It's a beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing space with plenty of seating and even the bathrooms were nice and definitely well-maintained. I had the Coconut Cloud with Matcha and it was perfectly refreshing. I also sampled the Biscoffee and it had a strong espresso flavor that was well complemented by the sweet cookie butter flavor. The bungeoppang was freshly prepared and well worth the $5.50 for 2; the hotteok flavor was my favorite. Overall, Peak is a wonderful space and a comfy place to study in. No wifi on Sundays though!

The Bischoffee or Banana Latte or Corn Coffee were all very tempting but I went for my preferred drink these days Strawberry Matcha although as I stood there waiting for my drink (which quite a bit longer than my friends American) I was regretting not trying one of their insane looking coffee drinks (aka deserts). My BF said his Americano was excellent, not acidic or bitter in any way. My strawberry matcha was good, a bit too jammy, but not cloyingly sweet although the matcha itself was mildly flavored, it was highly caffeinated since it kept me from falling asleep at my regular time. If I was in the area I'd absolutely go back there again.

The food is always fresh, tasty, and very reasonably priced, which keeps us coming back. Some of our absolute favorites are the potato pirashki, cabbage pirashki, nacho cheese empanadas, and of course the custard and Nutella ponchiks--everything is always warm, flavorful, and perfectly made. Today my husband, who is very picky, decided to try their lahmajun for the first time. He loved it! It was crisp, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. That was another win for Papillon. Definitely worth trying a variety of their recipes--you really can't go wrong here.

I greeted the woman at the front counter just letting her know I was there but was aware I was a bit early. Without a response greeting & somewhat dismissive, "yea...it's 30 minutes". Let her know that wasn't a problem and I'll just wait around. Every customer she greeted after me was greeted, wayyyyy less attitude. The bakery started filling up with people and my order was ready. Once I get to the counter, she boxes my food dismissively then proceeds to shove it in my direction, purposely avoids eye contact while doing so & then when I smile & say 'thank you'. Response given... 'bye'. Although the food was delicious, the entire interaction was off putting & soured the experience. Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning to this location. I understand a bad day or a rude customer, but this didn't feel like that. The entire experience felt unwelcoming & unenjoyable. The bakery its self is cute, clean & would make a lovely place for a hangout... it just won't be a place I'd choose to frequent again. Hopefully someone else has better experience. I will recommend the food. Just not the service.

The dessert was just as good--soft, flavorful, and topped with the perfect crunch for contrast. You can tell Cafe 86 knows exactly what they're doing when it comes to ube. It's a great late-night dessert spot with a relaxed vibe and consistently solid quality. If you're an ube fan (or trying it for the first time), Cafe 86 is a must.

If I had went to school here it would have been the perfect study spot! I got to try a bakery item and a few other drinks. To be honest, I would stick with their ube products. The dragon berry calamansi just tasted really sweet. I got to try their ube butter bar and it's exactly as you would imagine! Super creamy and melts in your mouth. It's super sweet, so maybe that's why I didn't really enjoy my drink. The jasmine calamansi paired much better with the butter bar. I feel like it would go well with a hot jasmine tea. Lastly, their upside down halo halo is always a hit. Whenever we go to northridge I always have to make a stop here. Unfortunately, I do not stop by this area often anymore.

Parking was easy to find, they have a lot and there are several surrounding free parking lots. The cafe inside was clean and well designed with several tables - by the time we got out drinks, a table had cleared up and we sat down. We ordered the matcha einspanner and the hojicha einspanner. The matcha was high quality, very rich and strong. The cream added a nice sweetness, but it wasn't overall sweet or bitter either. I love hojicha and always recommend it as an alternative to matcha or coffee at cafes. The hojicha here was chocolatey and smooth, absolutely amazing! Being a huge matcha fan, I was all set to order one, but then I spotted a unique drink on the menu called "Fluffy Hojicha." I got curious and asked a staff member what hijocha was. They told me it has a distinct roasted flavor, which really intrigued me. Not knowing what to expect from a roasted tea, I decided to give it a try. The wait for my sister's drink, along with a crème brûlée donut and a strawberry donut, was just a quick 3-5 minutes. The first sip of the Hojicha caught me off guard; it wasn't my favorite right away. But with each sip, I started to appreciate and eventually really enjoy the unique roasted flavor of the tea. The crème brûlée donut was a lovely addition - just the right amount of sweetness without being too much. ELNO is located in a building with other small vendors, and there's a seating area that fits only two to three people. I found parking easily since I went on a weekday around 4 PM. My sister mentioned that on weekends, parking is a real hassle. It's definitely worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.
