Roro's Gyro - Grilled salmon, baba ganoush, tabbouleh and their Greek salad. - American Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

Whenever I am in Valley Stream, I stopped at this restaurant to get a falafel sandwich or a falafel platter. It's the best I've had. I also enjoyed the burgers and fries. read more

Saw a few reviews on the place so wanted to try it out. I have to say, I am happy I did. The restuarant is small and off the main road. Plenty of parking on the street. The food is amazing. The price for the platters is great for what you get. The main order with three different side orders. Plenty of combinations to mix and match with. I ordered the gyro with Greek salad, hummus, and rice. Also comes with pita bread. It really hit the spot. Would reccomend this place to everyone. read more

Wow, what a hidden gem! I found this place when i was searching for a lunch spot while working out in Long Island. I saw the reviews and instantly started craving a Greek salad. I put on the GPS and almost missed it, it's located right after a bridge. I found street parking and went inside, not the fanciest of restaurants; 3 tiny outdated tables that wobble with 2 chairs each. My kind of spot, you know the food is going to slap. Ordered my greek salad with grilled chicken, got a box of brownies that were on the counter just to balance out my healthy salad and a big ole Snapple from the fridge. Everything was on pointttt. Tasted fresh and delicious and the brownies were nice and moist. I would definitely come back here. There is a 4% extra charge if using a credit card but it's totally worth it. My meal came out to about $18 and i was full for the rest of the day. read more

Generous portions and legit food. I ordered a platter of chicken souvlaki and it came with three sides of my choice for 10.99. What a steal! Maybe I'm comparing the prices to the city, but you definitely get your bang for your buck. The chicken was super juicy and flavor able and the babaganoush was delicious with the pita. It's a good hole in the wall type of place with three tables. read more

Excellent service and the food is very good and fresh I would recommend them to anyone who is in the area

Their food is fresh and wonderful. I have been having my food delivered for several years, almost every day. It's been great!

Always fresh always nice a family owned local business that cares. Love this place and love their salads and gyros!

Wow, this IS a diamond in the rough. Don't let the outside fool you. I had the gyro (one of the best I've ever had). My wife had the lamb souvlaki with Greek salad and rice (they're rice is fire). My son had the chicken souvlaki with fries and rice (he's a teenager). Overall, this is IMO the best spot in VS for quality vs price. read more

I usually bring my own lunch to work, but today I decided I'd buy something from the neighborhood. It's about a 10 minute walk to Roro's from the office so I decided to place my order over the phone as I was heading out. Mario picked up the phone and he was very patient with me as I thought about which 3 sides I wanted with my gyro platter. Ultimately, I chose rice, Baba Ghanoush, and Greek Salad. All three sides were great! The rice was bland, but it's RICE so I really was not expecting much from it. However, it was perfect for my platter because the meat was well seasoned and flavorful. It was my first time trying Baba Ghanoush. There's definitely a smokey flavor to it, as a few other reviewers have mentioned. At one point, it tasted like smoked ham to me. The Greek salad was my favorite side out of the three that I chose; the dressing was light and used sparingly on the salad. The platter came with some pita bread, which were warm and soft. I ate it with the Baba Ghanoush, but it tasted great on its own, too. Portions were more than expected; I was only able to finish half of the box for lunch. I would definitely come back again! read more

Roro's Gyro - Gyro platter with Baba Ghanoush, Greek salad, and rice - American Near Me - Valley Stream, New York

I ordered a gyro dinner with rice and double Greek salad (you choose 3 sides). As you can see from the photo they use really fresh ingredients There was a snafu with my delivery as I apparently didn't ask for delivery and so they expected a pick up, but that's on me not them, yet they still accommodated me and fired up a new order and delivered it for me! Hats off to them for offering that. The food was super delicious and satisfying. Thanks again for another delicious dinner read more

I like their gyros and the chicken burgers are really good. It's a very small takeout restaurant, they have two small tables to eat on, that's why I gave 3 stars, not very much to rate them on, other than the food is good. I've been here several times and I will continue to eat here. read more

This is truly a hidden gem. I've been living in the area for almost 3 years and never noticed Roro's. I had a coworker who mentioned this place to me and highly recommended it. I've been hooked ever since. From the moment you walk in you feel like you're walking into your moms kitchen. They are so nice and welcoming. I've have the chicken souvlaki platter. Comes with the most juicy tender chicken and two sides, I recommend the Greek salad so good! But lately I've been hooked on chicken and lamb mixed gyro. This has to be the best gyro I've ever had in my life. The lamb is cooked to perfection and thinly cut not those big chucks. Only thing I regret is not finding this place sooner!!!!!! read more

The food is so good, period. Deff the best halal I've had. And they super friendly. Oh don't forget to get a brownie (thank me later) lol read more

Good food and good customer service. Came her for a quick lunch take out. Dining in space is very limited. Customers were in out. Sheila was very friendly and attentive. I ordered the Chicken Gyro. The gyro was delicious. It became increasingly flavorful as I came to the end of it. The sauce was great! I cant wait to return to try other menu items. read more

