We usually get cakes from Porto's but we got tired of it..they don't really have much variety anymore. Porto's is goood but they do NOT have coffee cakes for coffee lovers whatsoever. The tres leches cake was amazing but I feel the customer service is lacking. When I ordered they asked me if I wanted fruit. Based on the picture I saw online for tres leches, I imagined it would come on top. So I said yes. At the end of the call the woman I spoke to told me that since it's tres leches, it shouldn't be out of the fridge more than an hour. Ok, that's fine. When I get there to pick up there are no fruits on top. They're in the filling. And now they tell me that because of the filling, it shouldn't be out for more than 30 mins max. I feel like I wasn't explained the options. I know I asked for balloon decoration but they should've said something about how having that means no fruit on top? Anyway, great tasting cake. I came across this little hidden gem on Yelp. They have really good reviews so I thought I would give this place a try. I was looking for a bakerey to do my son's birthday cake. My wife emailed them and they were very quick to respond. They seemed like a bakerey that was affordable but had quality. We came in to choose a design for the cake and to try flavors. Maria was the person helping us and she was excellent. We took along time asking questions, picking a design and trying flavors. Throughout the whole process she was very patient and gave us all the information we needed. The parking is sometimes a pain depending on what time you go. The inside is very nice they have displays of different cookies and various pasteries. They also offer fresh made expresso which you can't go wrong with. When choosing a cake design they have some different ideas you can choose from or you can bring your own. The day I came and picked up my cake was a breeze they had everything ready. The appearance of the cake was stunning it looked exactly like the picture but better. I got a vanilla cake with Oreos filling and a vanilla whipped cream frosting. The cake was very moist and not dry. The filling had a very strong taste of oreos. The frosting was perfect it was sweet but not overwhelming. The size of the cake and for the price I paid you can't beat. Everyone at my son's birthday enjoyed the cake and we even still had some to take home and eat for a couple days after. While in search for a bakery in the Valley that offered quality cakes with good pricing, I came by Rose Bakery here on Yelp. With good reviews and promising photos, I decided to give them a try. I needed a cake for an event and came to them just in time - they need about 2-3 weeks for any specialty cake. I brought in a photo of the cake that I wanted and they promised to come through. While they didn't offer a tasting initially, they do offer them so just remember to ask. The flavors are decent but they do not offer fresh fruit for any of the cakes which is the only drawback in choosing them. Ultimately, I decided to pay the extra $25 to have them deliver it as I didn't want to screw up this 2 tier cake by making a sudden stop or sharp turn in my car. Being that I was going to pay $150 for a 25-30 ppl serving cake, spending an additional $25 to ensure its safe delivery was a small fee. Ultimately - Pros - Friendly service Quality design and execution Completed on time and delivered in perfect condition Cons - you cannot make any changes within 2-3d days from completion. The flavors aren't the most groundbreaking i.e. marble, red velvet, lemon just to name a few. In comparison to other higher end bakeries, the flavors and moist consistency is a 6 or 7 out of 10. Plus there aren't any fresh fruit options. But, for the price you are paying (at least $100-$150 less than other spots) you will be happy with the cake as a whole. I would recommend this spot to anyone who may be on a budget but still want a beautiful cake! read more

Located in a large corner strip mall with several other small business's. Parking is ample and way to get in and out of. Grabbed an Oreo cupcake ($1.85) and a few rugula cookies and a coffee ($2.05) for a little over $5. Not the healthiest of snacks but hey we all need a cheat. So my Oreo cupcake, although small was pretty good. There's an Oreo cookie on top with a light fluffy whipped cream frosting and surprise, an Oreo cookie cooked into the bottom of the cake. Yum. Coffee tastes fresh and they have a variety of specialty coffees as well. The cashier was a friendly lady who have me recommendations. There's one small table with two chairs inside. They sell cakes by the slice and whole. A variety of baked cookies and a few pies. It appears like they make custom wedding cakes as well. Candle display it's a little tacky and they have a desk at the back of the small store that's a little off putting. But I can see space is limited. If you're in the neighborhood check them out.
