I LOVE Rosa Maria's! For about 15 years I have regularly gone to the ones in Highland and Redlands. Now that I live up here, any time that I'm down the hill I know I'm stopping to grab my fav BRC! I was SO excited when I saw that there was one up here. As soon as I had the opportunity I stopped to get some food. Generally speaking the flavor was the same, but... the beans were dry and the rice was crunchy. I have never had this issue at the other locations, ever. The hot sauce was also not as hot, but that could have just been a slight change in tastebuds over the years. Whatever is different about this location, please fix it. I've been here twice for a bean and cheese burrito. The first time was at the drive thru. It's a well maintained property and the service was quick and friendly. The second time I ordered in. The patio is open air, clean and pleasant. Lots of road noise, though. The staff are some of the best fast food staff in the area. Warm and professional. The burrito is a good size. The second time the beans were runny. The cheese is a yellow cheese variety. Not my favorite. They could use better flour tortillas, more authentic and flavorful. I was so excited when I found out that they have a location up here in the High Desert. I love their Yummy carne asada burritos.

I am completely over this location. Every time I come here, I feel like I get scammed. For example, at the San Bernardino location, you get a side of onions for free here, they charge a dollar. No matter how many times I order extra meat, I don't notice any difference between a regular burrito and the regular burrito with extra meat!!!!!! I paid an extra $3.50 for. Loved the food! We ordered two medium Garbage Burritos and one small MBRC, these things are huge! Honestly, the medium and small sizes looked almost the same. Taste: 5 stars all the way. Everything was super flavorful. We asked to sample the Chile Verde since my husband doesn't do spicy, and they actually brought us a sample of each meat. The Chile Verde pork was the spiciest, then the Red Chili pork, and the chicken was the mildest surprisingly, the chicken was juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Customer Service: Very friendly and welcoming. What could be better: I asked for my rice on the side (which most places do for free), but they said it would be an extra charge. My husband didn't want rice at all and asked for extra beans instead of rice, they also said no, which felt a little rigid. Also, they only offer beef for tacos, not burritos, which was kind of a bummer. I finally went to this Rosa Marias and grabbed something for my son and it was pretty good according to him. I bought him a regular bean, rice and cheese burrito. The service was fast and friendly. I went through the drive thru so I can say how the inside is. They do have shaded outdoor seating. Definitely will be coming back. I love the Rosa Marias in Redlands and the prices are good compared to other similar places. I like how they have 3 different sizes for the burritos. I snapped a picture of their drive thru menu. I gave it a 3 star rating because I noticed they have been skimping on the meat...I went twice in a row once last night and once this afternoon. Both of my burritos were full of beans and cheese with very little meat. Ill try it one more time. If my burrito is skimpy on the meat....ill never come back. I just recently moved to the high desert and have been looking for a good inexpensive Mexican food restaurant and Rosa Maria's fits the bill perfect! Their chili rellano plate with a cheese enchilada is really good as well as the chips and salsa. The salsa is on the spicy side, but not too bad. Tried for the first time. I ordered a chile Reno burrito and it was AMAZING! I order the burrito everywhere, and it's always about the same. But here was different, it came with chicken and an amazing green sauce. Hands-down, the best chili rieno burrito I have ever had. My husband, on the other hand, ordered chicken enchiladas with beans and rice, the enchilada sauce was great definitely authentic, the chicken is cooked to perfection. I was so nostalgic about this place as I frequented it years ago when I worked in San Bernardino. We went there 2X a week, and the MBRC (with pork) was a staple. Fast forward to last week, and I found myself disappointed when we went to this new location. It was so...average. The tortilla wasn't fresh like you get at the good Mexican places. It was stiff and dry like the ones you get at the grocery store. The filling was fine I suppose, but nothing exciting. The chips and cheese reminded me of what I used to make in high school when I grated some cheddar over some Tostitos and threw them in the microwave. The nostalgia goggles were removed...I was red-pilled. There are soooo many Mexican fast food places up here that are just way better. I don't see myself returning. I'm a San Bernardino native and I'm so happy to have a Rosa Maria's in the HD. I've visited the new location twice and both times my order was messed up. The first time I took it home so I didn't get it corrected. The second time we ate at the location and I was able to get it fixed. I always get a Chile relleno burrito with meat, beans and extra jack cheese double wrapped. The burritos are big and getting them double wrapped keeps the in tack. You can never go wrong with a shredded beef taco either. read more
