Let me start by saying I travel the world and I have had authentic Mediterranean food. This place has DELICIOUS food. I'm a baba ganoush and hummus snob only because I've had the real deal. I have tried baba ganoush from Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and trust me ROROS is soooo much better. RORO's is the spot for GREAT MEDITERRANEAN FOOD. I love this family-owned hole in the wall. It's not a busy and bustling huge establishment so the food is prepped as best as can be for each and every order. It's not as greasy most places and everything just has a clean and authentic taste to it. The owner is incredibly friendly and the food is inexpensive and delicious. There isn't much seating but you might as well pop in for 10 minutes and take it home to enjoy. Recommendation: chicken souvlaki on pita read more

I wanted rice for dinner. Ordered the gyro dinner platter for 11.99. 3 sides included rice, potato salad, and Greek salad and 4 slices of 1 warm pita bread. All fresh ingredients and tasty. Family owned/ Mom and pop restaurant stood the test of time with great meals and side options. Owners were friendly. They greeted everyone that walked through their doors. They even came out the back to say hi to any patron that walked in. This particular day, a local took her time to stop by and tell them how their restaurant was featured in the local paper and They had nothing but good things to say about the place. Cash and credit card accepted with no additional charges. Plenty of street parking in front of establishment. Close to Lirr. Will be coming back to try other dishes. read more

Roro's Gyro - Fresh platter - American Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

Roro's is literally a gem! Family owned and food has been consistent for years!!! Love this place!

I had my eye on this spot for a while but my usual Gyro place has been knocking it out of the park so I just couldn't pull myself away from them. But then one day they were closed and I really wanted a good Gyro so I jumped at the chance to call them, placed an order and I was not disappointed. I ordered their gyro platter which comes with warm pita 3 sides, yesssss people 3 sides!!! I choose hummus, falafel, and rice. Their food was fresh, hot, delivered timely, and didn't break your little piggy bank to boot *****Winner***** I've never tried the falafel, but boy was I missing out, they are scrumptious! The Gyro was amazing, actually, everything was fresh and absolutely flavorful and delicious. I'm so glad I tried Roro's. They are a quaint neighborhood spot that immediately attracted me to them. Those places are where you find a true love and passion for cooking along with great stories and a long line of family and cultural traditions. I am all about supporting my neighborhood and the hard-working families who depend on our support. If you find yourself in the area or are from VS and haven't tried Roro's Gyro, please do, their food will leave your tastebuds singing ~ HALLELUJAH, HALLELUJAH, HALE- LUUU-JAHHHHHH read more

Excellent food and quality. Great taste and flavor. The best Greek food than I ever try

So this gyro spot just opened up 3 weeks ago. I went today for lunch, the owners did a nice job with the place. The interior is very clean and everything looks new. There are 2 or 3 tables if you want to stay and eat. The staff was very prompt and friendly, it seems like it's a family business. I had the gyro, and potato salad and my boyfriend had the wings and quesadilla wrap. The food tasted great and was very fresh. They have a wide selection of both Greek and American food so I know I will be there again. Also, the prices are great and they deliver! Just keep in mind at the moment it's cash only. read more

It's a rather small place with just 3 tables, but they have a large menu and the staff is very friendly. The prices are also fair for what you get (a platter comes with 3 sides!). I ordered a gyro platter with 3 sides - hummus, baba ganoush and greek salad. The food was ready after about 8-10 minutes and they brought everything out for us to our table. The gyro was delicious, as was the hummus and the greek salad. I wasn't the biggest fan of the baba ganoush, but I figured I'd give it a try. I'll definitely be back to try something else on the menu. Also, you can tell that there are a decent amount of regulars who come here - there were customers coming in every 10-15 minutes for take-out who seemed to know the owner/manager well. This place is obviously doing something right. read more

Wait a second... Did I just get delicious Falafel delivered to my house? Yes I did! I didn't feel like cooking so my boyfriend and I decided to order food. We definitely didn't feel like leaving the house so we had to figure out the most decent delivery we can get in our neighborhood. I didn't want the typical Chinese food or Domino's so I did some research and found RoRo's. The person I spoke to that took my order on the phone was really friendly. The food arrived faster than expected. Not only do they have great prices, fast delivery, and amazing customer service, but the food is so delicious! We ordered the Falafel platter which comes with 3 sides. We picked the baba ganoush, rice and Greek salad. We also got a kaufta platter with rice, baba ganoush, and potato salad. Everything was great. Will forever be a customer. We loved it! read more

This place is my go to. From gyros to apps to platers, they always get me great food. I've read a lot of the reviews on here and the bad ones make me laugh. I've been eating here for so long and never have had a bad experience. Not only is the food great but it's consistently great. The owners are amazing and kind. The kind of people you get to know. I was walking with my baby who happen to get hungry when I was over there. I sat at the table outside and started feeding her and the owner came out to take my order. It's the little things like that, that I can always count on when I come here. read more
