We live in a century old house. One of the older windows finally gave up the ghost. I called Rose City and I'm just stunned about their turn around time, great demeanor and professionalism. I'm sure the can't be this prompt for everyone and I "just got lucky" but their glass man was at our place less than an hour after my first call. He measured and called me back to quote a price within another hour and was back at our place exactly on time the next AM, first thing. We had a small job, most shops are not terribly interested in these, for obvious reason which I understand, but Rose City quite literally replaced our little busted kitchen window in less than 24 hours and they were just fantastic to work with while they did it. Rose City sent two men out on the Friday before Labor Day to measure some window panes for replacement. I appreciated the immediate attention as my dog had put his paw through one of the panes in the front door. However, there has been no follow up for over a week. I've tried calling them again 3 different times and left a message each time. Still NO RESPONSE. I was very disappointed because their initial response was great. What do you do when a company clearly doesn't want your business? You move on. Ended up hiring SUNSET GLASS and they were great! read more

We have used Rose City Glass before to replace the old glass in 6 French doors with new UV panes. Their work was superb. Recently we had them make wood frame, bronze, screen doors. As our house is 80 years old there was no standard size. They came out, measured and came back a couple of weeks later with a painted, perfectly fitted pair of doors. I made a 1:30 appt. At 2:30 they hadn't shown up. I called the office and the owner's wife said she would call them and get back to me. At 3:30 she had not gotten back to me so I called her to find out what was happening. She said she would try them again and get back to me. Never heard back. This was a week ago. I will never contact them again if they don't even have the courtesy to call back and explain why they didn't show up. I came to Rose City Glass almost 10 years ago on a random hunt to custom build parts for my aquarium addiction. Just last week I ventured to find this place again and found it still in tact with a new owner. They were closing 30 minutes early due to the Holiday season, but I was let in and greeted with the same friendliness I received in the past by the new owner. I only needed a small 7"x5" 1/4 piece of glass which was cut and beveled edged in a few minutes. Though I didn't have any cash on me, the owner casually just let me have this piece for free. The piece of glass was only used to cover some holes in an aquarium; quality wasn't of upmost concern, so I can't give a sincere opinion on that, but I can say attention and service is personal and friendly. read more

This business is local and family run. Very reasonably priced for all kinds of jobs from picture frame glass to shower doors, mirrors, and windows. I got quotes from them for a remodeling job. Very nice and easy to work with. Not only were the prices great, but they can also do delivery and installation. I broke a window pane Friday night and called Rose City Glass and another competitor Saturday afternoon for a quote. German called back an hour or so later, gave me a rough estimate, and scheduled the repair for first thing Monday morning. I left town Sunday for a trip. Luis (German's son) showed up Monday morning, called to confirm the repair and estimate, he completed the repair that morning can called again later for payment via credit card. I cannot say enough about these guys. I had an enormous sofa delivered--through my second floor window. It's a California thing. No way was that sofa going up the stairs. Rose City glass came and took the old pane out (which wasn't tempered and needed to be replaced anyway), left until the sofa was delivered, then replaced the glass. Pros. A technician from Rose City Glass came out to my house almost 2 weeks ago to measure for an antique glass vanity top. I was told that I would be contacted via email for a quote. I never received the quote. I called a couple days later to make sure that they had the correct email address and was told they were still looking into the matter. They are totally unprofessional and extremely flaky. It is incomprehensible to me that Rose City Glass has any repeat customers.
