The menu is direct, with old staples, but I really wanted a basic chicken Alfredo (my Nona would murder me). I asked my server, Lauren, if there was something that could be done. She was absolutely fantastic - the food was brilliant (and even Nona would begrudgingly agree), and I even decide to take a mozzarella "pillow" (ie Deep Fried slab of melty cheese) with a delicious marinara home. Lauren made the experience comfortable, and the chefs made the meal worth every penny. Thank you - genuinely, thank you.

The space has been beautifully updated and now feels contemporary, romantic, and much more like an upscale dining destination. The new bar is especially inviting, and I can easily see my husband and me stopping in just for drinks and happy hour. Speaking of happy hour--it was one of the highlights of our visit. The appetizer and drink selection is excellent, and even the house Chardonnay (which I almost never order) was surprisingly delicious. Our favorite dishes were the pizza, which was exceptional, the burrata salad, and the artichoke appetizer. All three were standouts and are absolutely worth ordering again. We split the Bolognese. While it was enjoyable, it tasted more like a classic spaghetti and meat sauce than the rich, slow-cooked ragù I typically expect from a traditional Bolognese. It wasn't bad by any means--I simply think this is one recipe that could be elevated to match the quality of everything else we had. I also want to give a special thank-you to our server, Michael. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helped make our evening enjoyable. Great service always makes a difference, and he did an excellent job. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back. If you've been hesitant because of the overall rating, I'd encourage you to give Martin's a try. Based on our experience, it's well worth visiting.

My wife and I shared a Margherita pizza, a chicken Parmesan dinner with rigatoni, and a salad. It was a ton of food, and we loved it. The homemade tomato sauce was the standout, truly second to none. I was so impressed that I asked the owner what kind of tomatoes he uses, and he told me. Even with the same tomatoes, though, I doubt I could duplicate that sauce. There are so many styles of Italian cooking, and this one really hit the mark for me. The owner told me he's from Naples, Italy, had a restaurant in New Jersey, and learned his trade in Brooklyn. That got my attention. Italian food in Brooklyn is the real deal, and his experience shows. There's plenty of off-street parking and a large, shaded patio, where we enjoyed our meal. You order inside, choose your table, and they bring the food out to you. The service was excellent, and I couldn't have been happier with the whole experience. I don't live in Clearwater, but if I did, this would be a weekly stop. Love this place...

We were lucky and found a spot on a side street that was only two blocks away. I made reservations but on a Tuesday at 7:30 there were tons of open tables so it wasn't necessary. We came with another couple and got two appetizers along with our main and it was the perfect amount of food. For the appetizers, we got the calamari and the arancini. I preferred the calamari, it was perfectly fried without feeling too greasy and perfectly seasoned. The Arancini was quite good, but I'm just not a huge fan of multiple fried dishes. The arancini was a choice of my husband and he loved it. For my main, I got the arugula salad and added shrimp. My husband got the marsala and switched out potatoes for pasta, which is absolutely the way to go because their pasta is delicious. My salad came with a huge amount of arugula so I ended up taking some of the dish home. They have homemade burrata which was creamy. I also got their version of a margarita, I actually found it a little too sweet, so I would opt for another drink next time. My husband got a smoked old-fashioned and really enjoyed it. They have bread with olive oil that comes to every table, it is delicious so make sure you're prepared to eat the bread because the olive oil is fantastic. Our server was extremely sweet. She said she was the youngest daughter of the family that owns the place. She also mentioned that if you want to tiramisu, you should call ahead because it's her brother that makes it and they run out. So next time we will definitely need to request the tiramisu. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Ambience is very nice, it's upscale without feeling pretentious and I love all the lemon decor

We selected two of the homemade pastas to enjoy with our entrées. The chicken burrata was served over a bed of homemade pasta and vodka sauce. The chicken was nice and crispy and the pasta was al dente. Perfectly cooked. Our other entrée that we enjoyed was the.Branzino. It was served with a side of homemade fettuccine and some broccolini.. It was marvelous and we wished that we had ordered two of those at the time just because Bronzino typically is a smaller portion.. it was so GOOD!
