Soooooooo worth the wait. Yes the pizza takes awhile to cook, but that's why you can grab a beer and playa slot machine while yThis is a hidden gem that a lot of people don't know about in the area. I'm not sure if she's the owner or bartender but the elderly, short, blonde ladely is incredibly rude and ill-mannered. Hopefully they can hire better staff that truly cares about customers and wants to be a good representation for the company. Previously ordered from here and the crust was similar to a hand tossed. It was fine but I prefer thin crust. So tonight we decided to try them again and I have to say I am pretty impressed. Best thin crust spicy sausage pizza in the Beloit area. Found this hidden gem by accident. The restaurant is a tiny store front in a strip mall area on 51 as I was heading home from Janesville to Beloit. It's a bar with lots of Sports going so lots of locals having a beer enjoying the game. There's a small bar area, a couple hi tops and a couple booths off to the side. They have a busy carry out and an extensive bar type menu. The wait staff is the bar tender and the few times I've been there the staff has been super friendly. Highly recommend! Decided I was sick of the chain pizza places and gave these guys a try tonight. Overall the food is good. I kept things simple and just ordered pepperoni and mushroom. The mushrooms were thick hand cut and the sauce to cheese to crust ratio was on point. Crust is good, we had hand tossed. Wish they had a pan style of deep dish though. Tasted like it could very well be homemade. The only thing slightly surprising/disappointing thing was they aren't the best at customer service. Maybe it was just a busy Saturday but they were somewhat short with me when ordering and picking up. Not a huge deal, I get it.. being busy and the end of a long day. All in all though, good pizza and pretty good experience. I'll be back =) forget Pizza Hut. Give this place a try. read more

I love this place. There's such a strange charm from finding a small little restaurant in a gas station parking lot sandwiched between a trailer park and a strip club (One that is notable for advertising a free lap dance in exchange for filing your taxes!). Chubby Bubba's specializes in the type of food you would find at a Superbowl party, and they execute it wonderfully. Wings, seasoned breadsticks, pizza, they're all here and they are all done wonderfully. There are many different beers available on tap at the bar, and all drinks are served in a frosty mug. It definitely isn't a high class establishment but there is definitely a sense of casualty and unsophistication that comes from it. I wouldn't feel ashamed or even out of place coming here in sweats and a baggy hoodie, and I love that; sometimes I feel like I just want comfort food without all the hassle. In terms of the environment, it's a pretty barebones place. Parking in the gas station is always plentiful, either on the side or directly in front of Chubby Bubba's. Once inside, you're greeted with the bar directly in front and a number of TVs scattered throughout. There are some casino gaming machines off to the left, which from what I've seen are almost always occupied, and then a TV off to the right manages the jukebox and shows what is currently playing. Bubba himself will oftentimes be out at the bar chatting with regulars, if he's not in the back cooking. The waitress is always extremely attentive and very friendly and helpful, making sure we have enough room at the table and often dragging another table over to hold the pizza. Our glasses are also never empty, which is great (and oftentimes a con even at far nicer places) For food, we almost always start with an order of the bubba stixx (glorified breadsticks) with cheese or garlic seasoning, and then an order of 10 wings split between two flavors. These are a great way to hold over until the pizza is ready. We often order pizzas half and half, and one with the regular and one with the thin crust. It is all delicious! And oftentimes there are generous leftovers, which makes for great snacks later on in the day. My one complaint is probably the bathrooms, which could use some cleaning or just a little renovation. They're single-stall and are definitely the most evident feature that the restaurant is in a gas station complex. All in all, I love this place. I oftentimes miss it and I can't wait to head back and savor in the cheesy, salty goodness that is Chubby Bubba's. It's cheap too, so it is at least worth a shot. What do you have to lose!? P.S. Once I get a big enough group to go there, I really want to try the 28 dollar super pizza. According to the menu, it is an 8 POUND PIZZA and more than anything else I just want to see what a monstrosity such as that must look like. read more

Went for the first time for dinner at 6pm on a Tuesday night and it was pretty full! It is connected to a gas station, interesting location. I had a bottle of bud light which came out ice cold, it almost took my breath away it was so cold. Our waitress was very attentive and constantly moving around the restaurant checking on other people. We ordered a sausage pizza and the double cheese stixx. Food came out very fast and hot! Pizza and cheese stixx were very good! Got a gift certificate on restaurant.com so thought I would try the place out, and I would go back for more! read more

I am beyond annoyed by how they can never get my order right no matter how many times I repeat myself so they understand. All's I wanted was an XL pizza with mushrooms onions green peppers Xtra cheese on the WHOLE THING and half meatza pizza. Yet the meatza pizza side never gets the onion and mushroom and peppers on it. The food is delicious that's why I keep going back but get it together this happens Everytime and we order once a month. read more

I ordered a pizza from the Milton Ave location, but that was the wrong store so they forwarded my order to this location. When I got home my roommate had already signed for the pizza, but it was incorrect. When I called the Milton ave location they told me I had to talk to the south side location, where I was met with a rude manager with an angry tone who told me it was my fault. We have loved Chubby Bubbas for years. They have delivered delicious food to our house and my in-laws house (out in the country), with excellent customer service several times. Tonight we ordered from my parents house, 3 miles closer to their location on Hwy 51. We received a call from the manager telling us they couldn't deliver here. I explained the previous deliveries to my house, and was told, "well we shouldn't have done those, it's out of our delivery area." I was told in a very unhelpful and smug manner that no exceptions would be made. It's a shame that good customer service is such a foreign concept to someone in "management." We no longer recommend them and won't be back, along with my parents and in-laws. read more

Pizza is excellent. Nice choice of wings and sandwiches as well. Owners and the two bartenders are very friendly. Visit this location weekly for years. If ya like happy hour then they have one of the best around. It's only beer, no liquor so atmosphere doesn't get intense from the over-indulgers. Give them a try! read more
