Nicest workers ever. Food is so good. The meatball sub and chopped salad are my go to.

Since new management took over the place has gone downhill! Save your money. Rude staff and food is over priced for the quality.

The flavor of my dinner was definitely homemade and something very special not your average Italian. Our server was very nice and helpful as we had not been before she did answer questions and have some good advice. We look forward to going back. I also want to try their place Nextdoor. It was a fun experience and the restaurant had cute spots to eat it was all different rooms and fun decor

Paisano's on Broadway occupies a unique--and important--place in Richmond's dining landscape…read more Credit where it's due: Phil and Karen Gilardi were instrumental in elevating the town beyond pure fast-food dependence. They recognized early that Richmond sits on a corridor of movement--Chicago flowing north toward Lake Geneva, that Midwestern analogue to the Riviera--and made a legitimate attempt to create a stop where people could sit down, slow down, and share a meal. I still remember my first visit, back when Paisano's had maybe five tables. I was seated next to none other than Dan Rostenkowski, then Speaker of the House. That moment captured something about the place: it aspired to be part of a broader, more connected world than Richmond typically experiences. The concept has always been clear--family-style, approachable Italian, positioned as a step above casual dining. And to their credit, they've maintained consistency over the years. That said, the food itself lands squarely in the "acceptable" category. Not offensive, not memorable--reliably mediocre. It satisfies the requirement of a meal without ever quite justifying a detour. Yet here's the reality: within a five-mile radius, Paisano's remains the only place where you can reasonably take someone on a sit-down date without apology. That alone gives it staying power. Paisano's isn't trying to be extraordinary--and it doesn't quite get there. But it filled a vacuum when it arrived, and in many ways, it still does.

One Star Is Too Generous - An Unforgivable Experience…read more This was, without exaggeration, the worst experience I've ever had trying to get food delivered in my life. I placed a substantial order: a large pizza, two desserts, a calzone, cheesecake, fries, and a soda. What did I receive? Absolutely. Nothing. Not a crust, not a crumb--zero food. Let's be clear: this wasn't some unavoidable disaster. There's a bridge out on my street--a fact I told the restaurant when I ordered. I even explained it again to the driver on the phone. Other delivery drivers have no issue. Everyone else figures it out. It's not some cursed labyrinth--it's literally just a detour with directions I provided. Instead, their driver showed up at the completely wrong address. The bridge wasn't even the issue. He was already lost. To make matters worse, the driver didn't speak English--which is fine, except I had to step in and do their job for them. I called him, in Spanish, gave him clear instructions, and even walked to the closed bridge in the rain to meet him halfway. He never showed up. So now I'm standing in the middle of my neighborhood like a desperate pilgrim trying to retrieve a calzone that never existed. Meanwhile, the pizza place? They ghosted me. Stopped calling. No follow-up. No apology. Just radio silence. This place is a joke. A tragic, customer-service-abandoning, time-wasting, dinner-ruining joke. Unless you like playing hide-and-seek with your dinner, do not order from here. And the punchline? I had to make myself dinner. After all that, I stood in my kitchen and made my own damn food. Pathetic. Update: lol the manager offered that he could "maybe give me a coupon for NEXT time." Give me a break, Ha! I'm never going back. I told him he could eat the gross pizza that I only order because the good place (Angelo's) is closed. Do you self a favor and go somewhere that has good pizza, competent management, and delivery drivers who can find an address.

We got our own little room that was just big enough for our booth for 5. Complimentary Bread was delicious Special salad that came with the meals was good- the little pieces of Italian sausage & slices of egg made it better. I had 1/2 lasagna & 1/2 mostaccioli- lasagna was large & delicious. Mostaccioli was just cheap pasta with red sauce dumped on it. Wife had a nice steak w/ a side of fettuccine Alfredo instead of potato that looked very good. Son had just lasagna & his full large portion was enormous but he ate it all. Another son had a fish dinner w side of Alfredo. The last son just ordered the fettuccine Alfredo & added 2 meatballs that weirdly came in a red sauce, he didn't care just dumped it right on top of his Alfredo. A nice touch was-Everybody gets a scoops of ice cream after dinner, they had 5-6 choices. Everything was good-very good I'd recommend the lasagna or fettuccine Alfredo definitely the salad & bread. Negatives would be the only phone reservations & the price is high for just noodles & sauce. Bill was $160 for 5 dinners & 3 lemonades. So after tip around $200