You wouldn't expect it from the look of the place but this place has some of the best Greek Food in Valley Stream. This is a small family run business with a very friendly couple. I've tried the other Greek places in town and keep coming back to this one. I recommend the mixed gyro and the Greek salad with chicken. read more

I went to roro's few weeks ago to pick up a lamb over rice. I'm unsure if the rice they gave me was old or the lamb they gave me was old but something was off. Long story short that night and the next day, I had intense stomach pains and was throwing up all day. I gave the store a call that day, looking to speak to the owner. I explained to the person on the other line what had happened. The person on the other line then said, they were in the middle of a busy lunch rush and the owner would contact me back. I get a call back 20 or so minutes later while I'm puking my guts up in the bathroom. I couldn't make it to the phone because of that reason. When I listened to message the store had left me on my cellphone, all I recieved was a hang up, that's it... No apology or worry if I was okay by the expired dog food I was served that made me sick beyond belief. I did not receive another call back from roro's and I will never go back. I did contact the board of health for Nassau county and really hope they look into the matter. And I also am in talks with my credit card company to dispute the charge. TLDR I do not recommend this place. Go to either chicken Gyro delicious or the Greek pie. Both are down the block, are way better and don't serve you dog food that makes you sick. read more

This review is loooong overdue. Alright, listen up... First off, customer service is on point. I believe its family owned. I tend to order delivery and i live about 10 mins away. Never had to wait longer than 30 mins and theyll tell you wait time is 30-50 (but nah). These people remember me by now cause ill order once every two months or so. Theyre super humble. Food- packed with flavor. My go to is Chicken Soulvaki Dinner Plate with the sides of tabouleh, greek salad and hummus. Sometimes ill swap one of them for rice or "babaganoosh" (dont know how to spell it but thats how you pronounce it) GENEROUS PORTIONS FOR WHAT YOU PAY. Love it. Always comes with pita and sauce too. Man, i can go on and on about this place. Ive ordered over 15 times since they opened. They hold a huge advantage over their competitor Chicken Gyro although they are CASH ONLY so my 15 times ordering there could have been 25 times if they accepted the holy plastic grail a.k.a card. Go try their food! The place is a hole in the wall but its a great addition to Valley Stream. read more

My FAVORITE Gyro spot!!! This place is literally a Gem! Family owned business . The food is Full of flavor and worth every Dime!

Fantastic family owned business! We are in here at least a few times a month, and I can't say enough good things about them. The food is always fresh and delicious! I love their falafel, tabooli, and gyro platter. Best of all the owners are so sweet too! They always have a smile on their face, always ask about our family, just genuinely nice people. If you didn't know better you'd just drive right by, but now you know so make sure to stop in, you won't be disappointed! read more

It may look dull and old fashioned but their food is good. I really enjoy their tzatziki sauce and their fries. I've ordered their gyros as well and they were not disappointing at all. read more

This place is great. It's a hole in a wall so don't be deceived by its appearance. I had the chicken souflaki platter. It was so good. It came with warmed up pita bread and I was allowed three sides; Greek salad, rice, and toulelah, which I never had and is great. The tziki sauce was great and the chicken was juicy and not dry. Prices are great. read more

UPDATE: They now accept cardssssssss . The food is still delicious! I typically call ahead so the service is pretty fast. This is probably my favorite gyro spot out of all of the places that I tried. So happy they aren't cash only anymore! read more

Unfortunately the hummus was spoiled and me and my family are sick today. I mean - we all have terrible diarrhea. TMI, but you need to know as consumers. I'll be calling to see if I can get a refund. How lousy that they don't check the quality of a large tub of hummus, esp on a Friday. The rest of the meal was mediocre. Def better off having the new greek place in lynbrook by the movie theater. Won't be coming back to this place again. Terrible! read more

Obsessed with this place. Their portions are very generous and the staff are always friendly. I usually get the chicken souvlaki platter with Greek salad, hummus and beets (all platters come with pita). I've also tried the fried shrimp w/rice and usually get that when I'm craving seafood. read more

Basic gyro spot that hit the spot! Inexpensive, quick and tasty. Great for take-out but they also have 3 small tables if you want to dine in (very casual). Tried the gyro with babaganush, rice and salad as my 3 sides and ate it all!! We also got a side of falafel which were crunchy on the outside and soft inside (not dry at all). Overall I was satisfied and would pop in again for a quick bite. read more

Amazing Greek spot in valley stream. Felafel is a go-to. Fries are amazing! Really authentic gyros and sides.

Love me some ro ro's. Ro ros wrap is the best! Also their chicken souvlaki is great. Nice people!!

Have gotten good from here multiple times and are more satisfied than the last 10/10 would recommend to a friend

I been coming here for years, love the place and today I was a lil disappointed with my order. The chicken and gyro meat looked like left over scraps that should've been discarded. Nothing like The orders I've gotten in the past. read more
