is one of my new favorites for flavors and price in Redding. read more

We just passing through and wanted some Asian food . We ordered beef and vegetables stir fried and all We tasted was the sauce . I could have made 3 dishes out of that amount of sauce , way too much . We also ordered chow mein , I asked for tofu instead of meat and I got exactly 5 little squares of tofu in the whole meal . The noodles were mushy as well and it was very garlicky and salty , so I had to squirt in a lot of hot sauce . Anyway it would had been nice if the waitress came by and ask us how our food was , she was eating her dinner across from us . I guess that pretty much sum up our dinner at this place , will not come back ! We made our mind up that we will not go to a restaurant that serve more than 1 specialty !!! This place serve Thai, Vietnamese and Laotian food ... read more

Although clearly they don't spend a lot on decorating and atmosphere, that suits me just fine because the food is awesome and the prices totally reasonable! I've loved everything I've ordered there! every time we've gone there we tell ourselves we're not going to forget this place but we don't drive by it very often so sometimes months go by until one of us remembers it exists. Great service nice people fresh and tasty food and affordable. Can't beat that! read more

OK So the bar was set high for this new thai place since they moved into the former building of one of the best thai places in redding, Kanya Gardens, which was my parents and I's default restaurant when eating out. Jenny the owner of the previous Kanya Gardens always created a pretty good atmosphere in the restaurant but the first thing I noticed when sitting down was the atmosphere felt dead, lifeless, no personality at all. I mentioned this to my Dad and he agreed. We ate here for lunch. I ordered the pad see you chicken 8$ (thats the way the spelled it) and my dad ordered the panang curry chicken lunch special 6$. The menu was very poorly done as the titles of dishes were printed in this abrasive red which was hard to read printed over this picture of a thai women which i thought looked tacky and unnecessary let alone hard to read. They brought out the little salads that came with the meal but the dressing was pretty gross. It was like an attempted honey mustard but had bad flavor and was not a good precursor to a meal. Our food came out on tropical blue colored plastic oval plates. I felt like the portions of the noodles were a little small compared to other noodle dishes locally at that price. The noodles themselves were good but the sauce they used to cook them was a bit off. I don't know what it was but it just wasn't good. Also the noodles were a bit dry. The broccoli that came in the dish wasn't stir fried in but rather steamed and set on top. My dad said his panang was ok but at the end was like meh. I was hoping for another great thai restaurant in redding but I guess what we already have will do the job. I don't see myself coming back to the thai house anytime soon. If your looking for good thai then I recommend: Kanya Garden- Great food great service highly recommend (once they find a new building.) Janya's - Have had very good experiences here and has the best ambiance of any thai restaurant in redding. Racha Noodle- CASH ONLY has poor service and most dishes have small portion sizes but they do have some great dishes. Nipas- The only thing i ever go to Nipas for is the drunken noodles everything else here is mehh. But the drunken noodles they do right. I usually ask for less veggies as they tend to put half the kitchen in it otherwise. read more

Just stopped by here to pick up a to go order and from the moment we walked in it was extremely stressful standing around getting stared at by the other seated customers... We seated ourselves and later were asked about our order.... We finally received our order after 50 minutes of waiting.... So ridiculous and on top of that we didn't even get forks or spoons in our Togo bags read more

Cheap and great portions for the cost! Authentic flavors as well. Definitely would recommend. read more

Everything is so sweet. It's like they added half pound of suger to my seafood platter.

I had the beef pho and it's now my favorite pho spot around. A medium size was cheap and more than enough, I ended up taking half of it home. Really happy to have found this place! read more

Wow! That was HOT! I ordered the Pad Ke Mao (Drunken Noodles) and my GF ordered the Swai Catfish. We asked for mild spice level. Never have I had to ask for milk before! I think it will be another day before I can taste again. Great flavors! Huge portions. But ask for NO heat! read more

This is hands down the best value for truly GREAT Thai food in Redding. I have never been disappointed here and especially like the fact that they remember us when we come in. The cook comes out frequently to greet us and we try to communicate with about 50% success. Everything is amazing here! My favorite is the Basil Catfish!! read more

Amazing. I got the small seafood pho and he got the large beef combination. It's the best seafood pho I've had. Most I've had tend to be watered down. We asked for the chili oil that we love to add to pho but take heed, it's so spicy here! I don't know what they do to it but it was so deliciously spicy. The avocado spring rolls are so good and they're big. Everything was very affordable and the staff was super friendly. read more

Rose Garden - Small seafood pho and a large combo beef pho. Also some avocado spring rolls. - Thai Near Me - Redding, California

Great curry, great eggrols! Try with the spicy green sauce. Not sure on the other dishes yet.

The avocado rolls were a huge portion and amazing!!! The yellow curry was very bold and had a perfect flavor! I have tried a lot of thai and this place is definitely one of the best in the city! Very affordable and great service! Was a very nice atmosphere but I didn't feel judged and uncomfortable like I have at some other thai places, you don't need a suit and tie to feel at home here and I love that! Brought my 4 month old baby and it was nice because he was able to sleep because the noise was minimal but not where you had to worry how loud you talk. The bathroom was very clean! They even give you nice plastic snap top containers to go! The only bad thing is the drinks are not the boba drinks like they show in the picture and are very small for $2! read more

I get the Green Curry most of the time when I order Thai food. I always get it medium spicy. This time I asked for in-between medium & hot. This green curry was (is) the bomb. Perfect amount of spicy. SO GOOD! There are good Thai restaurants in Redding (thank you cooks). Rose Garden is my favorite. BTW, they don't just prepare Thai (Lao & Vietnamese too). Excellent menu. read more
